This is the real deal! I tried a lot of other solutions but this is the one that really worked. I tried a soda blaster, a glass bead blaster, pool acid or CLR with a scraper, a paint scraper, a chisel (and that little lady who knocks on her's with a hammer) nothing worked as well. The glass bead blaster works but it's temperamental because your media has to be super dry or it clogs. And it can eat into your tile if you're not careful. Now with this 3M disk, the standard common-sense rules apply about using a heavy grit abrasive on any surface. Keep it moving, don't stop in one place. I used this on glazed tile and have no idea about other types of tile or rock. I used up two of these disks to clean 115' linear feet of pool edge in about a day. It's taxing on your drill batteries, so have a couple charged up. Thanks, Donald, for posting this.

False, if you have a dustless blasting unit, it'll work 100x better than dry. No mess either.

man I would think this would scratch the sht out of the tile. I have tried so many things and nothing has been SPOT ON....this sure looks like it works good. I hate paying for the cleaning service, I got to try this to save the 500+ every other year.

Used this exact disc! HUGE time saver and did a much better job! Thanks SO much! We tried all the other stuff and NONE of it was working. (All the videos that suggest a power washer, pumice stone, or vinegar, must not have the same hard water we have!)

I forget I had some 3m disk. I just tried it on my pool calcium build up and it worked like a champ! Thank you so so much! The pumice stone was not working at all.

I picked up the same resin disc from the garden center in Lowe's and have to say i am amazed at the results. At first I thought it was scratching my tiles but it was just the calcium that it removed. You can also go all out with it because your tiles are higher than the grout so the tool never digs into the grout at all.

Can you post a link on the type of disk and where to buy?

That's a regular purple abrasive disc right? Not the super abrasive 'paint eater' that takes paint and the siding off the house if your not careful. I just found 2 of those bad boys in my tool box, gonna give it a try. Next step would be 80 grit 3" roloc discs on my pneumatic angle die grinder. No electrical, only bubbles because the pool is still full. Thanks.

So many people are putting glass tile on the pools. Does this safely remove calcium from those tiles?

@@p8ntgame The idea with using the disc is, do it yourself and save money. Saving time is what businesses want to do, homeowners want to save money, they have time.
