I think the vehicle will be great for later in the mission, for driving around the map and hitting all the secondary objectives and loot spots, I use the jump pack to do exactly that, but man a humvee or warthog would kick ass
Thats what I used them for in HD 1 mostly. Spawn in, Drop the Rep 80 for repairs and the APC and ZOOM around the map hovering up all the Samples, THEN do the mission or any objectives we run into along the way. They do pack some good firepower too, Man I can't wait for them add the BASTION TD back in. That thing was a BEAST!
Depends on the vehicle, i think tanks and APCs should tank about 7-10 direct cannon shots, fast mobile vehicles should be at max 1 cannon but able to outrun arms fire
@ agreed. But it looks like we’re getting the warthog style first. APCs would be nice and should be able to take some big hits. EDF does vehicles right imo.
Your idea about ai chaos divers protecting certain area on the map sounds amazing! I think it should be a certain chance to get "chaos divers point of interest" or "chaos divers objective", which is going to be exactly the same as the regular ones but with ai chaos divers instead of bugs or bots. To spice things up they should have exactly the same weapon options (randomised) as a player. So you might be shot with diligence cs with pretty good accuracy from afar or even get an airburst rpg in your face, making it really challanging to fight with.
there is a very simple fix for the orbital barrage hell divers mark where they want the shots to go via ether marking it on the map OR marking a specific target.
If they do add vehicles, they should add an in mission Armory that requires 2 helldivers to open and contains support weapons, supplies, a Mech, and / or Vehicles. Adding mobility and support to all helldivers in certain missions that are lucky to find it. And make it an unannounced patch so players will be surprised when they start finding "Brashes Stashes" 😂
A collaberation with Ghostship games for Deeprock Galactic would be pretty easy to do overall - it'd be the addition of the planet Hoxas while they bring in the DRG styled bugs in Terminid space calling them another variation of the bugs with an Indigenous mining collective where a partnership would form for the benefit of Super Earth. Then adapt the look of some DRG armor and possible some of the weapons into the selection available for Helldivers.
@@GutsOfRivia fair, it might be described as a planetoid. It's function the same as the Helldivers attacking a moon. Even better if we had tunnels to fight in though it'd heavily restrict stratagems.
Just make the Chaos Divers like a Dark Souls/Elden Ring invasion - 1v4. Make it so players can't pick where they are going when invading, the game will always prioritize groups of 3 and 4 Helldivers over smaller groups, will always seek the highest difficulty (to help with prevention of pub stomps), allow for cooldowns between Chaos Diver invasions when a team encounters them (prevent fatigue from invasions). Allow for opt in/out just in case players don't want to deal with the system, but maybe incentivize with a reward multiplier to keep the option on. For Chaos Divers they only have starting equipment (primary, sidearm, grenades, and booster), no stratagems (but can pick up weapons and backpacks from drops/ground), one life only and no backup (bots and bugs will attack Chaos Divers on sight just like Helldivers, but will prioritize Helldivers over Chaos Divers if both are in the fray). Chaos Divers get Chaos Medals per Helldiver kill used to purchase exclusive cosmetics that are only available via their shop, and Helldivers will get medals for their team if they kill the Chaos Diver (bugs and bots take away the kill bonuses from players if they get the last hit in). Probably wouldn't be a perfect system, but I think it could be fun to help have that chaotic factor in the missions to break up the mundanity of the current game.
Arrowhead had been consistently butchering community sentiment by releasing something great and following up with something terrible. Not sure this is the recipe for a successful live service.

I wanna see the team tank from the first game, haven't gotten to play the first game, but sure as hell wanna see how will they make tank work in second game.
