@@polygonalcube can be hard no doubt, due to unpredictable it is and how it can chain its attacks but if you're lucky, it doesn't last long. Schwarzgeist and Hyperion, on the other hand the latter especially on hard mode? Ohhhh boy, i still have to beat Hyperion on Hard and i've been playing for a year now. Those damn blue lasers.
after finishing this game dozens of times, i decided to just destroy as much parts as i can against the gorilla mech,leaving it barebones and just spared its life. youd be surprised how many subtle destructible parts every boss has in this game

The boss is from Neon Genesis Evangelion and you're fighting against Shinji Ikari in his EVA!
I remember this boss actually being easier than I felt it should at this point in the game. The section right after this was a nightmare though.
this is the only mid-boss and 1 of 3 bosses that has it's own theme (4 if you count geier as a boss)
