Star Wars Experts Answer Questions From Twitter | Tech Support | WIRED
I love how this video is just like one of Alex and Mollie's normal Q&A videos, but with WIRED editing.
I legit just said that only thing missing is RUclips and Patreon questions
For one second I thought it's a RUclips error for showing star wars explained video on wired channel 🤣
Yeah they're not official experts just RUclipsrs
Alex Damon is, without question, a Star Wars expert.
@@DanBen07 What exactly qualifies as an official expert to you??? 😂😂😂 You can't get a PhD is Star Wars lore (yet) but Alex Damon absolutely would if that were a thing.
Same!
Alex Damon is the reigning Star Wars Champion.
These guys went through an entire conversation about being a part of the Jedi religion but not having the force and didn’t even mention Chirrut Imwe once.
They completely forgot about the guardians of the whills
How about Mother Talzin & The Nightsisters and the Bardottans?
Yeah, they are "experts"..
As far as the "Droid God" question goes:
Nobody in the Star Wars universe is speaking English. Their universal language is called Basic, and all of the dialogue in the books/movies/shows/comics is technically using an English translation of Basic. As such, the droids aren't actually saying "Oh my god." They are (probably) saying some exclamation in Basic that has effectively the same meaning/usage.
Also, of course Vader slept at meetings. "hey boss you awake?" *force-choke intensifies*
It’s be like falling asleep while developing film.
Followed Alex and Mollie for years. Love their breakdowns. Two lovely human beings talking with great expertise and surprising humility about something that brings me joy :)
Absolutely love the Damon’s such genuinely nice people and absolutely knowledgeable SW fans ❤️
I love how a lot of this was just "Well this falls within Legends so it's TECHNICALLY not cannon according to Disney but we're gonna reference it anyway because screw them."
I feel like a krayt dragon pearl would probably be the most expensive thing in the GFFA
I agree, they are one of the most expensive items in the Galaxy.
Also, kyber crystals aren’t really expensive. They’re extremely rare, but they’re not good for anything in the civilian sector. Alex pointed out that lightsabers are expensive, but that’s because it’s a rare weapon that is impressive, functional, useful, and frankly just really badass. The crystal alone though isn’t worth much. And since no one except Force users can create a lightsaber (due to the crystal needing to be bonded with the user and activated by the Force), you can’t use it for anything at all.
Or corusca gems they are hella rare
@@thewizard-edits didn't Hondo try to steal kyber crystals in the Clone Wars?
@@labangrankvist2993 not the biggest Star Wars fan, but I presume they were worth more in the prequel area as Jedi were common
Does Cortosis not exist anymore?
These comments are so weird. They were brought on to answer questions about Star Wars and people are upset because they refer to films/characters in the Star Wars universe. You may not like Rey or the sequels but that doesn’t mean NO ONE does.
Also, the sequels ARE canon. It will keep hurting people until they accept it, since the creators and showrunners and history group won't stop making references to the sequels
Yeah. I hate the sequels but I've accepted it. They're Canon, people need to deal with that. (Poe and Finn where the best though)
Another thing that I find weird is that some people say that they arent experts or that they have no idea of what they are talking. Those people them bring up an answer to a question that is 10 times too long to be included in such a video and that dives way too deep into the lore for any casual fan to understand
It's awesome to see how much Alex and Mollie's channel has grown within the Star Wars Fandom! I remember first having subscribed to Star Wars Explained when it was formerly known as Star Wars Minute and Alex only had about 1k subs at the time. It's been a long and awesome journey loving Star Wars with you guys!!
For the vader sleeping question...
I doubt it, due to the vader suit, it tortures vader constantly, so he can’t really sleep much in general. Palpatine designed it to punish vader for his failure
Think that was more of a joke question
Not to mention he was haunted by visions that most likely would have tortured him in his sleep
You certainly can sleep while in agony. It’s one way to escape the pain.
@@ErzengelDesLichtes u ok?