As someone that played game one, it was a BEAST! Also its a Tank Destroyer, 2 man crew, 1 driver, 1 gunner and with upgrades you had both a 105mm AT cannon and a Machine gun co axel. It was also pretty heavily armored on the front too and "in a straight line" at least not that slow. It did TURN like a tank though. And you do have to turn the tank cus its only got like.... 30-40 degrees of gun traverse left or right. Like.... try to imagine a Stug or some other "Self Propelled Gun", thats what it is like kinda. only really difference is the cannon is on the Back slightly above the TD, not sticking out the front of it.
In HD1 it was possible to lose the galactic war, and in that ending Super Earth was destroyed and they would find a new planet to make Super Earth. I think a cool 4th faction would be fighting the defeated SEAF/Helldivers from an alternate reality (where they lost) and they are trying to take over our super earth and
I RAN INTO A CHAOS DIVER EARLIER TODAY!!! He posed as one of us, took command of a super destroyer and entered my evacuate valuable materials mission. @@majorastorm HD 1 had a nanite repair gun that could repair vehicles and heal helldivers. By the nature of helldiver equipment the vehicles have always been mass produced one time use support equipment. Considering how much AH loves sticking to their own head cannon to the detriment of fun I doubt we'll ever see an ability to rearm vehicles. They have mentioned "thinking about it," but that's about it.
40k, Halo, Aliens, Dead Space, I would love to see underground content like going into a hive to kill HVTs like a queen or something. would be cool if there was a natural transition into caves or bug holes not just load up underground. Boarding enemy ships in hell pods or beach pods works just like in 40k which would be sick to raid a space station or enemy mother or battle ship.
If they collaborate with Devs of different games, we could see limited cross events in the way future. For example, having a small outer sector has a Zenomorph outbreak we need to fight as helldivers 😂 or even a Weylend industry as a in-game company that collects highly acidic specimens 😂
Coming soon™ >8 months in and we're still drip fed impactful content. Radio silence on what's coming, and what does come out is a sloppy mess (**cough cough** DSS **cough cough**).
To be fair, when it's not dropping bombs on us, orbital bombardment was fairly decent at clearing bases, still not really worth the reinforcement costs tho
The Chaos divers aren't against fellow helldiver's, they are against super earth screwing over the helldiver's. They won't do MO's when super earth has screwed the helldiver's in their eyes
Id imagine the Vehicles are probably DONE being "developed" except MAYBE the Bastion TD cus that was found only recently, but they might be having Game Engine Trouble or something, that was their Original excuse anyway. As for the Illuminites.... who knows at this point, maybe in the next "chapter" of Helldivers 2 story. Speaking of, wonder where its gonna go from here, cus they got 2 options: CYBERSTAIN INVASION or THE GLOOM. "I don't think vehicles is gonna work for every single scenario and every single map" Thats KINDA THE POINT, Some planets will favor vehicles well, others not so much. Those Swamp planets or the Rocky Mountain planets are obviously not favorable to Vehicles besides maybe Mechs, but the Majority of the worlds could operate vehicles very easily to SPEED THINGS UP! Also most of the Vehicles had better be FREE, including but not limited too tied to a MO like the Mechs where. I can see them adding a couple vehicles as a Warbond at some point (A Motorbike, The Colony Van), but we had better get the APCs for free.
I just want more stuff to spend my currencies on. I'm constantly full on samples, medals, etc. They don't even need to be meaningful upgrades, just give me weapon skins or aesthetic ship customizations or something. It just sucks extracting with 50 samples when I'm already full on them. Feels like I'm not really making any progress other than leveling up.
The vehicles are obviously gonna be available in certain biomes, which would have to be completely new, with bigger missions. Doesn’t make sense to use them on the ones we have currently.
maybe different vehicles are better suited for different planets, Buggy would be better for desert planets, apc might be better for rocky/swampy planets etc?
My thoughts too - the maps really aren’t large enough that you need a vehicle. You can solo an entire map within the time allotted. Having a vehicle would be cool but you wouldn’t actually get that much benefit from them
@ love thatttttt, I’d honestly be shocked if they started off like that vs just having one seeing how the devs operate 😂😂but that would be soooooo cool!
