If there's one game on my wall that I would dish out $$$ for a collector's edition of, it has to be Keyflower (+Farmers, +Merchants) ... not only for nice wooden hexes and player shields, but also (hopefully) for smaller iconography on the tiles themselves so that Juliet's AMAZING art isn't so obstructed! Oh and as always, amazing video Richard :D Good hand emoting!
Thanks for this nice one Richard! And FYI:@8:45 your road was placed just fine between the gold mine and the quarry, whether you flipped the gold mine or not. What was not legal was to place the gold mine in the location where the river should go :)
Hm, doesn't adding everything potentially diminish each individual strategy, and leave more to chance though? I've had games where I picked Meeple winter tile for example, but then Meeple tiles never came out. That's a risk even with just the base game with only two players. If you mix in more random tiles, you get more risk of this happening. I read somewhere that the Farmers was recommended to expand the base game for multiple players, while he Merchants was specifically designed for two players to help alleviate the risk of getting a bad draw like as like mentioned above.
TyDeL well, you've got enough winter tiles in your hand at the start of the game (with the expansion, you draw more than normal) that there's always going to be spring summery and fall tiles that match what you need, we've found :)
sorry to bother you, I want to ask a quesition about the rules: when you make an offer for a tile and that offer is surpassed you can take your offer and put it elswere for production, change, or to do another offer. now can you put your offer on the tile of your village for production or you have to put it in the tiles that are in the middle of the table? if you can use it for production you can take it back at the end of the turn, instead if you can put it for producition only in the tiles that are up for offering you lose them if you don't get the tile. thanks
Not sure if you are following the latest Kickstarter info, but as a person who already owns and Loves the base game, I'm looking for opinions on expansions. I'm thinking of purchasing the Big set and sell/trade away the base game. Usually playing with my husband so merchants looks good for that, but do you find you use Farmers much at this point, now that Merchants is available? The KS seems like such a great deal, I'm tempted
The major gripe I have with these expansions is the game becomes extremely fiddly with all the new items that are placed on those small game tiles. I don't think this expansion can be combined with the farmer's expansion. Just way too many things that need to be placed on tiles.
I find it strange that you focus on 2 player games and you havent yet made a runthrough on Twilight Struggle which is #1 on BGG...would love to see that as I havent found any decent ones on youtube.
Mohammed Al-Ateeqi not really our scene... Jen doesn't like the war-theme (even if it is cold war) and I don't like the "tit for tat" area control battle... :(

I can imagine tiles getting VERY busy now. Meeples, animeeples, extensions, cabins, resources - wowza!
Thanks for this nice one Richard!

Bastien Grandgirard lol! :)

Bummer, the footage went blurry early on :(

+Alex dema if you get outbid, you can move the meeples as a group elsewhere, to any spot you'd like :)
Great video, thanks! I'm curious, do you ever see yourself wanting to play the base game without any expansion(s) anymore?
Shane Knox probably not, base game is still great, but i see no reason not to seed in the other stuff :)

Tricia Clark farmers definitely makes the game more complicated, so as a general rule, i'd be more inclined to go with merchants than farmers.

I suggest you to use mono sound instead of stereo.
would if i could, but sony cam doesn't provide that option... only 5.1 or stereo