@@Sam-du5oe Now I am, yes. Well, mostly, but the lingering pain that comes and goes is MUCH better.
force sensitivity being passed down through family lines isnt an isolated incident with the skywalker bloodline. ki adi mundi was allowed to have a family and had a lot of children, the jedi were allowed to continue their blood lines, they just were not allowed attachment to them
Wait didn’t the mud horn only destroy Din Jarrin’s Durasteel Armor?
I’m glad Wired got Star Wars Explained and not one of those toxic Star Wars RUclipsrs.
( ¿ ) wherever can an online 'surfer' locate fandom negativity . . . in 2023
Ok hear me out...The Office, but in the Star Wars universe! How hilarious would that be
When I was a kid watching Star Wars, I always assumed Threepio was thanking the maker of the oil bath.
Bo-Katan is definitely not in her mid 50s, she's about the same age as Ahsoka. Kate Sackoff is only 40 years old. She's probably around 45-49 years old in the Mandalorian, tops.
However, Ming-Na Wen (who plays Fennec Shand) is 57 years old, so the women in Star Wars just age really well.
The x-wing was given the name in 1977, whilst aurebesh was only created in 1995, the designer of the aurebesh obviously didn’t see a reason to change the name nearly 20 years later so that’s why we have the name “x wing”
There is the dude in Rogue One, blanking on his name. Wouldn't call him a Jedi, but he definitely seemed to follow the Force and somewhat the way of the Jedi. The Force is with me and I am one with the Force.
Chirrut Îmwe. Yeah. The Clone wars and the canon comics have reference to the fact that not all force users are Jedi or Sith. The Night sisters for example are neither. But they use the force. Îmwe is a force user that isn’t Jedi or Sith
What are the purple crystals called that Cobb Vanth gives to the jawas for boba’s armor?
Great questions! And great to see the Damons have their profile raised.
As they are canonising the old republic slowly but surely, Old republic era has a lot of lore about Ossus and Tython. (Jedi Homeworld) up to Yavin 4.
5:25 rogue one - chirrut practice the Jedi “religion” did he not even tho he didn’t force use
He certainly had enough proficiency to where he could pass off as a blind Jedi. Theirs even an edit that gives him a lightsaber and it is convincing.
He was a Guardian of the Whills. A different religious order that follows the Force.
@@FJAR1635 forgot about that plot, but yeah I guess that’s a valid reason for why Chirrut wasn’t an actual Jedi.
I'm so happy these nerds made it to WIRED
The only problem with watching the movies in release order is when young Anakin appears as a force ghost at the end of ROTJ. Every single person (first time viewers) that I've seen watch the films in release order gets to that scene and has no idea who that person is or why he's there.
That’s why you watch the original, with Sebastian Stan as the ghost!
@@thewizard-edits I think you mean Sebastian Shaw, but yes, I agree.
@@thewizard-edits good luck find that now
This has to be the biggest cross-over in history, just because I would've never thought this happening
Happy to see more Alex and Molly anywhere
9:45 I dont know if this is canon now, but at least in legends there was a direct analogue for gold in the star wars universe. It was called Aurodium and it was one of the rarest metals in the galaxy (refined aurodium anyways), a small pouch of it was worth around three billion credits.
If I’m not mistaken the armor worn by the Mandalorian when he fought The Mud horn was not beskar besides his helmet and one Pauldron
This feels like an Episode of the Q&A they have on their channel
Considering there were three big Havoc Squad units between The Old Republic and its trailers, (the one on Alderaan led by Jace Malcom, Haron Tavus’s Havoc Squad that defected to the Sith Empire, and the Havoc Squad led by the playable Trooper), I’d say Jace Malcom could probably solo Delta squad. I love the clone commandos, but the dude took on a Sith Lord in hand to hand combat, while getting zapped by force lighting, then survived a grenade to the face. Either of the other makeups of Havoc Squad would probably lose to Delta though
Yay, go Alex and Mollie!
Another expensive material would be Cortosis
10:30 I don’t think Mando had beskar yet except for his helmet.
The real reason they were called X-wing is because X-wing made appearance before the Aurebesh.
Threepio literally proclaimed to Anakin “The Maker!” in EP2: AOTC.
"Would Vader fall asleep in a meeting?" No...no, Vader would most likely murder whoever was responsible for it and walk out.
