    Nice update. This is the type of tundra content I like to see.

    I bought my 19’ Tundra 1794 brand new, I originally wanted a PRO but there was a dealer “markup” and no incentives at the time. The 1794 offered 0% for 5 years.
    Almost immediately after, I installed the TRD dual exhaust and rear sway bar. Also I had a remote start installed. So far it’s been awesome!. I love it!.. I’m keeping it till the wheels fall off!… currently at about 36K mi. With proper maintenance, I honestly believe this truck could outlive me! 🥰👍

    You’re doing it right, very conservative mods, get the electric foldable tow mirrors, anything you want to do to the truck and you can afford it, just go for it, life is too short so get what makes you happy now.

      I agree. Really mot a question of afford, mostly a fuctionality issue in my garage bay.

    Did you notice an appreciable difference when you added the airbags? I just bought a Grand Design Imagine that is about the same exact weight as the Lance trailer you had previously. The one thing I noticed when I hauled it home was the amount of "bounce" in the rear end. I'd like a bit more stability. I have a '17 SR5 Crewmax 4x4, and absolutely love the way it tows. Just want a little more firmness in the rear end.

    • @kedrevs4037
      @kedrevs4037  Год назад

      Yes, the airbags made a huge improvement in the amount of bounce.

      Check out "roadmaster" helped springs. I went that route over air bags and couldn't be happier. They have standard and HD options. I went with standard since my trailer is 3500lbs. The best part is that they don't need maintenance, barely change the ride unloaded, and completely get rid of axle hop and reduce the side to side shake trucks normally have over speed bumps etc

    Maybe get a reflective cover for the windshield and side windows to protect the interior from heat and sunlight.

    On the subject of a supercharger - do you find yourself wanting more power often given the amount of towing you do? Or towing at high elevation?

      As someone who has towed a 21 foot trailer through all the big mountain ranges in BC, I can tell you that the stock 5.7 was never lacking. I'd love a supercharger but the mileage already sucks - having worse mileage and premium gas prices is too much for me

    do you think the alpine would be able to read car info from a 2012 tundra? Or can it only read that info on newer models?

    Since you have that many trouble free Toyota miles I wouldn't go Ford. Id stick with that truck or buy another low mileage Tundra of the same generation. Although the new Tundra's are really nice! I bet they've got most of the bugs worked out by now and they will continue Toyotas legendary reliability. You'll get 3 recalls in the lifetime of that tundra. With a ford you'll get 3 a year

      Right now, if I had to replace it would be the same truck with lower miles.

    Way better than the 2022 tundra… the 22 is a gimmick it’s like a car truck … do you think tundra will ever offer a v8 on their pickup platform again?

    • @kedrevs4037
      @kedrevs4037  Год назад

      I really hope they do. My real hope is Toyota brings a hybridized Diesel 6er into their half tons here in the US at somepoint. A man has to have a dream.

      @@kedrevs4037 I like your videos, a lot of the content on the new 2022 comes from fanboys and they just want the latest thing…I don’t think you can go wrong with your generation truck. I feel like you would have bought the new gen if it was in fact an improvement over the outgoing truck, but like you say there are so many shortfalls with it. When making a purchase of this scale it’s good to take bias out of the equation and tell it straight, much appreciated
