Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU for this video! I got a Dremel 4000 for Christmas, to use for drilling holes in cabochons. I’ve yet to work-up the “nerve” for trying it! I KNOW it’s silly, as I’m told it is really easy to doo it, but I have this horrible fear of failing (breaking the cabochon, breaking a diamond bit, anchoring even hurting myself…even though I have all the safety equipment!) I needed that little extra push to get me started, and I think this video did it!

Awesome, this gives me motivation to make more videos. Do you have the flex shaft 225 for the 4000, it makes drilling small stuff way easier. And it moves the motor away from the water. Diamond bits are mostly harmless, I recommend using a diamond bit with a rounded tip, it gives more surface area to grind away the material. Thanks for the comment, and tell me how it went when you've done it. :)

Yes, I got the flex shaft…all the goodies. Goggles, mask, green finger tape, etc, etc, etc. It’s just the kick in the pants I need to try ANYTHING new! I have quite a few sizes of diamond drill bits. Let me see if any are “rounded”…

Did I Miss Any Uses? If so, tell me here, and I will include it in "part 2" in the future.

Oh yeah, you missed so many things:
      - Making a hole in dry wall at night at an 45° angle,
      - doing the same at dawn with an 46° angle,
      - drilling a hole in dry wall at noon at an 44° angle...etc, pp.....
      Got the point?

I recently used my 8240 to flatten some rough filling around my shower, and also used it to cut some downpipe. Does that count?
I think of it as a brother to my swiss army knife!