Not cannon, but you left out the knights of the old republic mandolorians weren’t allowed to remove their helmets. I believe this is where Disney found the idea.
I remember that being more of a game difficulty. Canderous didn't wear a helmet, and, while a certain Mandalore did, the helmet of Mandalore was a symbol of leadership over Mandalorians.
I don’t think the mudhorn actually destroyed any beskar. I think at that point the only part of Mando’s armor that was beskar was his helmet.
I'm surprised they didn't mention that all the text was originally in English and it was one of the special edition George Lucas changes was to add the Star Wars Language.
7:14
Dafuq?
All Star Wars products before Ahsoka literally said "you need to be Force-sensitive to be able to use it".
There would've been trillions of Force users if that hadn't been true.
What Disney did in Ahsoka is a terrible example of not caring to undestand the Universe of SW deeply enough.
Where do we ask questions?
The Damons are great fans, and even better people. Love 'em!
Why worry about cryptocurrency quotes if there is FBC13 algorithm!?
Yoooo!! The best star wars youtube channel!!!
They didn’t decorate Batuu!! I just got back
Yesss wired featuring star wars channels
Thank you
Alex and Mollie famous now
Of course Rey is ok. She fulfilled her arc at IX
Bahaha get ready for the hate comments
Well her soulmate is dead so kinda...
I do not believe the mudhorn destroyed beskar because at that time Din was wearing durasteel armor besides the helmet
Love to see Star Wars Explained elsewhere!
Aren't Kyber crystals what focus the power rather than generate it?
What’s stronger: Beskar or Vibranium?
next time show the images of the chrs theyre talking about please
Brilliant
"testing potential instead of testing passion"...
...did someone forget "there is no peace, there is only passion"? no, you don't WANT to test for passion, that's a BAD thing lol
Astral Projection goes aaaaaaaaall the way back to Dark Empire, and got brought into the EU with the West End TTRPG. I have no idea why people think it's new.
i would go if someone wanted to do it, in my opinion the best way, we all have our own order, including shows: 4,5,6,1,2,3,rogue one, the Mandolorian series, then the new trilogy... if you want to include them and the clone wars would depend on if you are a first time watcher of the content or a returning watcher wanting to watch it all again seeing it could be broken up between different things. and rogue one could go after 3 or after before 4. this is just my opinion also rebels i have not figured out a spot for yet
Rebels would take place before Rogue One. If one wants to include Rebels then I would say watch it prior to Rogue One because of references
This is super weird watching a channel I sub to, on another channel I sub to.

@Joogie83 Bro what??
Sooo, basically clueless about STAR WARS. Got it.
Theory: the battle droids creator's name is Roger
THE R0-GR or a guy named Roger? 'cause if R0-GR used the World Between Worlds to create himself and his brothers I would 100% approve!
Pretty sure when Mando fought the mudhorn, he had durasteel armor. He got the beskar after.
I was gonna say that same thing.
You are a real Star Wars expert.
Correct
Yup, except for the helmet, that was always Beskar
The real MVPs are in the comments it seems 😂 And are we not including Sabine Wren's Arc apulse Generator as an anti-beskar weapon?
"Haha, nerds," I think to myself as I am just as deeply in tune with Tolkien's Middle Earth as these guys are with Star Wars.
You have no idea.... just watch some Movie Trivia Schmoedown with Alex Damon.....
@Roman Wagner no teh Leurd of teh riengs
Me loving and being at least higher than averagely educated in them both
He got one thing wrong. The mud horn destroyed durasteel armor, not baskar
The helmet and shoulders were beskar
@@CarbonTactics And they were not destroyed.
His right Pauldron and helm were made of Beskar, every other piece of armor was durasteel
And they forgot to mention that Sabine made a weapon that destroys beskar
Or it may have been a very thin layer of beskar. He did say they "may need to start over." I assumed it was durasteel, but that one line makes me wonder.
So cool to se these guys on such a big channel!

