Hello. Could you tell me how was your experience with the trim wheel in the honeycomb throttle? I would really appreciate if you could give me your opinion
@@pepeiglesias9603 The trim wheel has worked very well. It is, of course, a small (roughly 1/3 size) analogue of a Boeing trim wheel as found on the Boeing jets up through the 737. It is also similar in operation to a Cessna trim wheel, although it looks different. Except for the friction load of the trim cables in a real airplane, it operates very realistically. You can have both the trim wheel and the trim switches on the Alpha Yoke assigned to the trim, just as in a real plane.
I paused the video and said "wait". That was impressive. My ears are open if you'd like to share your method, @Virtual Reality Pilot! I will say it looks like it's on a track, you can see it in the reflection along the bottom of the panel :)
I have the Bravo Throttle and agree with the agree with the review, the feel and interchangable throttles are absolutely stellar. My only real gripe is the error panel; it's not ideally located. With the throttle forward (as in flight) the levers obscure the panel, not to mention the panel faces UP, not directly at your eyes, so they're difficult to see. Still this is indeed a stellar product.
Hello. Could you tell me how was your experience with the trim wheel in the honeycomb throttle? I would really appreciate if you could give me your opinion
But the most important question has not been answered: what is the tech inside? Potentiometers or hall effect? If using potentiometers the risk of failing levers due to spiking is real
Thank you for the video man I’m glad I found you! I’ve always been in love with this throttle quadrant, now that I saw your video I think I’ll be buying the Boeing 787 yoke from thrustmaster and I’ll take the honeycomb throttle.
SOLD! After a 5-6 year absence I'm getting back into MSFS. I have tons of peripherals; lots of GoFlight Modules but I guess they are out of business. My Ch Products Quad is broken I know and this unit seems like a great all in one restart. And a trim wheel? SOLD!
I've had them a while now and it has transformed my flying completely! Even though I already had a virpil base with A10 and f18 stick along with warthog throttle. It's just so good for GA /! commercial type flying. Highly recommended!!!
@@TheGarlicMan come back in a year and let me know if it still works 🤣 I'm saying from experience that Thrustmaster stuff does not last. Plus the honeycomb has way more axis and switches too. Having said that, I hardly use it now. Much prefer military flying in DCS.
You could let the sistem attached to the desk and have a vesa monitor arm so the only thing you move is the monitor instead of moving the honeycomb sistem. Great review my friend.
I ordered off Aerosoft, Should be arriving either sometime today or tomorrow, exited to replace my current Saitek/Logitech throttle, Glad you made a review of it!
Had this for a week also the yoke that made by same company, excellent unit esp for multi engine modern aircraft, I tend to play more ww2 and ww1 flight sims, like Il2 battle of stalingrad that also now uses VR, the combo flight system now makes this easier using VR over a conventional keyboard as you dont have to fumble about finding the keys when you can just flip a switch. Only issues is there are not enough controls for old fashioned advanced engines for that time period, for a single engine fighter yes you have enough controls, but for a twin engine its doesnt do it. you can easily setup throttle, fuel mixture, and a spare but you have oil and water radiators, cowl flaps, etc, etc, you can assign buttions for those effects also the radio dials help, but apart from that its a great piece of kit.
Hello. Could you tell me how was your experience with the trim wheel in the honeycomb throttle? I would really appreciate if you could give me your opinion
I got my Bravo just two days ago from Aerosoft GmBH, still no time to open the box and try it. After this video I will take time to set up for my MSFS on weekend!
good price for what you get, but i fly stick so would want the trim wheel on the right hand side. very good though glad to see them up for pre order as the prices for them on amazon was getting silly.
I’m new to flight simulators I ben doing research and looking at allot of videos I was goin to start with the logictech set up but now I’m goin all in for my first set up I’m goin honeycomb yoke and throttle. Good video good reviews I subscribe to your channel.
Fantastic, great review and wonderful production. Now I just need to win the lotto, for a new top end PC, Yoke, Controls, Monitors and what not. Wish I was 20 again and not 53! Happy flying and I check out all your content when I can.
