    8:36 That's actually realistic. Not only should you be using the electric trim switches on the yoke in a 737, but the trim wheel also needs to move a lot. Just look at a video of a real 737 cockpit and see just how fast that trim wheel is whizzing around.

    I love watching everything about using the the Honeycomb yoke and throttle quadrant! Between X Plane 11 and msfs 2020 I'm still experimenting on my settings, mainly those 7 switches on the throttle just below the autopilot control buttons and dials. Trying to determine which are the best or most useful settings to bind those to!

    I got mine not so long ago, I gotta say that it's the best value for the money. My only criticism would be about the control lever's quality. Compared to the rest of the unit, it does feel cheap and mine came with a boeing throttle 1 that is somewhat loose. I've seen aftermarket control levers for the bravo selling online, might try these somedays. Other than that, the whole unit is all you need combine it with the alpha and a good set of rudder pedals and you're in for some fun.

    Love the Bravo TQ! I think the selector knob aspects should have been lit by LED when your on that function the other AP functions are, I fly with the lights low in the room so some soft lighting to indicate would have been nice along with the white paint on the indicator knob. i know this really depends on your setup but I find the 7 rocker switches kinda not useful. I would have rather seen a screen that shows AP functions like a multi panel. Always use the rubber covers, over time you'll have dust/debris down in there and may affect function. Seems to be a growing theme out there from what I read. Mine was even brand new out the box and it was broken. Ya I don't know about this product. Hi Todd Malek, thank you for the comment. I agree on the quality. I have thought about doing an "Updated Review 3.0" given both my reverser switches no longer work. Given this, my rave reviews on this product may take a "notch" back; but I still find it to be an excellent product for the money. I got around the reverser issue by mapping them for the PMDG and Fenix A320 to the detents. But still, you are correct, the quality should be better. And for you getting a new quadrant and having issues, not acceptable. I must say, my experience with Honeycomb on returning the Alpha was impeccable and their support was great to work with. Nice review. I recently got the Airbus pack for mine as well. I noticed on the sides the Airbus throttles have markings like in the aircraft so you can visually line up with the detent markings even though there's not a physical detent. Also just a note you, the Bravo unfortunately doesn't actually have reverse axis, it's just a "button" similar to the reverse levers.
    I take advantage of it for things like the MSFS CRJ though where I map the throttle reduction function to the levers for reverse then "throttle cut" to the reverse detent "button" that way I can kill the reverse levers and pull back to the reverse detent to cut the reverse thrust without having to do the push the levers forward to normal thrust workaround

    I find the Bravo too be limited. As a flight model developer, I may be working on a single engine WWI radial one day, and a four engine jet the next. Currently, with the Bravo's design philosophy, you have to reconfigure your Bravo with each change in aircraft type. This seiously eats into my time as along with reconfiguring the throttles, you also have too reconfigure the sim's settings. The Bravo is an excellent product, but not for a developer. It assumes your going to choose and stick too flying one type of aircraft and gives no leeway for changing thattype on a constant basis..

    • @SimFanatic
      @SimFanatic  2 года назад

      Hey Samurai. Thank you so much for watching and for commenting. You bring up an interesting point about the Bravo being a flight model developer. You are 100% correct; it does take time to reconfigure the Bravo to go from SE to ME aircrafts for sure. I have found duplicating throttle configurations in MSFS has helped, but yes, you still need to go in and change it every time you switch aircraft which is a touch time consuming.
      That's awesome that you are a flight model developer. Can I ask what products or is that part of your NDA? :)
      Cheers Samurai Mouse and Blue Skies!!

    Hi, I prchased the Honeycomb Yoke and Throttle to replace Saitek yoke and throttle along with the Auto Pilot and Switch panel. Got Honeycomb throttle panel in beginning of November and yoke at end of November and removed Saitek yoke, throttle, switch panel, and auto pilot panel (multi-panel) in mid December. After installing the Honeycomb yoke and throttle, started checking things and found the following, the switch for the nav and taxi lights will not work. The rest of the switches work fine, beacon, strobe, and landing. On the throttle, the auto pilot does not work at all, except the auto pilot switch work, can see the light on instrument panel come on, but neither knob works, either to adjust hdg, nav, and so forth, Found out about making light work so still have to do that, plus since this is a newer yoke and throttle, did not have any bugs to fix. Fly only two planes, Cessna 172 and Beech Baron 58, plus Air Manager upgrades for both aircraft instrument panels and FS2020. One thing that is greatly appreciated with Honeybomb yoke is that have not more dead spots and better control on landing. So any ideas or information would be greatly appreciated.