You know you're a real fanboy when you can make a ethics-based sentence that includes "testing his midi-chlorians" without a hint of shame.
this is how you can know they are truly enlighten in the force
Being a non-force sensitive child of a Jedi reminds me of the early-2000s movie sky high where they showed the powerless children of super hero’s and how sucky their lives are 😂
I forgot that movie was a thing 😂
Yeah but one of them had powers, he just hadn’t gotten them yet. And the other one was lying about it the whole time. LOL Their lives did suck though because they were assigned as side kicks. Haha
I have to see that movie again

STAR WARS EXPLAINED MADE IT ON TO WIRED WOAHHHHHH
Let’s gooo! So happy for Molie and Alex!
They have a kid out pops Biggs
For anyone wondering, in Star Trek TNG, it’s revealed that an ancient race seeded the galaxy to create races similar to themselves, which is the explanation for why almost every alien race is humanoid. I believe this is the parallel evolution bit that they mentioned early on
I’m so happy to see Star Wars Explained on here.
Can’t believe Alex and Mollie made it to wired!
When Mando fought the Mudhorn, the majority of his armor was actually made of durasteel not baskar.
@Max McFarland and his helmet.
Not sure Vader could actually go to sleep outside of his meditation chamber. You know given the constant excruciating pain he is in.
I could imagine him passing out in the bacta tank in his castle while discussing something with a royal guard. Given that is the one place he’s not in any pain.
Yeah I was going to say the same thing, it’s a funny concept to think about Vader falling asleep, but he was unfortunately always in pain and discomfort when outside his resting areas.
On the movie order, my kids liked the order I presented them: 4, 5, 1, 2, 3, 6, 7, 8, 9 - with a flash back on Anakin (1,2,3) just after the father reveal, and keeping the climax ending of 6 at the end of the first two trilogies. My 2 cents.
My preferred order is 1, 2, 4, 5, 3, 6
I so thought RUclips glitched and gave me one of SWE's Q&A videos but labeled it as WIRED instead, but a very pleasant surprise to see some of my favorite RUclipsrs on this channel!
In The Sims 4: Journey to Batuu, there is Winterfest that can happen there. But I don’t think it snows or anything.
The closest I've seen beskar to getting destroyed is Din's beskar spear getting red hot while fighting Moff Gideon with the darksaber
I think if Vader was in a meeting that should have been an email, he'd spend the whole time choking people.
Nah the mud horn didn’t hurt the beskar all he had was a beskar helmet.
Exactly. The armor Djin was wearing was probably durasteel or plasteel, especially how it crumpled and the coloration was different. The way Djin has his beskar matching as a set later implies the prior armor was certainly not a full set of beskar.
X WING QUESTION @15:30 ... your welcome.

Love me some Star Wars but def can’t keep up with all the details like these guys! 😭
That's why Alex is the Star Wars schmoedown champion!
Yes, that colossal Star Destroyer is impressive, but I think I may truly love you two for having The Ark of the Covenant as the centerpiece
As for the "can there be non force sensitive Jedi" I believe Chirrut fits that very descriptively
"Hey, Vader! Are you awake?"
"I find your lack of faith in me disturbing"

Mando only had a Beskar helmet when he fought the Mudhorn.
And a beskar pauldron that he has made in the first episode
Do we 100% know that?
Oh what at first I thought "what a weird video title for a Star Wars Explained video" before noticing it's on wired lol
Re: Does Obi-wan know about Padme/Anakin: In the novelization of Revenge of the Sith, there was a scene that may have been in the original script where prior to leaving to hunt Grievous, Obi-wan tells Padme everything that's happening with Anakin and says he's telling her this because he knows they're lovers and Anakin will need her emotional support.
Pretty sure Din only had a beskar helmet when he fought the mud horn. The rest of his armor was just made to look like Mandalorian armor but must have been made out of other material since beskar is so scarce.
I don’t really consider the Jedi a religion because all of the things they do and use like the force actually exist there while we have no proof god actually exist.
And the force is in every living thing
So yeah I agree with him that everyone has the force in them
Wait! What is the Easter egg in rogue one for last jedi?
Jyn finds a file about hyperspace tracking
He wasn't wearing pure besker when the mud horn attacked him
There’s a theory that I agree with that everything except for the helmet was durasteel due to a lack of beskar for making beskar’gam out of.
