Love the quick overview and then moving forward getting down to the specifics. You’ve got tutorials on every lift so this is very comprehensive from top to bottom
Great video, informative as always, looking forward to the next one. Thanks Bryce. Dillon, have you considered making behind-the-scenes content, tutorials, or even paid courses? I’m really interested in videography and editing, and your work is undeniably impressive. I’d be very keen to see something like that.
How does protein consumption work if one is significantly obese (~160kg) and looking to lose weight whilst powerlifting? 280-260g protein (using 0.8) seems kinda excessive and hard to achieve so I've been using 200 based on the alternative targets I heard about of "Your height in CM in grams of protein" (186), "estimate your body fat, work out your lean body mass, and do 0.8-1g/lb based on that" (140-180) and "Take your goal bodyweight and use 0.8-1g/lb based on that" (176-220) Also thanks for CBB 16 week program. took my total from 460 to 530 in my first time using it (having already done gczlp and candito). Will the Path of Powerlifting code on the app be valid ~January? I'm finishing my second run of CBB 16 week and testing maxes just before Christmas, then taking a 10-12 days off as a deload for xmas+my holiday.
Yeah if you're significantly obese (we're talking 40% body fat or higher) then you don't need that much protein. 200g seems about right for you, I think the best recommendation is to use goal bodyweight if you're actively cutting or otherwise roughly estimate lean body mass, and round up.
Eric Helms had rule of thumb for this, to use your height in cm to calculate your protein intake. (Since it is difficult to know your lean body mass.) For example, if you are 180cm tall, then start off with around 180 grams of protein a day. See how you feel with that and adjust accordingly.
That's absolutely something we will cover! And we will also help make sure if you do find a handler who's maybe newer and less comfortable, then we will make sure you and they have the tools you need to be successful!
idk i just started all most 3 months ago and i have progressed and know what to do but my deadlift is little weird like when start to lift my back isnt fully straight for some reason or it dosent have to be straight but when i lift the weight up my back corrects it self idk.
I'll tell my kids where I was when PoP 1 dropped
Production quality is insane like always. But even slightly better than usual.

What you're doing with your protein sounds pretty spot on. The code will still be available!
Fuck yeah

Can you let us know if we need a handler before signing up for a meet also?
That's absolutely something we will cover! And we will also help make sure if you do find a handler who's maybe newer and less comfortable, then we will make sure you and they have the tools you need to be successful!

Wow all these strength athletes in Canada between powerlifters and strongman competitors. What are they putting in the maple syrup up there lol
what flat-soled minimal shoes would you (or anyone) recommend? Would like to take advantage of some cyber monday deals
Avancus are really good if you want something flat and grippy.
