How to clean salt deposits, mineral deposits, and calcium deposits OFF OF YOUR POOL!

- In this video, I am going to show you how to get rid of the scaly ugly mineral deposits, calcium deposits, and salt deposits that may be forming an ugly ring around the edge of your pool or spa!
Every pool is different, and the solution I present here works for me… It may also work for you, but there are factors that make your pool unique and that might make the solution I present less beneficial. For example, I have porcelain tiles. You may have a different kind of tile and it may require a different solution than what I have discovered and shared.

I was reaching for the skip button at the end of your spa cleaning as I figured the video was over, when at the last second you started talking about something else, which to me meant that the instructional video on the tile was just a segway, for one to look deeper inside themselves, and do some cleanings, and as u made clear, there is only One Way to be truly cleansed, and that's thru the grace and mercy of Jesus, nice one!

Thank you! I have horrible white streaks all down the front of my spa….we just had our pool snd spa redone last year. The spa leaks all around the top of the tile, causing the grout to streak the black tile. It looks horrible! Our pool builder has done nothing to try to resolve this. So today I tackled it myself! I used one of those jumbo pool Block pumice stones, CLR, snd a window scraper. But I forgot to wear gloves! My hands are suffering! I didn’t finish but the part I cleaned looks pretty good. I have some heavy build up that needs that hammer for sure! Thank you for this video. I’m going to keep working until I see it clean! The ceramic tile is black so the white streaks are really ugly. It’s a shame we were left with this. Hopefully we can soon find someone to help find out why water leaks out around the top.

Tried pumice stone, not helpful. I’ve got salt deposits looking like small stalagmites where spa water drips into the pool. What do you recommend?

Muriatic acid, take 1/10th of the time and more efficient less effort

i used this method the cost for pumice stone was 86 gazillion dollars to remove a half inch
Instead of using a Hammer, if you just pour Muretic acid on it. It’ll come off faster. I like the stone underneath the coping.
Saltwater or Chlorine pool?
I HAVE READ PUMICE STONES WILL SCRATCH ANY GLASS WATERLINE TILES AND TO STAY AWAY FROM THEM!?!

Hey Linda - man! That stinks! I'm not sure I have any other advice - I wish I did! If I come across a better solution though, I will reply to you here!
You have to change the water when you remove the calcium. PH and Alkalinity need to be balanced and PH on the lower side. Best to do in the winter months so your pool surface doesn't see as much sun. If you have calcium you have hard water and as the water evaporates and the pool refills it makes the water harder and harder till it starts leaving deposits on the tile and in some cases on the walls of the pool. I change the water each year and it has made a big difference.
You need to keep your calcium levels in range. When you have high amount of calcium, it will build scale. So you need to drain some of you water to get that calcium back in range. So test your calcium levels. Cause it will raise again.