"Doesn't make sense to use them on the ones we currently have" Are you nutz? The vast majority of our current worlds could EASILY support Vehicles, very few of them are Unfriendly to Vehicles and even then the Mechs work in a pinch. If nothing else it will make the missions go by Faster, thus increasing the Liberation rate. They will be a Stratagem just like the Mechs are, im sure of it.
I just wish to point out it clearly said in Yellow Text "eagle airstrikes" which would imply bombing runs. But no they just do Strafing runs, which is Cool if a little Meh.
@jaywerner8415 it's meh in terms of visual but it was super effective and also less likely to team kill. My friend was the host when it was happening and he got the kills from the strafing runs so ended up with like double the amount of kills to the rest of the team
Super Destroyer Upgrades Son. More then likely thats how we gonna get them, for god sake they don't even have Stratagem chutes. Ammo reloads I would not hold my breath over however. Hopefully they add something to HEAL the mechs at least.
I reckon if anything, sony is the one pushing for collabs, bound to bring in an absurd influx of players and therefore money which sony of course can’t pass up on, and at the end of the day sony has the say over most decisions when it comes to the publishing/ more business esque side
That an Aliens Reference? Cus they do have a Klendathu Refernse if you check the planet names, but it might be covered by the Gloom so not sure if I can still find it. Its up in the North West side of the map somewhere.
I would like to see more of this game’s universe before a collaboration with another franchise. Its wack they have hinted at the illuminate faction so many times since launch and I would like for them to put work into that instead of giving us a couple armor sets and guns from a different franchise it kinda just muddies the water adding in a whole other universe before the game even feels completed or at a safe point for things like that to even come in. They wasted 60 days basically reverting the things they messed up, they need to get the story rolling it feels like they keep going off script and instead of pushing anything forward they are attempting to bring a universe in hoping it will attract other fans to join the franchise when most people stopped playing because they already have 150-600 hours of the same game loop with the same enemies and a warhammer or starship trooper warbond will probably bring a few new faces but it won’t last if they don’t add in something substantial
Remember when they talked about the big changes to the stalwart during the second half of the 60 day patch? All it got was a slight ergonomics increase. Can't trust these troll devs.
about the chaos divers - AH will really need to make the separation between chaos divers and grifters. they really shouldnt give power to the grifters who then hide behind the idea of RP. chaos divers should simply be divers who ignore all MO missions and dive literally to the opposite direction to where they are told. chaos divers dont kill other divers period and AH in which ever promo video they create need to make that clear as the official lore. besides making the chaos divers official - they maybe should make the faction of MO divers, bot divers, bug divers offical first as a group who do these specific things only --- then introduce the chaos divers last.
"Guys, stop asking for new content, don't you know they had to spend time to fix their untested game?? Stahp bullying the AAA-backed company I like, you all are are just impossible to please!"
I don’t think chaos diver will be healthy for the game, I know it’s just a role play, but it actually makes people have reason to team kill. Making it official may encourage players to team kill. It’s a bad idea, don’t do it!
Map not big enough for vehicles imo. If you're hitting POIs, bases, objectives around the map you'll only ride for a few seconds before having to get back out. Vehicles will be more about offense than transportation. Meaning, like the mechs, they'll be useful against bugs but not bots. Perhaps until actual tanks
*Releases the KYSS with no info other than how powerful it will be for us* *Surprise when players don't know how to use it with their obtuse war system and vague tactical dispatches*
This is the kind of things hurting the community. It generates expectation on the title, and when those expectations arent met, starts the hate. Guys, it's not coming soon, it would take a while, a pretty long one i asume. AH is a small studio with few developers, they can't release content that big and that often. Be real with expectations and you wouldnt be that frustrated. This game is awsome, different and fun.
