At Atrium Audio, Grant and Carson have a third story room that sits directly above the drumset where they mic guitar cabs at. That's gotta be the where the attic track comes from. It's so cool seeing audio engineers I've worked with from my hometown featured on channels like this; Their work is incredible.
This is amazing to see how much work and layering actually goes on in these songs. I would've never guessed that much was going on given the subtlety with which the certain tracks were mixed.
If only people knew what all goes into the songs they are putting out. Regardless of how you feel about metal, if you are a music guru, you can’t not appreciate the pure artistry of this track and everything involved.
individual tracks probably but you can tell that just from the clips at the beginning where everything is playing there is something missing in terms of cohesion a ton of compression goes into the final release. you wont hear most of whats going on unless you get the most out of your mix
I heard the track in Google play music after watching this video n man the final track is very very loud. I don't mean in a bad way. But I just turned up the volume to full on my phone n was listening via earphones n it was unbearable at full volume
Does anyone that pays for Nail the Mix have any feedback? Is it worth the money? I know the tracks are a huge incentive, but is the presented knowledge unique compared to some of the better stuff you can find for free online?
How sick is this session?!
Very fucking sick! Id love to see more ABR
Truly SICK. More ABR please :)
Listening to this completely dry is such a gift. You can just hear their pure skill

I could listen to this whole album with just his raw drum tracks. Phenomenal playing.
Matt is such a great drummer; I love the stuff he comes up with!
This is my favourite song in the new album. Very pleased to hear all the parts separately here.

Wow those solo drums are awesome! Are the drumtriggers already audible in those parts? If so, can you play them without triggers next time?
Your voice sounds similar to Jack Black! Great video!
You sound like h3h3 :)
