Thank you for the video. I have your book too and I found material in my stash to make this quilt. I laid out the different layouts and planned on making the one where the point were going in the same direction altering in the rows. I made one square ad my pattern to follow but I found it bulky in the center. So I now am back to making your same pattern. I am enjoying making it and going step by step. Thanks!
I always appreciate your clear and precise instructions and I always look to your videos for beautiful color combinations. Thank you again for another great class!
I am so happy that I found you. I love the way you speak. So very easy to hear and understand everything you say and you explain it simply. Love the color of your hair by the way.
My kind of beginner block! I was looking for an easy block to make for our bed. Between this and the app you touted recently, I'm set. Thank you very much, Laura.
This is a great idea, Laura. Thanks sew much. I’m going to use multi scrappy squares and a single light for the alternate square. Should be fun n colorful. Thanks again.
Great idea and versatility of patterns, Laura, Thanks for this tutorial. I think I would try to save some fabric by making one original square maybe out of scrap fabric, doing all the cutting sewing the seam and trimming it down, but then getting out the stitch ripper to take them apart and make two templates (say, from a cereal box). Then in the case of a block that begins at 6" , you'd only need to cut 5"x WOF strips, and lay out the 'triangle' and 'square' shapes with the angled cut sides touching before cutting out the individual shapes. I really think you could get the same number of blocks out of a smaller amount of fabric. Just a frugal idea!
The quilt is so pretty, I love the color combo. Very helpful instructions. Thanks Laura, your a great teacher. By the way I have been doing lots of binding lately, your nail file hint under the presser foot has made sewing the corners easy peasy! Truly grateful.!!!
I must have missed this hint! Any idea where I can find it? I'm trying to figure out the correlation between nail files under the presser foot and sewing corners!
Zona Wilson Hi Zona, Laura gave a helpful hint when applying binding to a quilt. When sewing the corners sometimes the machine will choke going over several layers of fabric in the corners. Putting the nail file under the presser foot makes for smooth sailing. See her tutorial for applying binding.
Love the flexibility to choose color, size and design...it’s like an oversized puzzle x3❣️. The would be relaxing to make, what quilting pattern would you do to quilt your final design? Excellent tutorial on creativity! Thanks😊
Hola Laura, qué bonitos colores!!! Esta combinación creo que es, una de las más versátiles que haz hecho. Me encantó. Te saludo desde Argentina, abrazo.
with the border, what size quilt did you end up with. Trying to figure out how much fabric for a twin size quilt...thanks. Love the versatility of this design!
Hi Laura I have been watching you for quite a few month and I really enjoy your videos and I'm getting set up to start quilting and I'm excited I would love to see your other videos I looked through your list and I couldn't find the other blocks I just see the number 11 if you can put a link down maybe somewhere I don't know maybe in this comment that would be very helpful for me. you're very informative and you go through everything I'm a newbie so I'm excited happy quilting and thanks for sharing all your knowledge
Great instructions. Do you possibly have an example of one done where each cut was not the same. Not sure of how they would look once you made your four patches. Thanks
Laura, can you give me some advise on quilt gift boxes, are they worth the membership, do you get good quality items or are you wasting your money. I lost all my quilting tools with a military move and was thinking was this a good idea to start over again. Would love some help. Thanking you for such wonderful tutorials. Mary K.
I am new to figuring out how to get the full RUclips experience and was wondering if anyone can tell me when watching Sew Very Easy, is there a way that I can get the instructions for the tutorials shown here so that I don't have to attempt to write down everything as Laura is speaking them. In other words are there any written instructions that I can get? Thanks.
Thanks for responding Laura. Your response makes perfect sense. I just thought I might be missing something. I love your videos! I just need to watch this video again, since as I cut the blocks, I couldn't figure out how they fit together...Silly me! Anyway, I will continue watching until I get it.
Very good tutorial Laura your always explain everything clearly but I really don’t like the colour choice. That burgundy is really ugly and off putting.
Just one word..Genius …🇨🇦
Fascinating block choices. Your quilt is so interesting. Thank you for the tutorial 😊👍💕
It seems so repetitious to say it, but yet again you have a winner. Tutes are always so clear and concise. Again, thank you

Très beau merci
Fantastic! Thanks!
That was awsome
So fun.
Great instructions. Do you possibly have an example of one done where each cut was not the same. Not sure of how they would look once you made your four patches. Thanks
no, as I do keep them cut on the same angle so I can sew them back together
This would be perfect for a beginner.
👍🌹❤️👵🏻
Nice idea and not complex.
love your tutorials..am a beginner quilter but have sewn for years. Can you recommend a Canadian source for fabric
I'm still a go to the shop and buy, kind of girl. If you ask on my facebook, perhaps someone will help you out:)

How big is the mat you’re laying the block options on?
4' x 3'
If you want the pattern to look like stars wouldn't you lose the points when you sew them together?
A little but you can trim them so you don't :)
And will you give us the size of the measurements of the cats?
Very good tutorial Laura your always explain everything clearly but I really don’t like the colour choice. That burgundy is really ugly and off putting.
