  • This is a creative writing piece by Vanessa Mathews, a member of the Our Past, Our Future group. Fascinated by the connection between Turing and Hastings, Vanessa developed this part-fiction and part-fact piece and then made a digital animation to accompany it.
During November and December 2019, 12 people met at Hastings Museum and at Rock House in central Hastings to research the history of the America Ground, three streets that witnessed fascinating struggles between people and the Crown back in 1820's England.
Funded by The Space, and led by local creative media experts, the group took part in creative writing, digital animation and Wikimedia classes, and they each made at least one digital content project.
The stories can be found on RUclips, on the MSL website (www.mslprojects.co.uk/our-past...) and on the town art map, URL to follow.

A great mind destroyed by people with small minds! What he says about seeing numbers as colours, there is a very talented cellist Samara Ginsberg who sees colours when she plays! Oh to be gifted!!!
