I really love your tierlist. Actually, the first one video I watched on this channel was a tierlist. I don't remember which one but it was a year ago. Ever since then, I have started following this channel. The thing I like the most about the guides are that you talk about them in an f2p point of view, which I find very rarely. Anyways, thanks for the guides always . Oops, i forgot about the tacter. Actually, i agree with most of them, but one , only one ayaka. I know cryo as an element is not in good state as of current abyss, but i think she belongs in t1. It's fine even at the bottom because she can do some crazy damage when enemies are grouped correctly. I hope future characters might help deal with this.

I think Rosaria is underrated for a lot of people, is a really solid unit, specially on reverse melt teams. The problem is the state of Cryo right now. Lets hope with the new Natlan Cryo units the element can have a little meta break.
Yeah, I'd have said the same before Fontaine. I used to play her Reverse Melt teams all the time in AoE. But Fontaine DPSes are stupidly strong and require zero effort in terms of gameplay.
as a lower level player (ar 46, lvl 70 top character, Dendro archon story wise) i use Rosaria in my national variant team Benny, Xiang Ling, Xingqui(water sword boy) and Rosaria. Just don’t know a great set to run on her so i might give her the cryo VV equivalent (bliz strayer or whatever)
I mean, she's not "meta", but I think everyone knows she works if properly built. I got my first abyss clear with her, Kokomi, Furina, and Wriothesley, last year. Sure, she was the weakest link in the team, but she contributed to it, and synergized really well with Kokomi's jellyfish. You can absolutely make her work, even if she's not the "optimal" choice. I found her fun to play with.
@@ElaelanieWish that was the case, but when the dark-skinned cast is Kaeya, Xinyan, Candace, Cyno, Dehya, and Sethos, it’s kinda hard to argue otherwise. Cyno is the best on the list by a far margin and even then has some pretty glaring gameplay issues. Even with Maulani and Kachina (who arent really even that dark but are more so than the rest of the characters) they’re projected to not be all that good, with Maulani getting new nerfs with each beta update.
Clorinde and Keqing being an entire tier away from each other is wrong. In reality Clorinde is only a little better then Keqing. (I take this back , Clorinde simply being self sustaining allows her to be played comfortably with a wider range of units on top of that her damage is just better)
I love Keqing don't get me wrong, but both at C0 Clorinde is just clearly better. She is argualy a marginally better driver, has better self sustain, works better with Furina (the best character/buffer in game) and has an actually viable Overload team. They do not belong in the same tier, when both are at C0
Yeah clorinde isn’t as good as jello points her out to be, especially since jello value comfort so much when she’s somewhat hard to play but doesn’t do as much as damage as Alhaitham, Hu tao and Lyney to compensate.
@abukhaliiil1211 bro she's not a desined to be carry she's more of a driver she's like 55%to60% of her team dps that's because she hit breaty fast she can apply alot of aggravates and fishle a4 maybe her personal damege isn't the highest but her team dps overall is defined up there I don't think she's better than alhaitam but difinly in the better side of dps try not to focus on the big screenshot numbers and focus on how fast the enemy dies
@@faresali178 I don’t think any of her teams are as good as Alhaitham hyperbloom or plunge Hu tao 😅 + I have Clorinde but she’s harder to play than Alhaitham and does a lot less damage than him. And I think just like the comment above said jello likes Clorinde.
i'm not one to comment on tier lists because at the end of the day there are a lot of variables that can sway opinions on a specific placement, but just looking at the finished tier list having clorinde that high (especially ending up being the best electro??? insane to me) sigewinne better than rosaria? TIGHNARI? diluc and klee better than YAE MIKO??? i just think there were a lot of oversights in the video and characters just weren't judged in the same manner. yae herself has a lot of strong teams, most of them better than diluc's STRONGEST team, and just because diluc got xianyun and it performs MILDLY well, doesn't justify such placement
Can't say much about other characters you mentioned, but as for clorinde I think it's fairly rated. She really isn't as bad as a lot of you think. "Keqing pro max" right? From how her kit looks I suppose, but how she actually performs no. She's way better than keqing "But she deals just as much dmg as keqing!!!" That's like one keqing comp vs pretty much all of clorinde's comp. Do you think keqing would work as well as clorinde in overload? Or taser? Or heck even mono electro? Her not being entirely dependent on reactions and having self healing makes her a self sufficient character. She really isn't just a "slightly better keqing" that some people think she is If you argue and say she isn't better than raiden shogun then I think it's fair, but if you argue and say she isn't better than keqing than hell no. She's a league above
yeah I honestly agree. As someone who has fully built Diluc and Yae Miko (+ I pulled Xianyun and she's built too) I honestly prefer Yae Miko to Diluc (and I'm a Diluc simp, mkay) because she fits into so many teams (I prefer her to Fischl too) and to play Diluc plunge I have to get out of my way to play that team specifically and it was usually only for the Abyss right after Xianyun was released and after that I don't use Diluc plunge at all. But Yae Miko? Hell yes, I use her team in Abyss always, honestly (Yae Miko, Nahida, Furina, Kokomi). Klee I had since 1.6, and while I admit I haven't build her properly, she just feels clunky and slow to play, so she's benched. Also, I dislike the small/child models, especially in dps characters. I also personally didn't like Clorinde's playstyle, and I much prefer Raiden (had her since her release), so I personally think Clorinde should be lower on the tier list if I were to make it; for sure behind Yae Miko and Raiden; seriously, justice for my electro girlies
Sigewinne is too high. She's just Kokomi but worse. She's high T2 at best for being solid for the theater as she should can be tagged onto any team but she's not anything impressive.
Jello Impact is so committed to the meta that he rewound time to the pre-Fontaine era to provide us with this tier list. My favorite guidemaker fr. edit: the title got fixed
That Clorinde ranking is so biased, even if she works with c6 chevreuse it's still not better than Raiden-chevreuse teams (like raiden, chevreuse, xiangling, bennett) IMHO. Getting fast clears also doesn't justify her place, remember when we all overestimated Nilou because hoyo made the abyss tailored for her.
I feel like the raiden is more of a screanshot team than an actual like good dps team because clorinde shots so fast and triggers alot of overlods with both fishle and Thoma makes her better overall And I don't think this abyss is realy a clorinde designed the blessing doesn't even work for her and the abyss that released with nilou with easy asf ans all aoe while this is considered one of the hardest abyses we ever got and have all the types of contents you will face both st and aoe and if she clears fast in this hell of an abyss an the previous one she will definitely clear fast in any abyss but honestly I agree in this being biased I think he should put her next to navia not better than alhatiam
@@faresali178 you're forgetting the 7 secs after Initial burst slash for Raiden. With chev and Bennet in team she does 250k+ burst and 25k normal slash and 45-50k charged which hits twice. You can pull off 4 N3C1 combos or 6N1C1 combos
A few things that people didn't see regarding clorinde vs shogun is that clorinde is skill reliant and shogun is burst reliant. That alone is enough to make a difference because it makes clorinde way more flexible in the battlefield compared to shogun Also, since you are comparing them in overload team I guess I'll mention it. That clorinde can easily catch up to the enemies that are knocked away by overload, which shogun tend to struggle with One last thing is that clorinde can heal herself, which shogun cannot do. While yes, shogun has teamwide utility that no other can do, but combined with how clorinde doesn't rely on reactions a lot and her self healing, it makes her a much more self sufficient character Clorinde and shogun I think is a more fair comparison (at least compare to alhaitham and keqing). Not saying either of them are better than the other, but I think it's safe to say they serve different purposes
@@leoniichan1229 agree but a few things, while clorinde is skill reliant, burst is never really a problem for raiden. If you have 260+ er no matter how you play you'll always get your burst. Yeah her burst duration is 7 sec with 18 sec cooldown. While clorinde has 7.5 sec duration of skill with 16 sec cooldown. But I think the hyperarmour you get for raiden can justify the 2 secs. Range is a huge advantage for clorinde. But enemies in abyss rarely get thrown by overload in higher floors. And Raiden also gets energy for your entire team which makes characters with high burst cost like xiangling and xinqiu very much viable in her team. I don't really care for the Raiden vs Clorinde debate. I've been simping for Raiden since release and I have her C3R1. I also have clorinde but at c0. Different teams for them. I clear everything within 20-30 secs using Raiden Hyper-overload so yeah. Clorinde is definitely a great unit, damage wise better than raiden at c0 but utility wise Raiden is still better. So they are on the same level to me.
@@chonkhampter The problem with burst reliant is that if you're in scenarios where your source of energy is limited (like facing against energy draining enemies or enemies that drops 0 particles etc), it tends to make the character more inflexible. That's the advantage of being skill reliant And yeah, to me they are about the same level if we don't look at constellations. They serve different purposes and that's it
People in the comments really didn't watch the video, Jello says multiple times that the rankings in the same tier don't matter as much, it's not a precise order
That's why it's usually best to just sort characters alphabetically within tiers so that there are no nitpicks because of exact placements. Edit: Also jello's shuffling of placements like he did with Nahida make it look like the rankings matter
