This is an unused track I found in the standalone PS1 demo of Ms. Pac-Man Maze Madness (not the one included with Euro Demo 108). What's interesting is that arcade Pac-Man motifs don't seem to be used in Maze Madness's soundtrack, but they are present in this unused track. It's also encoded at 11972hz like Pac-Man World's music is whereas Maze Madness's music is encoded at 22050hz in the PS1 version. The only other track in the demo's files that's also encoded at 11972hz is King Galaxian from Pac-Man World, which I assume was used as placeholder music during Maze Madness's development. This track can be found in three separate .apdcm files, and each of them also contain sound effects from Pac-Man World such as the butt bounce and rev roll. The demo also has many leftover assets from Pac-Man World and even Pac-Man Ghost Zone. With all of that in mind, I wonder if this may actually be an unused track from Pac-Man World that was reused as placeholder music in Maze Madness. But that's just a theory.
I ripped this track using vervalkon's PACTOOL (with a very slight modification) and Nicknine's Pac-Man World TXTP Maker. It's ripped at its intended production rate.

I can’t even imagine what the N64 version of this song would’ve sounded like.
Man, just now, I’m finding out that this track is originally from Pac Man 3D, but definitely considered unused, because I swore I almost heard something like this before, like from Pac-Man Ghost Zone, but probably not…
No it definitely feels Ghost Zone
I gotta say, it does have some grave danger vibes to it. Which is actually a pretty neat thing they added there, cause it’s also a level mizz is kept captured in as well!
I really don’t know exactly when they would’ve used this music in the demo version of Ms. Pac-Man Maze Madness.
I like how this incorporates elements of both Pac-Man and Ms Pac-Man in it
Strangely enough this is giving me grave danger vibes probably due to how it sounds but I still like how this sounds also I just received Pac-Man world re pac today and wow I have to say it's absolutely faithful to the oringal and I love It also I like how they used the soundtrack from the oringal playstation version of the game rather then recreating from scratch or Making an entirely new soundtrack
Considering there are other early PMW assets in that demo disc like the Pac-Man 3D logo, and considering the PMW soundtrack's heavy use of classic Pac-Man motiefs, this could possibly be a cut song from Pac-Man World.
I was thinking the same thing!
@@Pac-Modder so was I since 2 days ago.
I genuinely don’t know what this could’ve been for, but if I had to guess maybe something from Ghost Zone, either way I’m disappointed we’ll never know
Vaguely fits in with World 3's music, kind of like the puzzle theme for Erwin's Fortress using the start-up theme in some parts
Finally someone else noticed
Imagine this music being the introduction of gobblin and being the actual Pac-Man under the spell of the witch
That could explain the motifs
Well the original plot DID involve Ms. Pac saving the man himself…..
Hmm... game over music???? Maybe
It does sound very fitting for a game over screen.
This is so cool! I always did say Maze Madness had some menacing music vibes!