I bought this, and with the twin-engine aircraft I can only turn in circles at the start! No good explanation anywhere on how to create a profile for a beechcraft or other twin-engine aircraft in X plane. Hopefully you can help me further?
Tried to set the throttle up in x plane 11 on a Mac not straight forward and not working as yet. I set up the yoke but x plane now doesn't recognise the yoke Was amazed to hear you say it was automatically set up both the yoke and throttle in MSFS. I contacted the European arm of Honeycomb (Im in the UK) but they have not replied.....
Ordered both the alpha yoke, and bravo throttle quadrant. Unfortunately my throttle quadrants 7th custom button doesn't work. No response from Honeycomb aeronautical, but luckily im able to return it to where I got it from.
There is a lot of mis information in these comments and review. It works out of the box is far from the truth. It uses pots for the axis rather than Hall effect sensors and there have been problems with the internal wiring breaking due to a poor design. Don’t take my word for it or a single reviewers, do your own research people it’s not all positive.
Any good ideas on how to mount this _on_ a table surface and not hanging over the edge? I have a large and deep table with a curved indent on the front where you sit, so it's deeper on both sides of me, so levers would be way back if mounted at the side edges.
great review, if only i had the space to put a flight yoke and throttle quadrant, as i have a Racing setup on my computer desk. someday i hope to be able to have a bigger desk and setup so i can race and fly.
I won a bid for the throttle quadrant for 140 and I made an offer for the yoke on Facebook market place 100, although there not new I spent 240 for both of them and in happy
Great video! Just ordered the yoke and throttle and I’m curious about something. What is the solution for rudder use? if I don’t have pedals and of course will not have a joystick to twist anymore.
As a combat flight simmer, I can't help but chuckle at the idea that 280 is expensive haha. On the combat flight sim side you can fully expect to pay 500-600 bucks for an F-18 throttle or helicopter collective
great video, nicely narrated. I have one question after viewing: Will the throttle work for a single or twin turboprop with Beta range and Reverse prop?
These suffer the same quandry as gaming PC building. The quadrant and Yoke's relatively mild price difference (when kitted out like for like based on features) compared to the massive leap in quality over Logitech's offerings kinda makes the Logitech set moot as a starter. Even if it's your first dip into flight sims you're going to want to make the leap just because you're going to have a far better time for your money and as a bonus, they've got a good chance of surviving long enough to be passed on or sold.
1) Is there a programable button to disconnect the autothottles?, 2) Is there a TOGA button? and, 3) Does the flap switch incrementally lower the flaps? Thanks.
Hello. Could you tell me how was your experience with the trim wheel in the honeycomb throttle? I would really appreciate if you could give me your opinion
Would this throttle quadrant work with the thrustmaster TCA Boeing edition? Curious as I love the quadrant, but not the Alpha, and love the TCA Boeing yoke, but not the quadrant to match their yoke.. TIA
Hello there people! Does anyone have experience with the Honeycomb Bravo Throttle? I fly everything from a Cessna to an A-10 Thunderbolt. Because of that, I'm curious how sturdy this throttle is. I'm afraid I might damage it, because I do sometimes give fast/harsh inputs! What's your experience regarding this? Thanks!
Greets from NZCH. 5 out of 5? Bit mean on your scoring there, methinks. A score of 8 out of 5 would be more appropriate. They also have the Airbus 318-380 kit. Great video, I have just subscribed, and look forward to your next edition. Cheers and go well, - Pat. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Does the honeycomb bravo throttle quadrant works with thrustmaster boeing yoke edition because I dont know if the thrustmaster throttle worth the price like the honeycomb bravo?
yes but it has been better recently - I tried using some software to set it up as an axis but i created more problems than I solved, particularly when coming off autopilot - so no, sorry I don't
I've been looking at this for a different use, but I can't find any information on it outside of flight sims (I want to use it in a space sim). Is it recognized by windows as a standard game controller? Do all the axes and buttons work like any other peripheral, and can be used in whatever way or game you like? I get that the autopilot and warning lights are MSFS specific, that's not a big deal.
I like it…still wish I could find some Cessna throttles that don’t cost as much as a Cessna.
Hahaha good one
@Romulus III oddly, quality Cessna controls have been hard to find.