@@blaze_burnI have c6 fischl and Yae and I never use fischl because shes never the better options in the teams I use. So from my experience Yae is better.
My tighnari is 10/5/8 but I don’t find him good at all. His damage is just awful in comparison to my lyney. He is triple crowned to be fair, but even then I don’t think he comes even cold to him. I think his main issue is that his rotations are so quick that often there are just no characters that have that short of cooldowns to fit with him. I use him with nahida fischl and a flex.
He's really good in ST with Nahida and Miko, but that's about it. He feels pretty bad in AoE whenever I try him... then I switch to and Alhaitham or even Keqing team and it feels like night and day.
- I’d put Tignari & Shenhe a tier up. - Sigewinne a tier down. - Clorinde is rated up too high. She could go below within the T1 section. There is no way she is above Alhaitham & Raiden. - Baizhu could go way up within T1 section. - Klee & Diluc can stay in T1.5, but could go a bit lower. - Beidou, Heizou, Diona & Rosaria could go up a bit within T2 section. - I would also put Kazuha & Nahida above Yelan & Neuvillette.
Clorinde is kinda cracked due to the rest of the cast. Raiden's teams are easy to build and very flexible but they don't peak very high, and her Chevy teams tend to be pretty similar to Clorinde's though Clorinde also lets you use national on the other side since she isn't using Ben/XL. Al Haitham only performs exceptionally with premium, T0 units that nobody is arguing about such as Nahida, Yelan and Furina, otherwise he falls below or equals Clorinde's teams. Clorinde performs similarly to Al haitham in spread/aggravate but with 4 star only teams (Kiwawa C0 but C4 is preferable, C6 makes her a Nahida alternative), she has much more flexible overload teams and the shorter rotations/skill reliance make her actual performance better than Raiden, and when it comes to hyper/quickbloom she's about the same as al haitham but marginally less comfortable. She also performs pretty okay in taser etc (though Raiden double hydro taser is better, it is also extremely premium) and she can actually utilise Mona instead of Furina and get roughly the same dps performance due to her short rotations, which is crazy. She has annoyance in not being able to switch out but otherwise she's very comparable to Al Haitham, and her performance is usually enough to justify a shielder and get Raiden's interrupt resist, and she synergises really well with shielders such that they're usually DPS equivalences (Kiwawa versus Nahida is actually about the same, Thoma versus XL is about the same etc) which, again, is crazy. She is either toe-to-toe, or a slightly less comfortable equivalent, or only marginally behind those 2, in most of their ideal situations, whilst a lot more flexible than either. If you value synergy with shielders for comfort, flexibility, or some degree of vertical investment, like Jello does, it's very hard to argue Clorinde isn't at least Al Haitham's equivalent.
@@AlwaysThirstysimma be real with you bro, the only serious theorycrafter that thinks Xingqiu is better is Zajeff, everyone else I have watched thinks Yelan’s damage and DMG buffs are worth it over Xingqiu’s comfort and application. Comfort is Xingqiu’s biggest asset, and comfort is always subjective.
Yelan is better than Xingqiu. Xingqiu provides, 1 more hydro app and 2, weak shields and heals. Yelan provides more damage and an additional dmg buff to the team. She's also really good with Furina. The only time Xingqiu is still best is for Hyperbloom.
The jump for Wrio c0 to c1 feels so good that he is now my best single target carry in the game. Rating him 1.5 at C0 makes sense and he still is a ton of fun. I am basically pulling Emilie c0R1 for him in burnmelt.
Nice tier list! Only thing that had me go huh is your explanation of Sigewinne’s placement. If her only good team is mono hydro, which few people seem to play, and even there she’s only a slight upgrade over Kokomi, then that makes her a bad excuse for a 5* unit to me. If her element doesn’t matter (and her element is hydro!), then that should grant her a spot somewhere way down the list. No matter how comfy her healing is.
I think my biggest disagreement is Raiden and Kuki under Fischl and Chlorinde. Supports like them and in Raiden's case that can also dish out solid damage is overall more valuable than any dps those 2 can dish out. They definitely qualify on team flexibility and ease of build and use. Especially thanks to dendro even a C0 Raiden can be built purely on EM and perform at a high level. I would also put Koko and Baiizhu ahead of the anemo quad. Other than those changes I can't disagree too much with the list. I might consider Kazuha and Nahida ahead of Nuevillette but I can't really disagree with that too much.
Ppl simp hard for Raiden Raiden is cool but nobody needs her, she isnt best for dmg, application or anything important She is flexible etc. but no usp Clorinde is best driver n best overload elcetro, shes better cz she is best in some cases Also Fischl is in way more team than kuki, also kuki is very good but Fischl is so Meta also cz of her insane short Rotation what is important for some new units Hyperbloom isnt that great in general btw, its like raiden overall good, nothing crazy tho
About Kokomi, I *love* playing Kokomi Hyperbloom. Kokomi+XQ together have infinite interrupt resist (or feels like it) + Nahida and Raiden; it was my go to team for a long time for braindead 36☆ clears.
That's my abyss team, except I use Furina instead of Xingqiu 😌. No idea if that team is recommendable, or highly regarded, I just use it cause I'm a Kokomi main, and it works well for her 💅.
I've seen some disrespect to Bennett in reddit and youtube comments, saying that he's fallen off... glad I'm not the only one that still believe he's broken. It is true he needs a different build to be able to work with Furina. I'm running Maiden Beloved full HP and ER and he works great.
I would imagine the Pyro Archon being similar to Bennett but better: can heal well without under 70% HP requirement, can buff without circle impact (so like Furina), can deal higher damage and from off-field, and do all of those 3 with her Elemental Skill instead of Burst (no need energy). If this happens, Pyro Archon will join the T0 lineup and Bennett will move down to T1.
@@verzetta Honestly I see a lot of ways the Archon could be. But indeed, healing, buffs and off-field damage are the main characteristics that can be combined in all sorts of ways. But I don't know... knowing HoyoV, it could still be another on-field Pyro DPS. If the Archon is indeed an ATK buffer, it's possible they make it such that it doesn't stack with Bennett. So basically you'd have Bennett for both sides, but not a team with two Bennetts.
@@michaelhan2291 I do have a noblesse build for him for when I'm not running him with Furina. I use Aquila so I use ER/HP/Healing Bonus with my Maiden's Beloved. Maiden Beloved is quite OP when it comes to healing.
Great list. One of my only gripes is that xiangling being anywhere outside of t0 is a wild take imo. Even with the ER needs, her aoe pyro application is an auto win against most bosses (hydro tulpa, robot dancers, lector boss, chicken grass, ice cube, electro unicorn, etc) and other enemies whose shields are a huge problem. Like you said, there are characters who do plenty of comparable damage now but there isnt a character who comes close to her pyro application at the moment
I think thats probably why shes in the tier below, because what you said, no one does what xiangling does. If you were to isolate her kit alone, without considering that shes the only good off field pyro applier at the moment, you could probably notice that her kit is not all that good enough to be in the T0 tier, but then again, she is still so high up in the tier list because shes the only one of her respective role. I think that people have realised that it isnt really Xiangling herself thats super meta, but the role she has in a team, great off field pyro
@@eluvqii I was gonna basically post this comment. Her ER needs really restrict things even with the catch and emblem; if her constellations reduced them or even just conditionally reduced her cooldowns I think she could be rated higher.
I'm so sick of her (or more accurately, so sick of not having even a half-decent alternative to XL), but I kinda have to agree - when (or at this point, if) we do get those alternatives, she can go lower. Though Klee does apply even more Pyro than XL, but she needs to be on-field for that, so the point stands.
If Chasca doesn’t powercreep Shenhe as a support but ends up having better synergy with her(I think that’s why she hasn’t got a rerun yet), then we could be seeing Shenhe shooted to top. Citlali could end up being “Chev” for SuperConduct or Melt too. We still have snezhnaya. So I shall Cope.
@@neverever1704Yeah I think Shenhe needs Chasca to be made for her, Ayaya has too many burst hits and not enough skill hits to really optimally use the quills. Chasca’s optimal rotation needs five hits of every type. Also, I think an off-field Benny could really help her. Since she is attack scaling, giving her a similar attack buff to Benny would really help her own buffing. Praying for Pyro Archon.
Shenhe is dogshit, ever since furina dropper her use cases is melt speedruns wich is a big niche that barelly anyone plays and those who do are masochists
The tier list isnt 'unbiased' as stated in the title anyway. I feel like Jello does not use Cryo characters enough to know how to rate them. I have been using Shenhe on Wriothesley melt team with Bennett and Kazuha, as well as Chongyun plunge team with Furina and Xianyun, and I can 9 star abyss consistently every cycle with minutes to spare. Yes Furina is better than Shenhe. However, a score of 10 is higher than a score of 8 doesnt mean 8 is a bad score
Man I cannot WAIT to get C6 Chevy. I have C2 right now I believe and I’m definitely pulling for cons when she re-runs. I end up using her a lot even at C2! I cannot wait to see what C6 is like. Full team heals and massive dmg boosts. Ughhhh I wanna try out a C6 Chevy so bad.
He has C6 Chevy and most people don’t. It’s not a personal bias it’s a Chevy bias. Plus he does Resin top-ups and has a much better Whimsy set than most people.
Jello used to simp for raiden but now that he's got clorinde he no longer likes her as much. Wait till we get another blue/purple haired big melons (bigger than clorinde) electro character. He will switch his fav again.

