Thank you!!!! there were so many videos, but they had the screw on top and I finally found this. I didn’t know it was so easy. I just tried it and it took two seconds. Thank you so much!

Not many people know, but a regular drum can be unscrewed without using a spanner. Simply lock the shaft rotation, grab the sanding band by the top, squeeze, and twist in the opposite direction of rotation. The sanding band can be clamped using the same method.

Thank you so much for this video!! I was wondering if they fixed the slipping problem.

Yeah. I did not have any problem at all with the band slipping. But have to be used with official Dremel sanding bands to work optimally.

    1) Does the older version look identical to this? (I mean I have one that looks like this, can't recall how old, and it's a worthless piece of garbage, the bands just fly right off).
    2) Did they change the model number when they improve these blue click on ones or did they keep it the same to where buying them online is risky / might get an old one ?

Hi. I don't really know what if they have changed this bit over time or improved on any older versions. I know there is one called "ez407sa", which might be a little bit different. But the sanding bands on mine has started slipping a little bit aswell after using it for a while, especially when it gets a little bit colder and the plastic hardens up. But i know alot of people had a problem with the sanding bands slipping right out of the packet, mine worked for a long time before it started slipping at all.

@@rotarycrafts8760 it's really a shame to hear that.. maybe it's because the tire wears out over time? try making a round of scotch tape made for cables, the black and rubbery plastic one. it should return a few tenths

Did he edit this video? Because mine keeps slipping off. I recommend not buying this product.