I guess I'm not allowed to say anything bad about this game without the dev sympathizers mass reporting my comments for not agreeing with them. TOTALLY not exploiting a report system.. Guess everything in the game is "perfect" and nothing needs to be added because this is the "best" game in the whole world.
Chaos Diver idea. Single player per session, but you jump in another 4person teams mission without their knowledge and they don't have you on radar...and you just try to kill them or interrupt their mission while avoiding the enemy as well. Limited stratagems, or u can build them up if u steal resources from or before the 4team can get them
The game was running great, until they nerfed all the weapons and then reversed it with another patch. Now the game crashes, freezes, strategems don't respond correctly (becoming a grenade instead) primary weapon doesn't reload pressing the square button at certain times or just removes a magazine and doesn't insert a new magazine. But instead just removes a full magazine from you. Server connection issues. Its gotten terrible
Arrowhead's biggest failing is that they are so wrapped up in the idea that they are dungeon masters running a table top campaign they forget that they are actually developers running a live service game. We aren't playing a 3 hour session once a week here. Building up "hype" by being ambiguous with "what is to come" does not work well when it takes you MONTHS to put out any actual content, and then when you finally do... it is garbage... Give us a bloody road map already. CONFIRM that vastly requested features WILL be added to the game WITHIN a reasonable time frame. Don't be so worried about "spoiling" your campaign's plot that you lose your players before they even have any idea what it is... Fatshark got fucking DAN ABNET to write the story for Darktide... people are still waiting wondering where the fuck that story is... One look at that game's player count over the 2+ years it has been out will tell you how well that worked out for them.

First time using a mech on Tien kwan I got sniped by canon turret as soon as I got in good times
You mean your Tien Kwan produced mech didn't exploded on delivery? Sounds like you got lucky lol.
Vehicules would make heavy armor actually usable
Yeah... Guard radio towers that can be one shot from a mile away with the Recoilless Rifle 😂
If they add vehicles I hope some maps will start to look more developed and have roads/more buildings. It's about time we see some actual colonies
I thought the same the vehicle on bots will get hammered immediately. Bugs it’ll be a big w.
Like a Garage or Vehicles Hanger? That would be neat.
Bosco guard dog would be great.
I think Hoxas is an asteroid.
No PvP in Helldivers 2
Arrowhead had been consistently butchering community sentiment by releasing something great and following up with something terrible. Not sure this is the recipe for a successful live service.
ever played fortnite? Most successful live service game to date and does EXACTLY what you just mentioned. Just because people are unhappy, that does not mean they will stop playing, or stop enjoying the core gameplay
@@justicejuiced262 I have not but I understand it has a much more robust player base. Not sure how many more fk ups people can take before abandoning this game. I have close to 500 hours on HD2 and most of the time the devs are trying to fix their mistakes instead of putting out new content. It's not looking good for future reference.
where the fuck is the Review bomb Cape?
I can only ASSUME we will get it once Sony gets off its Greedy Corprate ASS and unblocks all the Countries they Blocked. It would be fitting no?
AHGS just oozes laziness out of every crack and crevice. at this point the leaked content outside of warbond stuff is all cut content until if/when it actually exists. waiting for the illuminate is starting to feel like waiting for star citizen at this point.
What shows their laziness?
How are they lazy??
As a StarCraft player I wouldn’t mind a Gauss rifle. If they add an enemy type that’s Zerg inspired I wouldn’t mind that. I don’t think I would be the most jazzed about skins unless it’s maybe a ghost but even then I don’t want the immersion to be ruined by going too crazy with a crossover
Imagine having something similar to ghost's stealth suit... My god.
@ that would be my dream. ATM I’m trying to put a Terran ghost build together and so far the cloaking is the only thing I’m trying to add. So far smoke strat or made is the closest thing to cloak
Save 14 minutes
They tease stuff they teased 1 month after launch
Vehicles, crossovers, "new stuff they can't tell yet"
I'm so sick of vids like that. Nothing in particular to this channel - just in general
We should know to be weary of arrowhead's content promises by now
I wanna see the team tank from the first game, haven't gotten to play the first game, but sure as hell wanna see how will they make tank work in second game.