@@eluvqii well I've seen a lot of grown woman drool for Zhongli, Diluc, Alhaitham or Neuvilette, wriotehesly. But because the player base is mostly male we notice it more. I myself am a grown up and I kinda like hot and cool animated characters too lol. Tho I mostly prefer cool over hot. Is it weird? Yeah kinda. But I'm not at that level to buy figurines or posters, body pillows, or other merch related to them. I'm a sane person. But you can't change what you like that easily.

@@AkumaItachi no I meant the level of insanity when they spend their life saving on those and go broke. And the body pillow thingy and half naked figurines. If it's a hobby it's good but most of them fall into an addiction like one of my friends who has 2 whole shelves of figurines when he has average income. some of the figurines cost him over 500 dollars. I'm not to judge him but he had heated arguments with his family members over this couple of times. I myself have a Malenia figurine but it's the only one I have. It's fake and cost me 20 dollars. I bought it when I was simping too hard for Malenia XD
My favorite Ganyu team at the moment is Furina/Venti/Charlotte, although I do love burn melt Ganyu as well. The Ganyu/Venti combo is just so good in AoE, especially with smaller enemies. Then add Furina and Charlotte for freeze and buffing and it clears quicker than my Alhaitham teams most of the time. The bonus is that it doesn’t even require consistent Ganyu charged shots since most of the damage is from her burst. Definitely worth a try!
I should probably add that Ganyu was my first 5 star DPS and I’ve had her for much longer than my other characters, so I guess you can take it with a grain of salt when I say that team does more damage than my Alhaitham teams, since my Ganyu build is much better than his.
ahhh i wish i was able to get furina.. I'm still stuck with using mona and diona because I lost the 50/50 lol. still really really strong though and shes so comfy to use
Yep, I don’t have Charlotte since Hoyo refuses to put her on any banners so I use Ganyu Kokomi Venti Layla. I can’t wait to try out a Furina version but even my current one works very well and has been my over world and floor 9 through 11 team for nearly a year now ever since I got Venti.
@@galactase8578replace venti with Kazuha and you can use it on floor 12. It's her best freeze team right now. Like they said , you don't need to shoot many charge shots, but each one's damage is above 100k. Each icicle does 20k+ and there are 50 icicles.
Clorinde may be the most underrated dps in recent history She has some of the best synergy with furina to the point that clorinde furina teams do not need a healer She is the best aggravate dps and idk how ppl say keqing is anywhere near her She is great in overload and probably the 2nd best overload dps after arle (raiden is up there too) 2nd/3rd best c0 taser dps after neuv and ayato She has range which i feel is an underrated part of her kit (same with her dash ability to dodge) Her short field time means she is great with people who's buffs dont last insanely long without being refreshed (e.g. kazuzu and baizhu) She is also a very solid hyperbloom trigger, 4th best under raiden, kuki and maybe cyno imo She works in every electro team even superbloom I wouldn't go as far to say shes better than haitham but there are definitely arguments to be made
@@gama112 and you are saying pyro is good? Pyro is even more only carried by the power of their characters. In addition to that Hu Tao is straight up completely outclassed by Arlecchino, while the other 4 all have their strong points. And Wrio, Ayaka and Childe completely destroy Hu Tao in AOE damage and are just slightly behind her in single target. Also as much as I hate her, but Sucrose is just a minimal downgrade to Kazuha, which makes her still one of the best supports in the game.
I am still a little perplexed why Jello's take on Navia Plunge. Why is she preferreed over Hu Tao and Xiao as well as why Navia plunge is the "go to" team for Navia.
@@HotPepperLala probably he answered your second question "go to team for Navia", more practical plus plunges are stronger than normal/charged (especially claymore plunges). As for the first, i still think Xiao is the most optimal out of the 3 (XXFF is probably the only team that can compete with Neuvillette in AoE), and Navia is arguably competitive with Hu Tao depending on the situation (high HP opponents with few or no waves prefers Navia due to frontload, opponents with many waves or high HP opponent where you don't have to rush prefers Hu Tao due to consistent plunges).

So the tiers are basically: 0 - Best of the best 1 - Consistently strong options 1.5 - Great but replaceable by or need to be paired with the strongest options 2 - Good but replaceable by or need to be paired with somewhat better options 3 - Passable but there are clearly better options 4 - Passable but there are clearly much better options 5 - Any other option will be better
I’m personally a big fan of Ganyu quickswap melt with Kazuha Xiangling Bennett. No charge, just skill and burst with elegy. Personally, it’s my go to team for mobs when freeze is no good.
I tried that exact team for triple Kenki speedrunning in the previous abyss for the first time and it was really good, I was actually quite surprised by her Melted burst damage (though I do use some charged shots here and there).
Zhongli really is that character that gives the sheer level of comfort to put him high up lol. Completely agree with your reasoning to keep him out of tier 0, but I will say he's ridiculously easy to build. Not sure if that's a 'fair' statement to add, but all you gotta do is put HP% and Tenacity on him, and he's ready as a general support. He hard carries any low level team I may be forced to use at times. Super helpful and comfy
According to someone's tierlist that I had an argument today, Zhongli was D tier, together with amber, because he is a DPS loss for every team. So dunno maybe we are all wrong (He had Dori and Keqing in S tier) (I need to vent my dissapointment in this world)
@@joeyyoung5173 Ok, that really feels like a troll take. I personally think casuals overrate him and hardcore players underrate him. I would probably put him in T2, but I am someone who generally doesn't value comfort (at least in terms of shielding) too much + to me he is very much replaceable by Layla/Thoma/Kirara in almost all teams I play (for the rare cases in which I actually need a shield). Though if I weighted comfort higher, I'd put him T1.

But they'd have to be a very dedicated troll to: Make a tierlist post about it Comment that opinion under multiple teamlists over an extended period of time Become very aggressive when countered against. But there is indeed something to be said about if he deserves a very high spot. Many teams that want a shielder have shield options that directly benefit the reaction. He is quite a comfort pick and very slappable, so that mainly gives him value.
I think she's the most comfy / consistent for electro dps role alone, not a bad take. If talking about versatility and overall value then Fischl or Raiden.
I appreciate how you added comfort as a consideration for some of your picks instead of making everything about damage. With that said, though, I think it’s for that reason that I argue Xingqiu deserves to be at least bottom of T0. The interruption resistance provided by Rain Swords, as you said, is invaluable for some of the top DPS units, and while C6 is a massive increase to his damage, his C2 with the Hydro Res% shred is no slouch either. However, what brings him up is how accessible he is. Not necessarily in terms of building him, but how easier it can be to get him compared to other top units. As a Liyue 4 star who debuted in 1.0, you’re guaranteed a copy of him from Lantern Rite, plus twice a year from Paimon’s Bargains.
But the first 3 characters on T0 is hydro, and Xing is now needed as much he was before Fontaine. Now we can go fine without him. And for damage Yelan bring way more

Back then we didn't have many options to choose from that's why we'd pick him all the time. But now there are only a few specific scenarios where we'd prefer him over the likes of yelan & furina

I honestly want to know what on earth they were thinking with Sigewinne's trial. What was anyone actually meant to do with that team? If some leak said they deliberately cooked up the worst possible combination of 4 stars to showcase her with I'd honestly believe it. Also +1 on actually being able to experiment more in trials, 'cause _man_ are some trials useless for actually feeling out a character.

the amount of Klee hate is INSANE sometimes. Like they literally make her sound like she's unplayable when she's not. ESPECIALLY now that Furina is out she's pretty good.

I totally agree with Ayaka and Ganyu placements, its a shame freeze has been shit cuz hoyo refuses to make a good abyss for freeze and way to mobile and high damaging bosses for ganyu/zong to tank, because i rlly think Ganyu and Ayaka are still strong carries.
I think you should use this list as reference for future characters. When you make a guide, just say where there character would place in the list. That way, you will update it along the way and we will know how new characters fare compared to the rest of the cast. Keep up the good work !
I think so too. I mean he said that Yae is annoying as on-field dps but that's not the only way to play her. My Yae is in my best boss fight team with Fischl, Nahida and Zhongli.

