  • Here is my review of the most cursed and problematic frame I have ever built and flown, which is why there is no dvr footage available. In this video I discuss how I built this particular frame and it's build components, and the major flaws this frame has which make it pretty much unusable for every day flights, along with a headache to work on and replace parts at home and in the field.
Here is a list of the build components and links on where to purchase them:

I just built an iflight sx5. I was looking at the beetle, but it didnt look like a good fit for me. Definately a neat looking frame. I have an iflight x-lite coming for a future build. Thanks for the review!

Ninja Sauce - It's really a nice looking frame, but that's about it when it comes to this build. I'm not saying that IFlight is a bad company, or that I'm judging or basing my opinion of them from this frame, but I don't recommend it to anyone for a solid foundation on a build.

Very good to know. I see that you are running inverted prop direction. Im trying it for the rirst time right now. Still troubleshooting the build, but I should have a build video soon.

My build flies amazing.... But it cant handle my 4s lipo batteries. But im gonna try a different battery company with a lower C rating.
I have a theory about the CNHL 100c batteries. I think they are very inconsistent and have unpredictable crazy voltage spikes. So Im not using them on this build.
This thing is pretty darn fast on 3s. And I had a lot of fun. If anybody can recommend a decent battery that wont cook my setup, let me know, thanks.

Too bad the designers were incompetent, because this is the best LOOKING quad I've ever seen. Probably all artistic people working on it but no engineers that actually work with these things.

The prototypes are always problematic,I’m sure improvements will follow,or nobody will buy it.But it looks promising.

H!RO FPV - It is a very nice looking airframe, unfortunately it's weak point and parts is it's arms, and once their broken and you have to work on the quad it's a headache to deal with.

that really sucks, Ive had some issues with some of my builds as well. I do however have a Iflight IX5 frame I'm not going to use really nice carbon and really good frame I'll donate it to the cause to get that one back in the Air!!

Mark Thompson - Thanks I appreciate it man, but keep your frames as you could do better with them than I.... This review isn't a review on IFlight as a whole, or a make it or break it for myself in terms of their quality... It's just my distaste and discontent for this frame and it's design specifics in general.

I get that! That's why I am offering this frame to you so maybe it will take the bad taste out LOL

Mark Thompson - Lol thanks man, but I've got the slightly bigger IFlight XL7 sitting on my bench waiting for a review and build.

Sorry about the build... Great effort :)

Drone Mesh - Thanks brother, they have much better frame options available such as the X5 and Dragons Teeth series, the FPV gods did not bless or smile upon this build at all.

Sorry man. I just bought the same frame. Kinda regretting it now.

eye FPV - It wouldn't be a bad frame if they just fixed the 2 major problems, which is to widen the arms a few more mm where they attach to the frame, and cut out a usb port hole.... Everything else is liveable beyond that.

    Fan no correct reverse

    • @steelrainfpv3383
      @steelrainfpv3383  6 лет назад

Georgiy Fomin - You are correct about that, but I have it setup that way in Betaflight to run reverse prop direction.

SteelRainFPV This is not the correct direction of rotation for transmitting a quadrocopter. Grasping the air, but not throwing

Sorry, manufacturer. Probably should have been more clear.