POS put an orbital napalm barrage on the generators causing us to fail the objective before any bots had even arrived. THEY ARE OUT THERE I TELL YOU!!!!
That's not a chaos diver, it's just a POS.
imagine if the devs actually gave us new content that isn't the same old boring warbonds and ship modules?
Asking for too much? Yeah probably. These guys tend to do what the community wants only when most of their player base is gone
It'd be cool if they add a engineer armor that help repair mechs/turrets, and gives the mechs more ammo
@@majorastorm preach
@@majorastorm HD 1 had a nanite repair gun that could repair vehicles and heal helldivers. By the nature of helldiver equipment the vehicles have always been mass produced one time use support equipment. Considering how much AH loves sticking to their own head cannon to the detriment of fun I doubt we'll ever see an ability to rearm vehicles. They have mentioned "thinking about it," but that's about it.
Shout out to chaos divers clarifying several times and still being misunderstood lol
Been waiting for illuminet for to long
Fighting traitors in HD2 as well as SM2, bring it on
If they collaborate with Devs of different games, we could see limited cross events in the way future. For example, having a small outer sector has a Zenomorph outbreak we need to fight as helldivers 😂 or even a Weylend industry as a in-game company that collects highly acidic specimens 😂
Coming soon™
>8 months in and we're still drip fed impactful content. Radio silence on what's coming, and what does come out is a sloppy mess (**cough cough** DSS **cough cough**).
To be fair, when it's not dropping bombs on us, orbital bombardment was fairly decent at clearing bases, still not really worth the reinforcement costs tho
It's more than some of these other video games nowadays
The oribital bombardment is literally the only bad part. And they are a small studio, sorry this isnt cod where they reuse decades old assets.
@PonyBoy1776 that doesn't mean anything when we are just criticizing the game
Really looking forward to vehicles.
Collab wise I would love some kind of collab with deep rock galactic.
chaos divers sounds like a invade mechanic similar to dark souls/elden ring player invasions
The bombardment needs to be replaced with an extra, voted on, Strategem.
To this day my exo suits immediately get destroyed going up against the automatons.
Its probably all the Missile barrages or lots MG fire. Or a Combination of both.
I would really like a Killzone - Helldivers colab
How is it "obvious" ?
"Doesn't make sense to use them on the ones we currently have" Are you nutz? The vast majority of our current worlds could EASILY support Vehicles, very few of them are Unfriendly to Vehicles and even then the Mechs work in a pinch. If nothing else it will make the missions go by Faster, thus increasing the Liberation rate.
They will be a Stratagem just like the Mechs are, im sure of it.
For sure they will put the vehicles when the iluminate comes out.
The eagle strike for the dss was great
I just wish to point out it clearly said in Yellow Text "eagle airstrikes" which would imply bombing runs.
If anything the illuminates or whatever 3rd faction would come out around the 1 year release of helldivers 2.
I’m just hoping for some more black armor to mix the new helmet with.
The vehicles that have been in the game since day one? Those vehicles? Shocker, they finally will be releasing them...........
I would be scared to death of new vehicles...arrowhead would probably have it so they maximum overdrive on us
I just want to be able reload my mech's ammunitions and get a bit more armor on it before we get any kind of vehicles.
Super Destroyer Upgrades Son. More then likely thats how we gonna get them, for god sake they don't even have Stratagem chutes. Ammo reloads I would not hold my breath over however. Hopefully they add something to HEAL the mechs at least.
Chaos Divers would obviously be a pvp mode
my guess, they'll release Illuminates on Helldivers 2's anniversary
At this rate it feels that way.