I'd place Arle a tier below personally. Her dmg is really not that different comapred to other top dps characters and the reasoning behind having neuvilette in T0 was always that he brought so much ease of use and comfort while still dealing good aoe dmg from a distance but still not the best at it. People really overrate her and I think it's a case of dmg per screenshot, they see big initial numbers but don't consider that you're only doing 4 or 5 n3 combos of which 33% will vape and give you probably the best front loaded dmg but it also falls of really quickly. Unlike neuvillete she's also squishy, has survivability issues, wants zl for comfort but dmg suffers, less aoe and dependent on bennets circle which is enough of reasons to not put her in T0 imo.

XL was a HUGE boon to my account and she made 36 starring much more possible as I was moving into the end game. I have C4 now, and while it's objectively more so it's better, I don't think it's as necessary as people say. She's SO powerful, even without it
I was thinking the same thing. Letting Furina’s minions chase down enemies and blast them with coordinated attacks is always amusing. I hope to add some constellations to Furina and maybe Nahida to make it even stronger in the future.
My favorite Raiden team too. Even if Raiden goes for usual Crit-oriented build, still good because Nahida+Baizhu boosts her HB dmg, cannot be interrupted, and Baizhu backup with a bit of interrupt res during support setup.
Warms my heart to see Klee and Sigewinne get some respect here, both are way too overhated/underrated. I'm honestly convinced the only reason they get so much hate is people just not using them at all. Their trial stages are kinda awful, so I imagine a lot of people that never pulled either are biased because of them. Still love people pointing out C6 Sigewinne's DPS being about equal to C0 Neuvillette as a negative, as if one of the best healers being comparable to a T0 DPS is bad somehow.
100% agreed. I did find Klee too clunky when I tried her in reverse Vape, but as soon as I tried mono-Pyro, she bacame my favorite Pyro on-fielder and then only got better with Furina (Arlecchino came really close, but I still enjoy Klee's playstyle more). I got her C1 on the last regular character banner and then C2 on the chronicled banner and (despite losing 50/50 to Diluc for the 69th time) I have no regrets - I can now sometimes even use her as a support. My C4R1 Siggy dps goes brrrrr (legit fastest out of any team I have and tried in current F12-1-1), while my cheap C0 Recurve Bow Siggy on my alt account is at least pretty good on Furina/Yelan mono-Hydro; the team feels much better to play than with Kokomi + lets me play Kokomi in Nilou Bloom again.
Imagine me starting the game again and after 3 months getting Furina on her last day with my last primogems. It was so wild. Best new player free to play experience. Now I have 90 wishes ready for the fire archon. I think furina+fire archon will make an insane team combo.
I just started the video (so edit might come on this post) But I already agree with you about Sigewinne. She heals really well with her skill, I have a Sacrificial bow so I can throw a second skill if needed (rarely, so might change her weapon for a simple Recurve Bow) and even though her buff to off field skill is limited, it's still a nice buff in a team with Nahida, Furina, Yae (all off field high DPS dmg) Even if it's only 10 instance of damage, it's still quite powerful (and I can still use Sacrificial bow to refresh the 10 instance)
You IMMENSELY undervalue Hyperbloom Raiden. Kuki is literally only good for melee characters, while raiden procs and buffs everyone. Not to mention the fact Kuki can get one shot easily, and raiden batteries better. All while upping Ult DMG for the team, and having more than twice the skill uptime! Imaginarium theater was the first time in a LONG time, that i even used Kuki again... 🤷
I tried using Raiden as a hyperbloom trigger but ended up switching her back to DPS, i just don't find myself needing an electro trigger for both sides of the abyss. What characters do you think use Raiden better than Kuki for hyperbloom?
I do agree that she those has pros (but also a few cons - her skill doesn't proc on shielded enemies, she doesn't heal) compared to Kuki, but to me Hyperbloom Raiden always felt like a waste of a strong and fun to play on-fielder, when for the exact same purpose (and only a few slight inconveniences) you can just use a C0 4* character that's not really that great anywhere else (unfortunately). Ofc, if you enjoy playing it, great for you.
Kuki has 100% uptime at c2+, I think that's more than enough. She requires a bit better artifacts to not, as you say, get 1 shot tho. Leaving her on field for a second to absorb her first tick is often worth it, and if she heals for 3.5 - 4k per tick you're good to go. A lot of teams appreciate her healing too and the ranged proc vs. melee proc is a double edged sword. You have little control over where the proc happens with Raiden but it's predictable with Kuki, also if the enemy is off the ground Raiden literally can't hit the blooms. On the flip side if the enemy has a huge hitbox the blooms sometimes land outside of Kuki's range. In a general tier list I think Kuki belongs slightly behind Raiden tho, and in a f2p/new player focused one Kuki is easily T0.
@@bjornnilsson2941 While you make some sound points, there's something to be said about Raidens comfort. You use her skill once and don't have to worry about it for 25 secs, she procs whether you're near the enemy or not. Her Ult can battery the team in a pinch, while also buffing your other units Ults. If Kazuha could 100% suck in all enemies, then I'd agree with her healing consolation gives her an edge. But with Nuev Hyperbloom being the strongest variant atm, range and comfort takes the lead.
I got c2 furina just because she's my favorite character, her personality, design, and voice lines are so loving and all this time I didn't know that she's so good in terms of buffing character (I'm using her as sub dps for Neuvi)😂
The problem with Chevreuse is you have to proc overload consistently and for an Electro on field team u have to use xinagling or thoma and you also need bennett with xinagling generally. So if u dont sant to use thoma u cant have another electro on the team. Exemple is Raiden Xiangling Bennett Chevreuse. If maybe pyro archon is 2 in 1 and can replace both Bennett and Xiangling we can put another electro there and the team would be really buffed imo.
im not really a fan of tierlists that put too much emphasis on "comfort" because realistically in a *meta* tierlist you would simply rate the characters on their irreplaceable and pure value on the best teams in the game. characters like shenhe, kokomi, venti, yae (to some extent) all deserve to be rated lower since nobody gets that irreplaceable value that I said earlier. theyre just a sidegrade, you really have to go out of your way to make use of them or have them giga-built to get the same value as another character. it makes the tierlist inconsistent since you rated someone like klee purely on damage, but not taking her unfavorable playstyle into too much consideration. I wish more content creators would do that since it gives a way more fair rating instead of saying "guys i like kokomi so shes tier 1"
Comfort can be valuable in cases where it provides interruption resistance and poise (xingqiu, zhongli, raiden) which would yield higher damage in practice and is very valuable for players. Otherwise you might as well not play the game at all and just rank characters based on their theoretical sheet dps and call it a day.
i do agree there are some bias in the tierlist, but in all honesty, klee is not the best example of being unfavorable playstyle, as there are many more not so likable playstyles, i do play klee and yea i think she definitely is a bit clunky but still very usable and fun to play is most case scenarios
You are looking at it wrong of your own volition. Jello assumes you have all the teams. Some of them, no matter how niche, mog most others that use “irreplaceable” units.
Awesome video. I haven't played Genshin for almost 4 years and came back like 2 months ago. I did have Diluc and Fishl as one of my first pulls since almost the beginning of the game and it's funny to see how the meta changed from the time they were S tier. Always appreciate these kind of videos since they solidify my decision making of which characters I want to pull for. ✌

I actually think the opposite about Alhaitham personally, at f2p investment Alhaitham has to be on a quickbloom team with Furina or else he can get outdamaged by other characters pretty easily. For example in his hyperbloom team with Nahida Xingqiu Kuki, replacing Alhaitham with Fischl and using Nahida on-field is generally better for overall damage while Fischl also deals ~9% more damage than Alhaitham. But if you ask me I have to say that Alhaitham's personal damage wasn't really that good at any point in the game, on quickbloom with Furina fine, his damage is considerable but without it his damage falls down quite surprisingly, Alhaitham's power mostly lies on his team compositions and character synergy too, as well as his AoE which is pretty nice.
Hyperbloom with Alhaitham is way better in AOE and multi waves from my experience. I didn't seen a big difference in single target compare to double hydro.
@@Camelia437 Well the point is that his personal damage outside Furina variants is very mid and can get outclassed, it kind of reminds Rational, Raiden's power on the team is Xiangling. Anyways, I already mentioned that Alhaitham is good in AoE, multi wave too but it's not a huge upgrade, his powers are his comfiness and synergy which is very important for a dendro unit.

