    ABOUT DANNY
    -----------------------
Thanks for stopping by. I created this website as a resource just for you to support you on your golfing journey as I know how tricky learning this game can be…to say the least!
I personally found learning the game too long and difficult in the early days. I read all the books, watched all the videos but my game was not improving. Then after studying various forms of neuro science, motor learning, psychology and personal development in less than two years I went from struggling golfer to the final stage of the Open Championship.
On RUclips and my personal website (www.dannymaude.com) I will bring you the most up to date training, training that is getting tangible results for my clients right now. I don’t know where you are in your golfing journey, you could be just starting out or maybe your body isn’t as flexible as it once was or you’ve got ambitions to slash your handicap. Wherever you are I’ve created a place here you can learn, share your ideas, ask questions and get all the support you need to enjoy this great game.
Be prepared though. If its a quick fix you are after Im not your man. Here I will give you step-by-step advice that you can take straight to the practice ground and apply to the course but it will require you to get stuck in, screw up…a lot, practice some more and then watch those scores tumble
I’ve had the pleasure of coaching thousands of students all around the world and if you are up for the challenge and are ready to get in the game…LETS GO TO WORK!

Danny, I’ve been attempting to break a 100 my entire golf life!Yesterday I did, after the lesson I watched of your dad, I was able to make adjustments that improved my game! I’ve paid $100s of dollars for lessons and did not understand the adjustments that the trainer had me make. When I played yesterday and watched my ball direction, I was able to adjust my stance and correct the ball direction! At age 69, it proves you can always improve! On the front 9 holes I had 5 pars, never, never did that before. I definitely felt more in control than I’ve ever experienced! Thank you Danny!!

Danny’s videos makes it so clear and easy to implement. I’m the same as you Leo: aiming to break 100 at age 64. Used some of his techniques on my last round last summer and shot an incredible (for me) 44 on the back 9. Waiting for the snow to stop here before going to the range and trying out his lessons on the circle.
Happy golfing to you from Canada.

Now I’m not sure if my computer will hold all the teaching videos I have of your lessons. I hope the future rewards you for what you richly deserve for enlightening us amateurs and to help us enjoy and understand the game (like nobody else can) for the rest of our lives. Cheers, and thank your dad for his great participation, it really helps!

Hello Danny, It is three o'clock in the morning here in Indiana. You are the best golf pro @ teaching in the U.K. in my opinion because you teach instead of yell. I have 17 acres @ home & I hit golf balls 20 minutes ago But I still can't hit a draw but you made this video today just for me. I am going to hit some balls when I wake up and I put it in my head this video and I am GOING to hit some draws. I really like how you teach & you made me a better golfer this year. I am 64 & my handi went from 19 to 13 this year & my lowest score was an 81. I am rambling but after todays lesson I am going to get into the seventies this year. Thanks Danny, you are the best. much respect from across the water.

I never comment on things but just have to this time, this has literally changed my whole understanding of the golf swing, your explanation and the graphic of the blue circle on this video and the one with your dad is amazing, I am a fairly new golfer (2-3yrs 18hcap) and been struggling with a slice, I have been "learning" to drop or shallow the club and come more from the inside, but seeing this has just connected all the dots for me... I have been setting up my hips and shoulders to the left then working against my body trying to get the club back inside, I just needed to square my body at set up 🤯 looks so simple watching it like this..
Iv never really understood what I was been told before, thank you so much for the amazing video 🙌

I watched this video and then went straight to the practise ground and I was amazed! For the first time, I’ve was hitting the ball first and then the ground and it feels so good. The sound is fantastic and never have I hit the ball so far. From there I went to my local course and scored my best score, even had my first birdie! Thanks so much, you have transformed my game. I had been getting frustrated and thinking of giving up but now, I feel I’ve made a massive step forward and I know that I’m going to start loving playing golf!

In my opinion the swing circle consists of 3 parts.. The up/down (where to hit the ball, which was mentioned in an earlier video), the left/right which you talked about here, and lastly the shallow/steep-ness of the swingplane of the club. Put all 3 together and it's the perfect swing-path tutorial.