Let's be real if they add vehicles it's gone be a 2 time use with 10min cooldown and tissue paper armour
I reckon if anything, sony is the one pushing for collabs, bound to bring in an absurd influx of players and therefore money which sony of course can’t pass up on, and at the end of the day sony has the say over most decisions when it comes to the publishing/ more business esque side
Wouldn't be cool if the spore cloud dissipated and a planet called LV-246 showed up in Terminid space?
I would fight Joel himself for my Motorcycle and sidecare back.
Remember when they talked about the big changes to the stalwart during the second half of the 60 day patch? All it got was a slight ergonomics increase. Can't trust these troll devs.
I no longer believe any of these rumors.
Facts...
about the chaos divers - AH will really need to make the separation between chaos divers and grifters. they really shouldnt give power to the grifters who then hide behind the idea of RP.
chaos divers should simply be divers who ignore all MO missions and dive literally to the opposite direction to where they are told.
chaos divers dont kill other divers period
and AH in which ever promo video they create need to make that clear as the official lore.
besides making the chaos divers official - they maybe should make the faction of MO divers, bot divers, bug divers offical first as a group who do these specific things only --- then introduce the chaos divers last.
"Guys, stop asking for new content, don't you know they had to spend time to fix their untested game?? Stahp bullying the AAA-backed company I like, you all are are just impossible to please!"
1:47 In AH terms "soon" means from 2 weeks to 2 and a half months.
Gods a planet overrun with Zerglings and Hydras would be scary as fuck. Or an army of Banglings and Ultralisks
Yall not play HD1? They had Apcs, tanks, motorcycles. Worked great tbh.
If they do aliens i want a smart gun
*Releases the KYSS with no info other than how powerful it will be for us*
*Surprise when players don't know how to use it with their obtuse war system and vague tactical dispatches*
Vehicles are not coming any time soon, especially if Pilestedt said the word "soon."
The illuminate are long overdue by now
why
@ Game’s almost been out for a year now man……
No, we need actual war operations that drive out the bugs or bots.
A year? What has destiny achieved in a year? @@TheLastMando08
Illuminate were never even promised for the game. It's just the community yelling into the void to release something early
I guess I'm not allowed to say anything bad about this game without the dev sympathizers mass reporting my comments for not agreeing with them. TOTALLY not exploiting a report system..
Guess everything in the game is "perfect" and nothing needs to be added because this is the "best" game in the whole world.
i highly disagree that if you do some IPs you have to do them all. obviously you have to pick and choose Alien works, but Mylittlepony does not.
EDF on steroids
Just make the Jetpack good and we wont need vehicles.
Wdym?, jet pack is already good, unless you mean you're wanting iron man style flight
Chaos Diver idea.
Single player per session, but you jump in another 4person teams mission without their knowledge and they don't have you on radar...and you just try to kill them or interrupt their mission while avoiding the enemy as well. Limited stratagems, or u can build them up if u steal resources from or before the 4team can get them
Wouldn't sit well with a few people because chaos divers hate team killing and detest people that team kill in the chaos divers name
Pvp will never come to helldivers
Massive copium but imagine ArrowHead announcing the Illuminate invasion at The Game Awards
Its gotten terrible
soon mean 2-3 months... that AH for ya
Why does he sound almost exactly like Joe Rogan?
Why does Cookie sound like Joe Rogan's younger brother?
Because he is
How do you struggle to get everything done? Really? Usually take 25-30 min with randoms...
I have no idea why they would put on vehicles. The game is already stupid easy with afk gaming becoming more meta.
They have been saying this for to long so I'll believe it when and if it happens
I hope the dss orbital drops vehicles
And i hope they DONT do crossovers. I'm so sick of crossovers in every. Single. Game. Let it be standalone it works.
Did I hear 'Rock and Stone'??
It will, as usual, suck on release. Then they will start a 60 day plan to fix it after player feedback and complaints. I have no hope for their ability to release finished and tested updates.
Always what’s coming…