@@aven2rine. 45k with Alhaitham per mirror should be even lower than 30% of overall team damage, Alhaitham deals around 60-70k per mirror for 30-35% of overall damage per rotation, shi take my ahh, maybe ur Kuki is lvl 60 or sum and you don't deal good dmg with hyperblooms making your Alhaitham do most of the job.
Heres my opinion on the rankings: Ranked too high: clorinde (definitely should not be TWO tiers above keqing), sigewinne, faruzan, yelan (basically on par with c6 xingqiu, considering what they both bring to the table) Ranked too low: tighnari, beidou, layla, rosaria, diona, baizhu (i think he should be above the little anemo chunk in T1) Either way, its a really well thought out tier list! But, I just wish some of the less popular characters could actually be seen for their full potential
bro clorinde dmg is insane people just seeing her dmg per screenshot but her atks are way frequent then any dps . for example when arle does 1 basic clorinde can do 2 to 3 skill dmg.
I agree with some comments here, your clorinde rank is so biased, and Beidou/Tighnari being lower than Sigwinne is criminal. Xiao/ Wanderer imo require a high investment team, if provided to Ayaka as well then she surprasses both, and this is coming from an Ayaka hater (for her personality). Her trial character in imaginarium theater while it was still with mid build, i still preferred her over the trash wanderer and Xiao they gave us.
If you gave both xiao and Ayaka high investment, in their best teams, Ayaka would not outperform xiao 💀💀 xiao premium is currently one of the best teams in the game whereas freeze will probably never be meta again
I use Arlecchino Yae as well. They both do a ton of damage together especially with Chevreuse. Arlecchino needing 5 seconds before you start doing dps stuff is a good window time to set up Yae's turrets and it's long enough for it to last til you clear the domain.
@@wilburforce8046 speedrun against paralyzed bosses isn't the only valid parameter to evaluate a character's efiency. Alhaitham's teams are better, more flexible and can face almost every challenge.
I know you addressed the bias but raiden in T1 is tough. Even with her C2 she loses to most of the units in that same tier using her best teams, let alone C0.
@@hj-yj5yo she’s easily replaceable in Nilou team (that works like once in a blue moon) and mono hydro is a very niche team that can also work without her. I just can’t justify her being almost at the top of the tier list because of these 2. And freeze is deadge. Her value is just so low, like of course you can use her in a flex slot but most teams don’t have that flex slot And even her healing is not that comfortable to use outside of freeze teams because enemies are very quick and constantly move TTDS is useless in her best teams outside of again dead freeze. She’s not even that much better than Sigewinne tbh. I know some people aren’t ready to hear that because they stuck in 3.X era when she had her glow up and think she is still at her peak when in fact we have so many hydro options that she just has very little to offer compared to them

Only issue i see with the list is xiangling cannot be placed under tier 0.5 at most, many arguments can be made for tier 0 with highly invested artifacts. But i do hope the pyro archon puts her reign to a close lol.
Just going to correct this. Chiori does quite a large amount more damage than Yelan. The current ceiling for sub dps is Forward vape Furina, then XL (vape only). Followed by Emilie and then Chiori. After that is Yae and Fischl. Yelan and XQ actually average really low damage unless you dedicate the entire team to them doing damage. In most teams they won't even break 200k DPR.
if anything, XQ is a bit more useful for things like pyro lectors, because his hydro app is just superior to every off field hydro. and if it's dmg that's the problem.. it's not a problem lol. the utility matters more due to the abyss gimmicks.
I'm sitting around here waiting for Emilie so I can run Arle, Zhongli, Chiori, Emilie. I'm hoping it plays as braindead as it sounds. Not a lot of buffing, just pure damage numbers even on the off-field dps.
People will roast you on Sigwienne because they never even gave her a chance. I like Kokomi and her versatility more but Sigewinne is an excellent Furina driver, the problem is that's her only team.
I'm starting to feel people are biased against chibi characters. Nahida is an exception because she is too obviously broken, but Klee has been so underrated all the time and now people don't see any value in Siggy.
I see a lot of you who thinks clorinde is a mediocre character, I personally disagree with it. I don't know where or who you got the impression from, but she's far from being a mediocre character. If you want to say compare to the likes of neuvillette and arlecchino she's mediocre, then pretty much everyone else is also mediocre 💀 If you're saying she's mediocre because she's not better than alhaitham or keqing, then hell no. Who the hell said that 💀 First of all, I think you got the impression that she isn't better than alhaitham and only slightly better than keqing from the excel sheets under specific scenarios. Namely comparing dps in hyperbloom alhaitham and aggravate keqing. But the thing is, clorinde has way more teams than that She isn't a character that pretty much only have 1 team to fit in, she works in taser and overload, heck even mono electro as well. And all these team her dps is about the same. "Huh? Doesn't that make her worse??" No, it means that some characters dps in their best team is the same level as her on every team that she can fit. For example, keqing in aggravate can compare with clorinde, but she can't if she's in taser, overload, mono electro. You see what I mean now? Second, she heals herself. Even alhaitham & keqing couldn't do that. "Just bring a healer you dumbass" Well you see, being able to do it yourself is better than not being able to do it at all. Well yes, you'd still die if you couldn't dodge for shit, but having self healing makes it so that you have more rooms to play around with not having healer in your team Combined her self healing with how she doesn't rely on reactions that much, makes her a self sufficient character. "Imagine calling a character with 7.5s downtime a self sufficient character 💀" Well her 7.5s downtime doesn't make her a team reliant character. A better example of being team reliant would be raiden shogun. She needs a team to build resolve stacks for her and she couldn't do that all by herself. Clorinde however needs a team to fill the downtime and that's pretty much it. You see the difference? Plus if you do actually play clorinde you'd realize that the downtime really isn't an issue at all because you'd barely notice it due to burst animations, swapping, moving around etc etc Ok, she's a self sufficient character. So? What's my point? Does that make her good? Yes, absolutely. Being more self sufficient means that you can easily get away with not having much unit to pair with, and not having the best team. Especially in the early game. On top of that it means she's more favorable in scenarios that favors the self sufficient characters, like imaginarium theater for example. If you don't think imaginarium theater favors self sufficient character ask yourself this: Would you prefer having clorinde on your team or keqing on your team in imaginarium theater? The same can be said if you swap keqing with alhaitham if you ask me Tldr she definitely isn't a "slightly better keqing" or worse than alhaitham as some people sell her to be. She's way better than that. More self sufficient, more flexible, more team choice etc etc. So she's definitely far from being mediocre, unless like I said you compare her to the likes of neuvillette and arlecchino
can i be real for a second... i know that you're a raiden main (or at least were pre-clorinde) and i too am a raiden main (and simp). and i feel like you undervalue raiden hyperbloom a bit because the raiden you know and love is a dps and i understand that 100% like i don't like it when people say she's better build for hyperbloom than damage lol. i don't play raiden hyperbloom but i know that a lot of people do so it's kind of funny/strange to me how quickly you gloss over it and don't even really factor it in to your placement (which i agree with btw). i just feel like she can do the job of hyperblooming as well as kuki, which is maybe influenced by my lack of some characters/cons (don't have nahida yet so i run yaoyao in hyperbloom and thus already have a healer; don't have kuki c2 so raiden's uptime would be way better). even with those things though people still prefer to use raiden for the larger range, longer uptime, burst dmg, and battery if they use her burst. idk why i'm writing an essay basically advocating for raiden hyperbloom lmao because as i said, whenever people say she's better as a hyperbloom trigger or support than dps i'm like grrrr. but i guess it's just because i don't think your lack of consideration of her hyperbloom build and playstyle is actually unbiased. but like as a raiden main i get it. however, genuinely asking, have you tested raiden in hyperbloom with the same amount of thoroughness and open-mindedness that you do in your testing for all the characters? and then compared her teams' performances with kuki's? all that said this is a really great video and i can tell how much time and effort went into it!!! and the same goes for all your videos :)
differring opinions: Tier 1.5 Never before have I even considered the Furina, Xiangling, Bennett trio for Ganyu. I always use her with Zhongli, Xiangling/Kazuha, Bennett as a team, depending on wether it's single target, or I need CC. Well, Kazuha usually works better, sometimes if I can circle impact properly, even for single target. The one time I tried Furina with Ganyu, I was pretty happy with everything freezing over, it was nice and easy to kill stuff, but it can't freeze bosses, so it's kinda useless in boss rooms, and without a good healer on the team, Furina doesn't add as much as she could, meaning I have to put a good healer on the same team as her if I want her numbers to pop off, and who'dI put there? Xianyun? Jean? Bennett? Those 3 are my only real options. Maybe Diona or Charlotte, but I don't think Dionas healings 3 ticks or so would work too well for Furina fanfair stacking. Melt Ganyu, with the traditional Zhongli team mentioned above still kills everything nicely. I'd definietly recommend her to anyone not playing with a controller. (I mean, anyone with a mouse and keyboard. Touchscreen is even worse than a controller) Chiori seems to me like Albedo 2.0 for Navia teams, because no constructs. kind of a disappointment really, I was expecting her to be a great Navia support when she was announced. I was wrong. You can use Childe in Neuvillette hypercarry. For his passive. He won't even hit the field. Just give Neuvillette that 1 level bonus for his crowned blastoise cannon. It might just be me being really bad with Gaming, but what the hell is he doing that high? He's like a worse budget Diluc in my opinion... Diluc is WAY better than Gaming as far as i can see. For instance, Diluc doesn't have to rely on plunge attacks to deal decent damage. Gaming does. And plunge is f*cking shitty as far as gameplay goes... Xianyun version does hit hard, but it won't make it more enjoyable than Liyue's pogostickboy, who's probably the 3rd oldest Genshin character that I don't have, and the oldest I don't mind not having, who I won't even ever pull for. Wriothesley? best Cryo? laughable. He's a disappointment, is what he is. Like Mika, total regret. His fighting style looks good, similar to Heizou, which was a big boon when he was released, but it feels very damn clunky at best, again, similarly to Heizou. I'd consider a low end tier 2, or even tier 3 for him :/ Than again, you put Mika in tier 2 for some reason, who's more like bottom of tier 5, because he's not even on the best team of the 1 character he was meant to support, (at least based on the numbers I personally managed with my Eula,) so meh... you have some interesting opinions about some characters. While I agree that Sucrose is great, especially her character design, I didn't even raise her to 90. Yet. I had better options to level up. Including 7 other 4 star units. As great as she is, she's been powercrept by both Venti and Kazuha when it comes to CC, and that's her main functionality. Well, there's also VV shred, but all 3 does that. Tier 1 Xiao... yeah well, as you said too, plunge is cringe, and shitty gameplay. I'd much rather use Wanderer for anemo damage. My C6 Faruzan and my Wanderer work pretty well together, even if I hardly ever use him, so my rotations probably suck, as I have no practice on those teams. Hu Tao has been evading me on all of her banners consistently. So much in fact, that I gave up on her after farming together all the boss materials for her. I'll just go for Yoimiya or Arlechino instead. Heck, if Arlecchino and Yoimiya weren't waifu material, maybe even Lyney would be an option for me. I pre-farmed the boss materials for all of them except Arlecchino back in the day. My Gaming kinda ate the materials prefarmed for Lyney though. Raiden: fun trick, you can use her + 1 more on field carry who relies on burst simultaniously on the same team, using the 2 onfielders one after another, because Raiden refills the energy for the other one too. She can also function as a great Hyperbloom trigger. She's a very versatyle character. Recommended, must pull category. Navia is one of my most comfortable teams, Navia+Zhongli+Xiangling+Bennett. I can facetank anything with all the crystalize shields and the Zhongli shield. Really good unit. I'dnever disgrace her with using her in plunge though. Xiangling is the real pyro archon. Deal with it. Definietly must raise to C4 or above, and build her properly. As good as Shinobu is, she takes her own HP to run her healing circle, making her a glasscannon. I'd generally not use her for any teams that don't have a lot of healing for off-field units. Fischl C6 is insane. on C5, I'd pick C0 Yae Miko over her any day. That C6 makes her insanely powerful for characters that have a high attack speed and use normal attacks. Nilou's a redhead waifu, that's totally pullworthy. My one issue is, that I really don't like dendro teams, and I only use hyperbloom for fast easy abyss clears. I don't use dendro for anything else. Chevreuse is a great buffer, but her healing is pretty mediocre sadly. Just put her on a team with Arlecchino and C6 Fischl, done. Tier 0 Furina: Yeah, We know she's great. But I'd say her constellations can't take top spot as she does as a character. I think the best C2 still goes to Raiden, and the best C1 to Bennett. But hey, She's pretty close on both fronts.
C2 raiden is just a normal con for fontaine units and her c1 is way weaker. Not sure if you have cons on your furina but her c2 is truly absurd and c1 is also good.

