I compare side by side Honda 08200-HCF2 with Aisin ATF-HCV fluid , Honda fluid it's little ticker (more viscosity) smells different and have different color. i hope not making a mistake switching to Aisin. my car only have 19 k and I always replace transmission fluid at 20 k in all my cars.
A question here, Saab 9-3 and 9-5 AW 5 speed automatic transmissions are known to accept only MINERAL based Saab/JWS 3309 AT oil, which is available as Mobil 3309 (US spec:mineral based). This is something that has been discussed over and over on Saab forums everywhere and those who are experienced Saab enthusiasts have always emphasized using only mineral based oil for Saabs. However, I've recently encountered SYNTHETIC Mobil ATF 3309 made in Japan that claims to be specifically made for Aisin AW automatic transmissions and meet JWS/Saab 3309 (along with many AW used in Volvo, Toyota, etc.). Saab manuals on AW specification date back 10 years, and I'd like Aisin to clarify whether it is okay now to use this new JWS 3309 spec SYNTHETIC oil by Mobil on Saab AW automatic transmissions. Your response would be greatly appreciated.
Can you confirm if your ATF 0T4 fluid is now synthetic,and if so will it be compatible with Toyota Transmissions that have used the mineral based Toyota T-IV fluid from new.
Does Asian automatic transmission fluid ATF 0T4 work for a Suzuki 2012 Grand Vitara it's the same as a JWS 3309 Suzuki recommend using 3309 what the JWS stands for I'm not sure or if it's the same
Have a 16' volvo with aisin 8 speed automatic. In the manual calls for ws-1 fluid. very broad term. would the aisin atf-0ws be correct? It is significantly cheaper then the stuff volvo is trying to sell me? I do my own fluid changes. Also what is correct way to fill, I know take the little plug out of the drain plug and pour till it starts coming out, you do with with vehicle running or not, warm or cold?

Not sure what Rock Auto is going to do about it honestly. I’m out 700 bucks for a used transmission. Unless you want to get your hands on it and find out why it failed.
Sounds like you changed the transmission fluid wayyy too late and would’ve failed regardless. or wasn’t changed correctly, fluid levels, or transmission was already failing prior. Give details on the car model and what mileage you or a shop changed it.
I had a dealership change it. I think it was overfilled honestly. Have no way of proving it unfortunately. Car is a 2015 Corolla LE with 84,000 miles. They did not drop the pan or service the filter like I have seen others do. I gave them a case of fluid and they used 5 quarts. For a drain and fill I’ve seen 2.5 quarts come out, not 5. Luckily I wasn’t on a freeway when it did go. Car threw no codes when it happened. I bought a used cvt and they put it in. When finances allow I’m getting rid of this car because 4500 for a new transmission that can’t be rebuilt is steep.
