I’ve watched and followed for about 16 months. And I simply love your videos, methods of teaching and everything I’ve learned. Thanks so very much. Happy sewing!
I have 10 fat quarters, 3 yards of a coordinating solid, and I love doubling quilt patterns and making big quilts… I think I just found the perfect thing to do!
@Kms2814 Great idea! I have a new 10 pc. Fat quarter bundle. Adorable little boy fashion. Trucks road signs. I’m so excited to try this. Or I’ll look at the d see I’ve and divide it up, for two Great-grandsons quilts. Happy sewing!
Loved this tutorial!!!! Beautiful fabric made a very lovely quilt. Your bloopers at the end cracked me up, thank you!!!! Glad you’re not a perfect quilter!!!! Hugs. 🥰🥰
I appreciate how you describe so many ways to cut the pieces. As a new quilter I’m following patterns that cut the pieces with a lot of waste. I’m sure this is easier and more accurate, but I dislike all the waste. Thanks so much for your teaching and all the work you put in. I really enjoy ALL your videos.
This is a lovely quilt. Thank you for sharing it. This is a very good tutorial and I especially like how you like to save fabric. I don't like to waste it and always try to be careful when preparing the design pieces.
Absolutely love this. I was so stuck on a 5 fat quarter quilt project that I needed yesterday and I’m so on this pattern today. Thank you so very much for the inspiration to get it done just like this. ♥️♥️♥️
I'm expecting a new granddaughter any day now (grandchild #19) and have been trying to decide on a pattern to make her a quilt. This is it!!! Thank you so much!
Thanks Laura! This a beautiful pattern, and reminds me of the Road to Oklahoma Quilt pattern. I have some beautiful fat quarters in my stash and look forward to making this!
this is so pretty, complex in it's design and simplistic in it's execution . So amazing to see it come together. Thank you, this is definitely going on my make list to make very soon!
Loved this demo. You are very organized in putting the pieces to together. I am going to do the same quilt and attempt your organizing. Thank you so much.
If you have the Binding Tool by TQM products, you can use it for the pointy end of the rectangle shape and measure the length to cut it instead of making a template.
I just bought a five fat quarter baby print bundle and knew there had to be a pattern for a quilt out there for it.....I also know I would need additional for sashing and borders...love this and it will work great for the prints I have.....I too would love to see how you would quilt this and what fabric you would pick for the backing.....I feel the backing is as important and the top, but never gets the attention it should.
WOW I WILL HAVE TO TRY THIS WHEN I GET THE TIME CAUSE I HAVE 4 QUILTS TO FINISH FIRST.. BUT YOU HAVE QUITE A FEW THAT I HAVE PUT ON MY BUCKET LIST TO MAKE TOO... THANKS FOR DOIN ALL THAT YOU SHOW FOR US ALL... BLESSINGS & BE HOPE FILLED FRANKI
Or you could cut a strip 2.5 x 4.5 and a square 2/5" and stitch and flip 32 one way and 32 the other way! Anyway will have the same outcome and an awesome block!!!
My thoughts exactly Sasslette! 👍🏾 You could also make strip sets for the 4 patches instead of dealing with so many individually cut 2.5 squares. But love the pattern either way, excited to make it 😊
It looks like you could start with a 2.5" by 5" rectangle and snowball it with a 2.5" square. Try one with scraps to make sure it ends up the right size.
Since all the center 4-patches are the same, why not cut the 2 (butterfly and green) fat quarters into 2 1/2" strips and use the strip-set method to make the 4-patches? Seems like it would be faster to cut and faster to sew. Just a thought.
I am back to watch this for the third or fourth time. I really do want to make this, however I am not great at making templates and I have printer issues as well. So my question is can I use one of Marti Mitchel's patchwork template set, which I have several, and if so which one is the best? Thanks sew very much for the videos that keep me busy. I just finished my 2nd Hour Glass table topper and I've made several other beauties from you, Help if you can. TIA
When I print out the template sheet it doesn't print to the measurements indicated. Can someone please tell me the measurements for ALL the lines on the templates and I can recreate them?

Love it. This is the perfect spring or baby quilt.
I love the way you explain the layout consolidation. Excellent!
Loved this demo. You are very organized in putting the pieces to together. I am going to do the same quilt and attempt your organizing. Thank you so much.

So adorable. When I first looked at the design i was like no way.... but you always explain things so well. I may try to make this one. Ty!!!

I love it. Sew very pretty, a great use for our fat quarter collections. I buy them and think oh great what am I going to make!

It looks beautiful

What a great way to use up a few FQ that don't really match anything else. Thanks for sharing! 👍😀
Thank you Laura it's a beautiful pattern x
that is a very pretty quilt. love the colors. pretty big for a baby quilt though.
Thank you so much Laura, another very nice use for our pre-cut fabrics.

thank you for the template and the great instructions for this block. I will b putting all those fat quarters I have to good use now.
Lovely quilt and great tutorial! Thank you
Lovely quilt. Thank you! I love Marti Michell's corner trim tools, I have the deluxe one also. BJ
What a pretty quilt!
Love this 5 fat quarter quilt! Saving video as would make a great gift!! Thx for sharing!!! :)
beautiful, I made this and want to make more, turned out awesome
Looks really nice. Would like to see how you gonna quilt it! Great job
My first thought was to "snow ball" ( I think that's what it's called) the corners of the rectangle white but as you say, it would use more fabric.
Beautiful design. Would work in so many colour combinations. Thanks!

I'm going to cut this out tonight. Really lovely pattern. Thanks.
Beautiful
A very nice pattern.
That is just adorable - thank you
Love this tutorial, and, I plan to make one. Thank you so much❤️
Fantástico muito lindo mas em polegadas não consigo entender... mesmo assim obrigada amo teus trabalhos bjs!
Love this. Wish I could quilt. Seems too hard for me.
Hi, is this pattern in writing? I just love this pattern
How long do you make white blocks to sew on the triangles?
Beautiful!!
Gorgeous!
I love this quilt but can't I snowball the corners instead of cutting specific shape? You are an amazing teacher. Quilt on sister!

I was thinking the same thing, but then I noticed the butterflies are in different directions now in Laura's method (i.e. not directional).

What's the size
Thank you!
When I print out the template sheet it doesn't print to the measurements indicated. Can someone please tell me the measurements for ALL the lines on the templates and I can recreate them?
Could you have your paper template available? I could not download them. Thankyou
What’s the finished size?
Who makes the fabrics ? Where to order ?
Thanks. Lovely colors and design
Laura, what plastic do you use for your template?p lastic cutting boards?
How big is the quilt?
Didn't see the measurement for the length on the triangle? 2 7/8 x ?
It's an equilateral triangle...so all the sides are the same (2 7/8")
Lindaaaa🙌🏼