Well, with a proper HP focused build at least, if you have a team that can gain a crapton of stacks fast, like Neuvillette. That 140% looks much nicer than the 14.0% that I found in the first description of that constellation. This also means that there's actually a point to that first half of the C2, unlike what it seemed at first. Damn, this makes her buffing insane... Difference is, this is not going to be seen as much on her personal damage (25-30% or so) but on her buffing ability; while Raiden's C2 shows on her own damage output as a huge bonus. What was the number that people said when She came out? 60% bonus?
@@Wortigon2000Raiden C2 has fallen off. Her damage at C0 is mediocre and C2 just makes it serviceable. Furina's C2 more than triples her fanfare generation on top of the 140% HP increase after you reach max stacks. The fanfare generation basically allows you to almost instantly gain full stacks with even a mediocre healer, allowing for longer buff uptime and the use of more offensive healers like bennet without any of the downsides. And no, Raiden C2 ignores enemy defense by 60%. It's not a 60% dmg increase, but about 40%.
Eh, I prefer Ganyu, XL, Kazuha, Bennett (and actually using Ganyu's burst in this team). I think you undervalue Sucrose's buffing capabilities. Other than VV shred... C6 20% dmg bonus buff may be a bit clunky to get in some teams, but EM buffing is great where it works and she's a catalyst, so you can give her TTDS if your team benefits from %Atk buff (especially if it's an Atk scaling hypercarry team), Hakushin in Taser/Aggravate teams, Sac for more EM (+ one more skill use, so a bit better grouping), Wandering Evenstar if your team benefits from %Atk buff on more than 1 character (and also a bit more EM). More or less (after you discovered how broken C2 Furina is 🤣) agree with the rest (except the Dendro teams take; this is entirely subjective, but I am the exact opposite - I hate (double/fast Hydro) Hyperbloom, but love most of the other Dendro teams 😂).
@@doug3454 I still consider Sucrose one of the best 4 star units, I'm just saying that Kazuha is basically Sucrose on steroids, while Venti does the main aspect of what Sucrose was for back in the day (grouping) better than her. Her buffing is in fact way better than Venti, as Venti doesn't buff the team. That said, my anemo character roster has enough level 90 units, not sure about leveling up Sucrose there as well. I mean, Xianyun, Kazuha, Venti, Wanderer, Jean already all at 90, Sucrose at 81, to raise her slightly higher on the character list than the fodder characters (characters I never use, or simply not use anymore) I keep at 80/90, As for the dendro team take, the part I disliked about it was how overpowered dendro was when it was first released. Dendro-based teams wastly overpowered the rest of the options on similar investment levels. Hyperbloom was simply something I put together as a way to make my Neuvillette pop up more numbers while beating stuff up with him. Still, he's really good in tazer too. So swapping out Nahida for an anemo unit, like Xianyun/Jean who both work really well with Furina could be an option, Kazuha/Venti are options, as Neuvillette can heal himself, no need for a healer oh his teams, etc.
i seriously don't understand how faruzan is better than sucrose when she can only buff one element,yes the buff faruzan gives is really good but at the samw time she can be used only with xiao wanderer and heizou while sucrose c6 gives elemental mastery to the whole team,with c1 she can act as a battery,she can cc and at c6 she gives 20% elemental damage based on what element her burst is infused
It's because Sucrose isn't vital to any specific team comp. She's great, but not vital or necessary and so she doesn't get that bump. There's other ways to VV or buff EM or deal with crowd control.

Nahida is really good but locked in dendro teams(not a problem since dendro is THE meta) and sucrose is better than kazuha in Childe, Hu Tao and aggravate team. But let's say that you don't have kazuha and you need VV you can still use sucrose since she can hold ttds and still cc a bit
@@mactartaglia It's just that Childe works fine with Kazuha (even if double swirl is more jank) and Hu Tao doesn't even necessarly need VV... but the anemo hypercarry teams basically do not work at all without Faruzan. She's non-negotiable. So she got grouped with the anemo boys that are in lockstep with her. Meanwhile Sucrose is being evaluated on the whole but she's just not as critical to any comp. She has role consolidation and good driving potential which puts her in the upper tiers but you can always but Instructors on someone if you need an EM buff, you know?
Im with you with Clorinde, she over performs vs her sheet data in practice. If its just because she is consistent thats fine, thats a strength in its own right its why so many still use Zhongli despite "damage loss" meme

Very good tier list. I doubt you're xiao is well built if he's performing worse than navia plunge she does mathematically less dps. Are you timing you're collision plunges and normal cancels. Xiao's build can also be deceiving because he needs a lot more attack percent and crit than you would expect and well built faruzan support. Death match is worse than blackcliff and pjws is worse than homa. So actually now that I think about it most people will probably get faster clears with navia if they're not xiao experts. I really love your tierlist. Actually, the first one video I watched on this channel was a tierlist. I don't remember which one but it was a year ago. Ever since then, I have started following this channel. The thing I like the most about the guides are that you talk about them in an f2p point of view, which I find very rarely. Anyways, thanks for the guides always . Oops, i forgot about the tacter. Actually, i agree with most of them, but one , only one ayaka. I know cryo as an element is not in good state as of current abyss, but i think she belongs in t1. It's fine even at the bottom because she can do some crazy damage when enemies are grouped correctly. I hope future characters might help deal with this.

