- There is more to St Leonards on Sea than the Promenade. There is much to admire along the front but hidden away behind the houses is a story of a dream to build a New Town. These Virtual Walks are taken from the History Walks series of ‘Short Walks in 1066 Country’. www.1066haroldsway.co.uk
Interesting. I lived in one of the "Drying" cottages on Lavatoria (Norman Road) as a child but never knew the history. My best friend lived on Stanhope Place. I miss St Leonards & Hastings. So much charecter.
Great to see the newspaper cuttings of the cobweb and the witch doctor! Some idiots say they are figments of my imagination, but there they are in black and white!!
If I remember correctly (and I may not so happy to be corrected) my great Grandad made the boat pulpit in the church
Hi Lee, it's a real pity that the church is now closed. The boat pulpit is superb. David
love the music. I write a blog about walking but yet to get into making videos. Really good.
Thanks Julie, if you can create a PowerPoint of photographs from your walks, you can create a video, adding music from Creative Commons. Any problems, let me know. David
@@historywalks4732 Yet no credit for the composer
nice vid,,,,,, who did the music?
Hi Matthew, apologies, there should have been a music credit at the end of the film. Its from Creative Commons Free Music - Unheard Music Concepts Empty Lines and the link is freemusicarchive.org/music/Unheard_Music_Concepts/Harbour/UnheardMusicConcepts__01_Empty_Lines/
@@historywalks4732 gREAT MANY THANKS FOR THAT! Keep up the good work!
