  • This is my overview and review of the new Flight Club Proton Skeletonized Racing Frame. In this video I discuss this frames technical and physical specifications, what innovations it incorporates that make it unique and attractive for racers nowadays, and I tear it down from built up status to show it's ease of build and features.

Daniel Hubert - Thanks man, stay tuned for the build and maiden flight video that should be out within the next two weeks, depending on weather of course.

Think I'm building one of these in a few days. Wish your build video was gonna be sooner! :) FlightClub is local to me. Makes it easy to support your local scene when they design stuff like this and the Tokio X!

in4md FPV - Thanks for watching, the part 2 video should be out in a week or two, but the weather here lately is conspiring against me.

Not sure how innovative this is. There's lots of lighter race frames with 2 screws for arms that doesn't affect the stack. Avant devel is 25g lighter for one. Many people are telling me its top plates and standoffs being broken, not arms on the newer frames. Like the gopro system tho. Very nice frame however. Looks top quality and they support their frames very well. Nice review as always.

Coppertop FPV - I agree that there are lighter frames on the market, but I think they are trying to strike a balance between durability, weight, and modularity. The innovative idea I was referring to is the GoPro mount and aluminum Nucleus base plate, with it's built in flight controller butter stack mounts and tapped bolt holes to eliminate excess hardware.