Benny, Xiang Ling, Xingqui(water sword boy) and Rosaria. Just don’t know a great set to run on her so i might give her the cryo VV equivalent (bliz strayer or whatever)
I mean, she's not "meta", but I think everyone knows she works if properly built. I got my first abyss clear with her, Kokomi, Furina, and Wriothesley, last year.
Sure, she was the weakest link in the team, but she contributed to it, and synergized really well with Kokomi's jellyfish. You can absolutely make her work, even if she's not the "optimal" choice.
I found her fun to play with.

@@ElaelanieWish that was the case, but when the dark-skinned cast is Kaeya, Xinyan, Candace, Cyno, Dehya, and Sethos, it’s kinda hard to argue otherwise. Cyno is the best on the list by a far margin and even then has some pretty glaring gameplay issues. Even with Maulani and Kachina (who arent really even that dark but are more so than the rest of the characters) they’re projected to not be all that good, with Maulani getting new nerfs with each beta update.

Clorinde and Keqing being an entire tier away from each other is wrong. In reality Clorinde is only a little better then Keqing. (I take this back , Clorinde simply being self sustaining allows her to be played comfortably with a wider range of units on top of that her damage is just better)
I love Keqing don't get me wrong, but both at C0 Clorinde is just clearly better. She is argualy a marginally better driver, has better self sustain, works better with Furina (the best character/buffer in game) and has an actually viable Overload team.
They do not belong in the same tier, when both are at C0
Yeah clorinde isn’t as good as jello points her out to be, especially since jello value comfort so much when she’s somewhat hard to play but doesn’t do as much as damage as Alhaitham, Hu tao and Lyney to compensate.

yeah I honestly agree. As someone who has fully built Diluc and Yae Miko (+ I pulled Xianyun and she's built too) I honestly prefer Yae Miko to Diluc (and I'm a Diluc simp, mkay) because she fits into so many teams (I prefer her to Fischl too) and to play Diluc plunge I have to get out of my way to play that team specifically and it was usually only for the Abyss right after Xianyun was released and after that I don't use Diluc plunge at all. But Yae Miko? Hell yes, I use her team in Abyss always, honestly (Yae Miko, Nahida, Furina, Kokomi).
Klee I had since 1.6, and while I admit I haven't build her properly, she just feels clunky and slow to play, so she's benched. Also, I dislike the small/child models, especially in dps characters.
I also personally didn't like Clorinde's playstyle, and I much prefer Raiden (had her since her release), so I personally think Clorinde should be lower on the tier list if I were to make it; for sure behind Yae Miko and Raiden; seriously, justice for my electro girlies

That Clorinde ranking is so biased, even if she works with c6 chevreuse it's still not better than Raiden-chevreuse teams (like raiden, chevreuse, xiangling, bennett) IMHO. Getting fast clears also doesn't justify her place, remember when we all overestimated Nilou because hoyo made the abyss tailored for her.
I feel like the raiden is more of a screanshot team than an actual like good dps team because clorinde shots so fast and triggers alot of overlods with both fishle and Thoma makes her better overall
And I don't think this abyss is realy a clorinde designed the blessing doesn't even work for her and the abyss that released with nilou with easy asf ans all aoe while this is considered one of the hardest abyses we ever got and have all the types of contents you will face both st and aoe and if she clears fast in this hell of an abyss an the previous one she will definitely clear fast in any abyss but honestly I agree in this being biased I think he should put her next to navia not better than alhatiam
@@faresali178 you're forgetting the 7 secs after Initial burst slash for Raiden. With chev and Bennet in team she does 250k+ burst and 25k normal slash and 45-50k charged which hits twice. You can pull off 4 N3C1 combos or 6N1C1 combos
A few things that people didn't see regarding clorinde vs shogun is that clorinde is skill reliant and shogun is burst reliant. That alone is enough to make a difference because it makes clorinde way more flexible in the battlefield compared to shogun
Also, since you are comparing them in overload team I guess I'll mention it. That clorinde can easily catch up to the enemies that are knocked away by overload, which shogun tend to struggle with
One last thing is that clorinde can heal herself, which shogun cannot do. While yes, shogun has teamwide utility that no other can do, but combined with how clorinde doesn't rely on reactions a lot and her self healing, it makes her a much more self sufficient character
Clorinde and shogun I think is a more fair comparison (at least compare to alhaitham and keqing). Not saying either of them are better than the other, but I think it's safe to say they serve different purposes
@@leoniichan1229 agree but a few things, while clorinde is skill reliant, burst is never really a problem for raiden. If you have 260+ er no matter how you play you'll always get your burst. Yeah her burst duration is 7 sec with 18 sec cooldown. While clorinde has 7.5 sec duration of skill with 16 sec cooldown. But I think the hyperarmour you get for raiden can justify the 2 secs. Range is a huge advantage for clorinde. But enemies in abyss rarely get thrown by overload in higher floors. And Raiden also gets energy for your entire team which makes characters with high burst cost like xiangling and xinqiu very much viable in her team. I don't really care for the Raiden vs Clorinde debate. I've been simping for Raiden since release and I have her C3R1. I also have clorinde but at c0. Different teams for them. I clear everything within 20-30 secs using Raiden Hyper-overload so yeah. Clorinde is definitely a great unit, damage wise better than raiden at c0 but utility wise Raiden is still better. So they are on the same level to me.
@@chonkhampter The problem with burst reliant is that if you're in scenarios where your source of energy is limited (like facing against energy draining enemies or enemies that drops 0 particles etc), it tends to make the character more inflexible. That's the advantage of being skill reliant
And yeah, to me they are about the same level if we don't look at constellations. They serve different purposes and that's it
People in the comments really didn't watch the video, Jello says multiple times that the rankings in the same tier don't matter as much, it's not a precise order

My tighnari is 10/5/8 but I don’t find him good at all. His damage is just awful in comparison to my lyney. He is triple crowned to be fair, but even then I don’t think he comes even cold to him. I think his main issue is that his rotations are so quick that often there are just no characters that have that short of cooldowns to fit with him. I use him with nahida fischl and a flex.

He's really good in ST with Nahida and Miko, but that's about it. He feels pretty bad in AoE whenever I try him... then I switch to and Alhaitham or even Keqing team and it feels like night and day.
- I’d put Tignari & Shenhe a tier up.
- Sigewinne a tier down.
- Clorinde is rated up too high. She could go below within the T1 section. There is no way she is above Alhaitham & Raiden.
- Baizhu could go way up within T1 section.
- Klee & Diluc can stay in T1.5, but could go a bit lower.
- Beidou, Heizou, Diona & Rosaria could go up a bit within T2 section.
- I would also put Kazuha & Nahida above Yelan & Neuvillette.
Clorinde is kinda cracked due to the rest of the cast. Raiden's teams are easy to build and very flexible but they don't peak very high, and her Chevy teams tend to be pretty similar to Clorinde's though Clorinde also lets you use national on the other side since she isn't using Ben/XL. Al Haitham only performs exceptionally with premium, T0 units that nobody is arguing about such as Nahida, Yelan and Furina, otherwise he falls below or equals Clorinde's teams. Clorinde performs similarly to Al haitham in spread/aggravate but with 4 star only teams (Kiwawa C0 but C4 is preferable, C6 makes her a Nahida alternative), she has much more flexible overload teams and the shorter rotations/skill reliance make her actual performance better than Raiden, and when it comes to hyper/quickbloom she's about the same as al haitham but marginally less comfortable. She also performs pretty okay in taser etc (though Raiden double hydro taser is better, it is also extremely premium) and she can actually utilise Mona instead of Furina and get roughly the same dps performance due to her short rotations, which is crazy. She has annoyance in not being able to switch out but otherwise she's very comparable to Al Haitham, and her performance is usually enough to justify a shielder and get Raiden's interrupt resist, and she synergises really well with shielders such that they're usually DPS equivalences (Kiwawa versus Nahida is actually about the same, Thoma versus XL is about the same etc) which, again, is crazy.
She is either toe-to-toe, or a slightly less comfortable equivalent, or only marginally behind those 2, in most of their ideal situations, whilst a lot more flexible than either. If you value synergy with shielders for comfort, flexibility, or some degree of vertical investment, like Jello does, it's very hard to argue Clorinde isn't at least Al Haitham's equivalent.

