If you enjoy arpeggios, you must check out his live "Ki" performance from the "By a Thread" concert series where he performed 4 entire albums over 4 nights! I mean, who does that?? It brings tears to my eyes every time. SO beautiful.
This track was from the Terria album from much further back in his discography when compared to Failure, which only came out a few years ago. It shows in the approvements to his arrangement between the two. You'll likely already have a bunch of recommendations for the handful of other lead guitar moments in Devin's music. Willy Wanka is basically him jerking off for the camera, hence the name. Perhaps you can check out a performance that has a cool piece of gear of his? His performance of March of the Poozers at Royal Albert Hall includes a truly hilarious bit of kit. Alternatively, you could check out his riffing in Vampira. The music video is a good bit of fun, bit his done loads of live performances of it that are also loads of fun.
I believe he plays in open C in like 90% of his songs (hence the expressiveness of his sound). As far as guitar work goes, he absolutely despises solos and "show off" riffs and usually prefers simpler tones to build upon them, very much like an orchestra would work. He still has some pretty challenging Arpegios in some songs, like for example "By your command" from the same concert ! As a Guitarist I think the thing you'll find most interesting about his sound is that everything has 1) a shit ton of reverb and 2) is in Open C which is quite unnusual. As a big fan I'm not entirely sure what I could recommend that's interesting from the analytical point of view of an accomplished guitarist :(
