This is exactly what I needed when I needed it. I went home for for lunch, fixed a sandwich and a little tomato and cucumber salad, and watched your video today. It helped me to reset after a tough morning at work. Thank you for sharing your work and your passion, and keep on keeping on. #goanddo #dothework
My husband, daughter and I were in this same spot in August. Mama moose in the pond as well as young moose. Mama stared for a long time at the left hand corner where the forest meets the pond…and then the mama bear stepped out from the forest with at least two baby bears following her. It was the most magical and awesome experience ❤️. Thank you for sharing your hour.
Oh man. I’m hiding in my house here in Oregon in 102 heat with smoke in the air and no rain for 2 months. So yeah, you win. Thanks for torturing me with this! 😀
Thank you Steve for this video just brightened my day more than you will ever know. I love my Moose they are my favourite animal and could just spend hours on top of hours making photos of them and just watching them. It has not been a very good week mentally but as soon as I turned this video on my happiness overloaded my depression for 7 minutes of true joy. Thank You Steve and enjoy the days doing what makes you happy.
thanks for sharing. These are the kind of days I treasure the most. No specific agenda, no target species, no pressure, just sitting by a pond or walking through the woods taking photos of all the beautiful things that surround us every day.
Love it Steve wish i was there taking photos with you one day i will my husband loves fly fishing love the great photos and videos of the dragonfly’s awesome so colorful 😊 god bless you and Stephanie
A couple of years ago I emailed you about meeting for coffee since I was in the area. We didn't meet up, but the night before I emailed you, I spent 30 minutes with my 25 year old daughter at that very lake, on those very rocks, watching a moose graze. Best memory of that trip for both of us. And probably the highlight of all our trips.
Every video I think, well he got all this gorgeous video why does he need photos? Then your photos blow me away! There is something about a photo that even great video can't compare to. Thanks for the content keep it up!
We just got back from the tetons a couple days ago, and the wildlife experience was way different this year than last year. Last year everywhere we turned we found tons of wildlife, this year I don't know if the smoke is impacting the animals but they were hard to find. Surprisingly our best luck was up along the trail towards surprise lake, which we figured with all the human traffic that would scare off the animals but we saw lots of bear and the largest stag I've ever seen!
We were there between 8/8 and 8/10. First timers. Mesmerized by the beauty of the Tetons. Hoping to see 399 and her cubs. Only caught a glimpse of a young black bear and an elk in the woods on our way to the campground. It’s said there were bear activities between Tetons and Yellow Stone area.
What a great way to spend a morning. This may sound a bit odd, but I was super-impressed with the dragonfly images. We have plenty of them down here on the gulf-coast but I find it very difficult to lock focus on them in flight. Thanks for sharing these moments.
My two moose experience have been 1) 1hr+ for the most part was facing the other direction, pooped and went behind trees (only proof of seeing it type shots, nothing special) 2) spotted what didn't look like the brush around it and watched through the lens and saw the antlers move.. waited 1hr plus for him to get up in the cold/snow.. hands were so cold almost couldn't take the pics.. but did get some and even another slightly smaller bull trailed in behind him as they went off back up the mountain.. :) BTW, love the intro!
Can’t believe you can these at any random hour long visit. Even with extensive experience at the pond, it must have taken many visits. The processed photos were lovely. Thanks.
Well, that was relaxing. I wish I was there. I go to my local pond not far from my house but there are no moose for sure. Only Egrets, Dragonfly, and birds. Geese in the Fall. Nice one Steve.
Wonderful images they don’t seem spooked by your photography.. If a bear came do you carry bear spray ? I know you want pictures but the could object. Are there particular times of day you anticipate the moose or bears deer etc at these locations - great job. I imagine in January there less out to photograph. I look for to see what turns up this winter.
Loved it! THank you. I'm looking forward to my trip back out to the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem in Sept 2022. PS. I love moose and have my own experience when a mama moose and her two calves suddenly appearing out of the willows along a cold water trib of the Snake River. Cool.....
Steve, thank you for reminding me to stop. Sit. Look. And give thanks.
I love how the moose are just chilling and living their best lives. 🙂
Superb, espessially that Dragonfly Shots 👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👌🤣

Great place for moose. They can stay cool in the water and they have all that available food to eat.
❤️❤️❤️

You had the Bob Ross zen going on when speaking
Amazing moose action Steve!
Can’t believe you can these at any random hour long visit. Even with extensive experience at the pond, it must have taken many visits. The processed photos were lovely. Thanks.
Believe it or not, this was only my second visit to that pond in the last four years...

That was great! You are lucky to have this in your backyard. Too be honest, the whole vid without any speaking would have just fantastic.