    • @SimFanatic
      @SimFanatic  2 года назад +1

      Hi there David, hopefully I can help. Please be sure you download the driver for your Bravo Throttle from Honeycomb and be sure to pick the appropriate simulator (MSFS, XP, etc). This is critical in making the Autopilot and lights function correctly. As for some of the switches on the Alpha not working, what sim are you using and are the aircraft stock? If so, the switches should work. I would check your control settings in the simulator and make sure they are mapped correctly given they may be set for your previous Saitek hardware. Obviously there could be a hardware issue with the controller but I imagine it's more that you need to get the switches mapped in the software.
      For the drivers, you can go here: flyhoneycomb.com/pages/drivers
      Hope this helps. Cheers and Blue Skies!!

      Up date, had to go through the menu until I found the setting that said Set Taxi lights hold. and Set Nav lights hold. Now taxi and nav light switches work. Kind of weird since switches would not work when set to taxi light on and taxi light off, same for nav, yet beacon, strobe, and landing lights work with the on and off settings.
      Now working on the led lights. Got through installation of Honeycomb download and installation. Not sure where it was installed so working on trying to find so trying to find that to open packages and finish getting lights working. Found Auto Pilot is coming on instrument panel, since light on panel shows AP light on, but that is all so far. Now need to figure out is do I use the index setting or do I use the Set hold bugs for the index for the left know. The right knob used the decrease and increase setting, but nothing, when saw that their is a minus and plus setting. Next thing to try.

      Well I just fixed my TWCS throttle and it's nice and smooth now. I may get Bravo a bit later.

    And is the airbus throttle variant included when you buy the standard package

      Sorry Albin, it is not. The Airbus Throttle Pack costs an additional $69.99 and must be ordered separately. I did see it on mypilotstore.com for $65 on sale (but not sure what they charge for shipping). Thank you for watching and for commenting. Blue Skies!!

    does the throttle quadrant works with flight simulator 2006 year?

    • @SimFanatic
      @SimFanatic  Год назад

      Hello BE 58, my apologies for the delayed response. Given I no longer have Flight Simulator 2006 installed, I cannot say if the Bravo Throttle Quadrant with work with this version of flight simulator. My guess is some of the axis may work, but I would be surprised if all the features work. If you check the support page on Honeycomb's site, they have drivers for MSFS 2020 and FSX, Prepar3d, and X-Plane, but no mention of any MSFS versions earlier than FSX. So again, I can't confirm if the throttle quadrant works, but my guess is at the very least you will not have all the capabilities for the product for the 2006 version. Sorry that I can't be much more help on this.
      Good luck and Blue Skies!!

    This thing is pretty awesome, unfortunately I fly a Cessna so it's kinda useless to me.

      Lol, for sure! Well, you may have to start flying the big birds. I fly the Cessna as well as the Piper aircraft and I love having it for those as well. Actually, I do most of my flying with GA and love it. Very versatile.

      @@SimFanatic I fly a real 172 so my primary interest in simulation is gaining and maintaining proficiency with that aircraft.
      Yeah, I might get the urge at some point to sim fly a Piper or a multi-engine something or other or maybe an airliner and when that happens, Honeycomb will be my throttle quadrant of choice. For now however, there seems to be nothing readily available that emulates a Cessna throttle quadrant so I'll make do with the levers on top of my trusty CH yoke without having to spend substantial bucks for something that doesn't enhance my personal sim experience.
      What I might do, is go ahead and order another CH yoke and use the throttle quadrant components to fabricate my own Cessna style quadrant.

      Absolutely (depending on the simulator you are using). I know in both MSFS and X-Plane, you can map separate controllers to whatever function/axis you want to use. Cheers!
