If I remember correctly regular Nathan had five Diesel cylinders in unusual 2 vs 3 boxer configuration while Nathan TX had eleven cylinders in even more bizarre dual-engine 5-Diesel and 6-Otto configuration spinning a single crankshaft. Potentially way more power and redundancy as well, but very complex to use and nightmare to maintain.
