    Hastings, Sussex.
    Pan along sea front and beach at Hastings.
    Arrival of Miss Evelyn Laye, Mr Frank Lawton, Mr Edward Everett Horton and the Palladium Crazy Gang. Shots of the gathered show business stars.
    Various shots of parade around park following the Carnival Queen. The Queen is crown by Miss Laye.
    MS of Queen on her throne, surrounded by people in court dress - even down to a jester.
    A trumpeter plays a fanfare. LS of historical scenes played out on stage. There follows a parade of England's monarchs from 1066-1837 (or at least people dressed up as them). Pan across the crowd seated in deck chairs. More historical scenes. Cut away to MS of Evelyn Laye.
    Members of the Crazy Gang pay homage to the Carnival Queen - one of them pretends to give her a passionate kiss. Members of the audience take pictures.
