Unfortunately, this was one of those rare flights where the plane was obscured by the terminal/jet bridge at both ends of the flight so I was unable to show the plane from the terminals. But you all know what an American 737 looks like haha. Enjoy!
It's the nature of the beast as they say haha. When you fly commercially, so can everyone else haha. I do what I can to minimize the unwanted sounds, but there's only so much I can do while preserving the true audio. I always say, I can control my seat, I can't control my seat mates haha. Thanks for watching my friend!
It definitely is cool to see the mechanical workings of the wings. That said, I believe you're referring to he flaps. The ailerons are the small control surfaces on the ends of the wings. Right before the wing lifts upwards into the winglet. They control the roll of the aircraft and don't really move much. The flaps, are the large surfaces in the middle of the wing and right at the base of the wing, that extend and retract to increase lift at low speeds. Anyway, thanks for watching my friend! I'm glad you enjoyed it!
I'll admit, it's not typically my first choice, as I try to get a good mix between wing and scenery, but in this case, I missed my original connection due to a mechanical issue on my previous flight, and this was the only window seat open haha. So, I'm glad it worked out for you and the others who enjoy it when I sit over the wing. It is the best place to hear all the mechanical sounds! Thanks for watching my friend!
I’m sure you have already thought of this, but I know a couple of airline bloggers that always request either a business class seat (so they can be in the front of the aircraft), or they will purposely request the rear of the plane (when traveling in economy), so they don’t have that darn wing taking up a third of the screen in the video. Just saying…
I don't purposely sit over the wing just to make people angry or rob people of a view 😂. I always select seats in front of or behind the wing. I would never book a seat like this by choice, but sometimes you don't get a choice. If you see a video like this, where I'm over the wing, something happened on that trip to cause a problem. Weather, cancelation, diversion, a delay that caused me to misconnect, etc. When that happens and you miss a flight you get rebooked on another flight last minute, and there is never any good options left for windows at that point. Often times the only thing left is exit rows because no one wants to pay for them. Sometimes things happen and you get a cruddy seat. It sucks, but I spend way to much on this channel to not film a flight. So if I have a window, no matter how cruddy the position is, I make do the best I can so I'm not wasting the flight. 98% of my videos are filmed from in front of, or behind the wing. I can't afford to fly business all the time, and playing upgrade roulette and losing the good seat I already had in economy isn't worth it either. One automated upgrade and you get stuck in an aisle seat in business with no windows open and by the time you can get it undone, your previous seat has been taken by someone else. So, yes I'm fully aware that the seat and window position on this flight and some others on my channel suck, but they are all from trips where things happened out of my control and that's what I was left with.
Another good one sir! It's getting harder and harder to get the AA 738's without that hideous logo on the winglet, like a child stuck it on. Fortunately it hasn't shown up in one of your videos yet. 😂
Oh don’t get me started on those winglet stickers haha. I’m all for winglet designs, but the American one with those horrible off center logos are, as you said, hideous haha. They’re just so horribly placed, they look like no thought at all went into them. Anyway, I’m glad we’re on the same page 😂. Thanks for watching my friend!
It has been well taken care of, that's for sure. The old interior paneling gave away it's age, but otherwise I wouldn't have realized. Thanks for watching!
It takes awhile for me to get things edited, uploaded, and into the scheudled. Hopefully I'll have that one ready and in the schedule sometime next month. The chances I get it uploaded and RUclips finishes processing it before the end of this month is pretty low.
I do not. At least not anymore. When it first came out, I played it for a short time because of all the hype around it, but deleted it a long time ago.
I'll admit, I generally prefer the A320 series over the 737 as well. I typically find them to be more comfortable and passenger friendly than 737's. But, as an aviation enthusiast, I'll fly anything I can... Even if it's a CRJ-200 haha. Thanks for watching my friend!
A lot. I do everything on this channel by myself for everyone's benefit. Generally I try to not discuss exactly how much I spend every year, but it's substantial. I pay for everything you see on here out of my own pocket. So, I really appreciate everyone who takes the time to watch, and interact with the videos by liking and commenting. It helps the videos be seen by more people, which in turn, helps me get more revenue from the ads. And that goes a long way in helping ensure I can continue to upload new videos.
Always a real treat for me when I accompany you on your excursions into and out of South Florida. Thanks for this and all that you do, my friend, it's appreciated!
You'll be happy to hear that I'll be in and around Florida at lot as the year draws to a close. Both of my last two "major" trips for the year will either have some days in/out of Florida, or even some intrastate flights. I'll also be using Florida as a base of operations, if you will, for a big trip in November to a country south of Florida 😏.
The landing was in Tampa. The city pairs are listed in full in the description. With only 100 characters available in titles, I don’t have room to spell them out there. Thanks for watching!
Devices have not been required to be turned off during takeoff and landing now for nearly a decade. The rule stating the all electronics need to be powered off during takeoff and landing was rescinded in 2016. At least this is the case in the US where the FAA and US operated airlines are concerned. The current rule in place by the FAA and adopted by all US airlines is. Small, handheld devices, weighing less than 2 pounds, may be used during all phases of flight assuming it can be placed in non-transmittal or airplane mode.
@@drewgumbs6125 all is airlines allow filming assuming you don’t film without their consent or other passengers. Of course, all commercial airports in the US, with the exception of Branson Missouri, are publicly owned. So filming at airports, even other people at airports, is 100% legal.

I do love to see the plane
Love your Florida flight videos!!!!
It looks like a plane to me
Love watching your videos ❤️❤️❤️
No I’ve never seen one before in my life and I’ve lived in DFW for two years now 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Great as always. I see our old friend back, 1:27 the notch in the flap.
Another beautiful flight and video. You can never seem to escape a flight without a screaming or crying child though...haha

Glad you enjoyed it my friend!
Awesome video sir thank you!!! Keep up the great work!!!
I'm glad you enjoyed this one my friend. As always, I appreciate you taking the time to watch!
I always love the Florida flights, especially Tampa. Makes me feel homesick.
I'm glad you enjoy them my friend. I've got a lot more TPA coming up at the end of the year.
It's awesome to watch the ailerons be retracted and deployed.

Thank you for that description. It really helps me "feel" or visualize what the wings look like with all those parts. @@sla31
Great video. Didn't know Lufthansa flies to Tampa.
I did know that, yes.
Instant like. Thanks again for your stellar uploads.
It's always my pleasure my friend! As always, thanks for taking the time to watch!
14:40 The sound is like the sound of A320
Love the high quality videos ❤
I'm glad you enjoy them my friend!
I went on a Ryanair Plane on the 24th May 2022!
The rain 🌨🌨 in Spain falls mainly on the plain ‼️Fortunately for us we were able to arrive before before that took place. ☔>>>❤
Что сказать? Просто КРАСОТА!!!))) What to say? Simply BEAUTY!!!)))

0:20 every time I touch down in Miami I go to La Carreta and get a Cortadito and empanadas.. Then Head to Miami Beach 🏝️
That's a solid plan, for sure.
Runways used: takeoff at KMIA runway 8R, landing at KTPA 19L

i forget how big florida is that it still takes an hour by flight to get from the bottom of the state to the top.
Yeah, and there's a lot of demand for intrastate flights in Florida. Thanks for watching my friend!

Geez MIA to TPA and they used 10k feet on the roll.
It was likely a de-rated takeoff given how much runway was used. Thanks for watching my friend!
Great video! but i prefer MD-80 over B737 or A-320s.
Well, to be honest, I do too, but you can’t really fly those anymore so 🤷🏻♂️. Thanks for watching my friend!