Danny as you know im following one of your programs but this is the most important part of the game, this is the mechanics of the game get this right and your well on your way in the long game, Short game well that brings its own problems, but on the tee's I see people that have a driver in their bag but are too scared to use it so they take an iron and others I see completely muck it up, that is why im following your program I feel if I can hit my driver constantly well ,then hitting clubs 7 inches shorted shouldn't pose a problem and give me loads of confidence, love this video Danny

Another gem! I been working on this from another vid of yours and it’s helped a lot, can hit draws ( just not great control over the amount of draw just yet ) but one thing I do struggle with is having the grip forward to help get the compression in the strike I am tending to close the club face at address, that in turn is making the alignment and aim drop off some. Just needs work but I will get there. One thing I have decided though is next time I’m back in the UK I am going to be sure to book a proper lesson with you well in advance. However, you are one of the best instructors on RUclips! Many of us… me come over the top because we’re trying to turn our bodies during the swing. Personally if I allow the momentum of the club to turn me I hit better shots. Throwing a ball to the right side of your screen is the feeling, as I don’t let go of the club (unlike the ball) it brings me around into a good finish.

Hi Danny, the circle has helped me address the ball. Interestingly a round I played recently I hit a ball to my right into the rough. Bear in mind I'm left handed. I immediately took note of the position I ended my swing, my hip was facing right and my swing cirlce to the left. This caused the slice in my shot along with the hip. As always, much valued lesson. Keep up the good work and stay well.

Exactly the area I have been working on - getting the arc in the right direction. Will be adding the getting the club grip at the lead thigh to help reinforce the bottom of the arc being ahead of the ball. It is amazing at how much further and easier swinging it is when you employ these drills. Have to say it is never one and done, but rather a commitment to take 5 mins and do this drill daily. In regards to video - if you don't have a friend to video you, invest in a tripod you can take to the range and shoot the video with your phone. It will make a believer in the importance of objective feedback.

Yet another brilliant lesson! I've been recommending your channel to people I know that are also just getting back to golf after a long hietus, as I am. I joined a municipal course 2 weeks ago, one of the oldest golf courses in the world, and I hit a 90, and got a birdie, on Friday. Winter greens, playing off mats and the course is like playing on concrete here in Scotland, so once I get some good wedges, (arriving on Tuesday) and March /April comes, I'm pretty confident that I'll be breaking 80. I really hope to visit you in person for a one-to-one some day, I think that would be great!

Your method in this video FINALLY made sense of the golf swing for me...and it is MY swing! Today I played my first half-round of the year and shot a 52. That doesn't sound great, but for me, that's a good score for a first time out.
I now cannot wait to continue to play and enjoy this game that I love so very much.

@@DanielMaude Danny, I have a follow-up question regarding warming up for a round. In my last three rounds, I have not gotten to a solid swing until I'm 50 strokes into the round. Its almost like magic...I hit 50, and all of a sudden I'm playing well. In those rounds I have averaged 51.5 on the front and 46 on the back.
Is this normal? If so, how can I do a better job of warming up prior to a round? Do I just need to go hit 50 range balls before teeing-off?

Hi Danny. This video has taken your effectiveness of communication to a new level. You did explain the same thing in so many words in the past, but this one nails it. Here is my question: you show how a slicer should start the correction process by exaggerating the correction of the "circle". What about someone like me who has the opposite issue. When I was taught, they made me do a little hook in the backswing to assure coming in from the inside, like a top spin forehand movement in tennis. So in the practice swing, i perform a perfect move, but when a ball is in front of me, I do this little loop backward, once I reach the top. This shortens my swing as well. So, should I displace the ball in an exaggerated way forward, so the the circly is very closed to the target line? Would that help me get rid of my loop. I cannot slice to "save my life"-would this help me slicde if I need to?

I love that you mentioned experimenting with “extremes”. If you’re a slicer, swinging the club out to in, you MUST learn how to severely manipulate your path, and face to hit a push/draw(ball starting slightly right of target, then curving left). Just the opposite…. If you’re struggling with hooking the ball, get on the range and purposely hit some pull/slices(ball starting slightly left of target, and then curving right). Here’s a hint…. For the slice, you’ll feel like you’re swinging steeper, and more down into the ball(ball position a little forward). This creates an out to in swing. To hit a hook, you’ll feel like you’re swinging flatter, like you’re sweeping the ball off the ground, or tee(ball position slightly back in your stance). Experiment with your grip, and wrist positions too. These things will teach you more about the golf swing than anything. Experiment. Too many people are chasing that perfectly “neutral” ball flight, without ever understanding how to get there.