Yelan is better than Xingqiu. Xingqiu provides, 1 more hydro app and 2, weak shields and heals. Yelan provides more damage and an additional dmg buff to the team. She's also really good with Furina. The only time Xingqiu is still best is for Hyperbloom.
The jump for Wrio c0 to c1 feels so good that he is now my best single target carry in the game. Rating him 1.5 at C0 makes sense and he still is a ton of fun. I am basically pulling Emilie c0R1 for him in burnmelt.
Nice tier list! Only thing that had me go huh is your explanation of Sigewinne’s placement. If her only good team is mono hydro, which few people seem to play, and even there she’s only a slight upgrade over Kokomi, then that makes her a bad excuse for a 5* unit to me. If her element doesn’t matter (and her element is hydro!), then that should grant her a spot somewhere way down the list. No matter how comfy her healing is.

I think my biggest disagreement is Raiden and Kuki under Fischl and Chlorinde. Supports like them and in Raiden's case that can also dish out solid damage is overall more valuable than any dps those 2 can dish out. They definitely qualify on team flexibility and ease of build and use. Especially thanks to dendro even a C0 Raiden can be built purely on EM and perform at a high level. I would also put Koko and Baiizhu ahead of the anemo quad. Other than those changes I can't disagree too much with the list. I might consider Kazuha and Nahida ahead of Nuevillette but I can't really disagree with that too much.

About Kokomi, I *love* playing Kokomi Hyperbloom. Kokomi+XQ together have infinite interrupt resist (or feels like it) + Nahida and Raiden; it was my go to team for a long time for braindead 36☆ clears.
That's my abyss team, except I use Furina instead of Xingqiu 😌. No idea if that team is recommendable, or highly regarded, I just use it cause I'm a Kokomi main, and it works well for her 💅.

I've seen some disrespect to Bennett in reddit and youtube comments, saying that he's fallen off... glad I'm not the only one that still believe he's broken.
It is true he needs a different build to be able to work with Furina. I'm running Maiden Beloved full HP and ER and he works great.
I would imagine the Pyro Archon being similar to Bennett but better: can heal well without under 70% HP requirement, can buff without circle impact (so like Furina), can deal higher damage and from off-field, and do all of those 3 with her Elemental Skill instead of Burst (no need energy). If this happens, Pyro Archon will join the T0 lineup and Bennett will move down to T1.

@@verzetta Honestly I see a lot of ways the Archon could be. But indeed, healing, buffs and off-field damage are the main characteristics that can be combined in all sorts of ways. But I don't know... knowing HoyoV, it could still be another on-field Pyro DPS.
If the Archon is indeed an ATK buffer, it's possible they make it such that it doesn't stack with Bennett. So basically you'd have Bennett for both sides, but not a team with two Bennetts.
I just run Noblesse with HP/HP/HB now no matter if I use him with Furina or not

Great list. One of my only gripes is that xiangling being anywhere outside of t0 is a wild take imo. Even with the ER needs, her aoe pyro application is an auto win against most bosses (hydro tulpa, robot dancers, lector boss, chicken grass, ice cube, electro unicorn, etc) and other enemies whose shields are a huge problem. Like you said, there are characters who do plenty of comparable damage now but there isnt a character who comes close to her pyro application at the moment
I think thats probably why shes in the tier below, because what you said, no one does what xiangling does. If you were to isolate her kit alone, without considering that shes the only good off field pyro applier at the moment, you could probably notice that her kit is not all that good enough to be in the T0 tier, but then again, she is still so high up in the tier list because shes the only one of her respective role. I think that people have realised that it isnt really Xiangling herself thats super meta, but the role she has in a team, great off field pyro

I'm so sick of her (or more accurately, so sick of not having even a half-decent alternative to XL), but I kinda have to agree - when (or at this point, if) we do get those alternatives, she can go lower.
Though Klee does apply even more Pyro than XL, but she needs to be on-field for that, so the point stands.
As the best hyperbloom driver, Alhaitham is quite low. Pretty sure he is T0 imo. Even TGS put him below Neuv, higher than Arle, which I agree.
TGS said that it's more for a f2p list and i do think Arle has a better kit than Al and slightly better but they are pretty interchangable honestlym

Chasca’s optimal rotation needs five hits of every type. Also, I think an off-field Benny could really help her. The tier list isnt 'unbiased' as stated in the title anyway. I feel like Jello does not use Cryo characters enough to know how to rate them. I have been using Shenhe on Wriothesley melt team with Bennett and Kazuha, as well as Chongyun plunge team with Furina and Xianyun, and I can 9 star abyss consistently every cycle with minutes to spare. Yes Furina is better than Shenhe. However, a score of 10 is higher than a score of 8 doesnt mean 8 is a bad score
Man I cannot WAIT to get C6 Chevy. I have C2 right now I believe and I’m definitely pulling for cons when she re-runs. I end up using her a lot even at C2! I cannot wait to see what C6 is like. Full team heals and massive dmg boosts. Ughhhh I wanna try out a C6 Chevy so bad.

I myself am a grown up and I kinda like hot and cool animated characters too lol. Tho I mostly prefer cool over hot. Is it weird? Yeah kinda. But I'm not at that level to buy figurines or posters, body pillows, or other merch related to them. I'm a sane person. But you can't change what you like that easily.

My favorite Ganyu team at the moment is Furina/Venti/Charlotte, although I do love burn melt Ganyu as well. The Ganyu/Venti combo is just so good in AoE, especially with smaller enemies. Then add Furina and Charlotte for freeze and buffing and it clears quicker than my Alhaitham teams most of the time. The bonus is that it doesn’t even require consistent Ganyu charged shots since most of the damage is from her burst.
Definitely worth a try!
I should probably add that Ganyu was my first 5 star DPS and I’ve had her for much longer than my other characters, so I guess you can take it with a grain of salt when I say that team does more damage than my Alhaitham teams, since my Ganyu build is much better than his.

Yep, I don’t have Charlotte since Hoyo refuses to put her on any banners so I use Ganyu Kokomi Venti Layla. I can’t wait to try out a Furina version but even my current one works very well and has been my over world and floor 9 through 11 team for nearly a year now ever since I got Venti.

She has some of the best synergy with furina to the point that clorinde furina teams do not need a healer
She is the best aggravate dps and idk how ppl say keqing is anywhere near her
She is great in overload and probably the 2nd best overload dps after arle (raiden is up there too)
2nd/3rd best c0 taser dps after neuv and ayato
She has range which i feel is an underrated part of her kit (same with her dash ability to dodge)
Her short field time means she is great with people who's buffs dont last insanely long without being refreshed (e.g. kazuzu and baizhu)
She is also a very solid hyperbloom trigger, 4th best under raiden, kuki and maybe cyno imo
She works in every electro team even superbloom
I wouldn't go as far to say shes better than haitham but there are definitely arguments to be made

In addition to that Hu Tao is straight up completely outclassed by Arlecchino, while the other 4 all have their strong points. And Wrio, Ayaka and Childe completely destroy Hu Tao in AOE damage and are just slightly behind her in single target.
Also as much as I hate her, but Sucrose is just a minimal downgrade to Kazuha, which makes her still one of the best supports in the game.

I am still a little perplexed why Jello's take on Navia Plunge. Why is she preferreed over Hu Tao and Xiao as well as why Navia plunge is the "go to" team for Navia.

As for the first, i still think Xiao is the most optimal out of the 3 (XXFF is probably the only team that can compete with Neuvillette in AoE), and Navia is arguably competitive with Hu Tao depending on the situation (high HP opponents with few or no waves prefers Navia due to frontload, opponents with many waves or high HP opponent where you don't have to rush prefers Hu Tao due to consistent plunges).

So the tiers are basically:
0 - Best of the best
1 - Consistently strong options
1.5 - Great but replaceable by or need to be paired with the strongest options
2 - Good but replaceable by or need to be paired with somewhat better options
3 - Passable but there are clearly better options
4 - Passable but there are clearly much better options
5 - Any other option will be better
I luckily got C6 Chevreuse when I was pulling for Raiden and Yoimiya, and I didn't care much at the time because I didn't know how strong she is.
I’m personally a big fan of Ganyu quickswap melt with Kazuha Xiangling Bennett. No charge, just skill and burst with elegy. Personally, it’s my go to team for mobs when freeze is no good.
I tried that exact team for triple Kenki speedrunning in the previous abyss for the first time and it was really good, I was actually quite surprised by her Melted burst damage (though I do use some charged shots here and there).

Completely agree with your reasoning to keep him out of tier 0, but I will say he's ridiculously easy to build.

I personally think casuals overrate him and hardcore players underrate him. I would probably put him in T2, but I am someone who generally doesn't value comfort (at least in terms of shielding) too much + to me he is very much replaceable by Layla/Thoma/Kirara in almost all teams I play (for the rare cases in which I actually need a shield).
Though if I weighted comfort higher, I'd put him T1.

I appreciate how you added comfort as a consideration for some of your picks instead of making everything about damage. With that said, though, I think it’s for that reason that I argue Xingqiu deserves to be at least bottom of T0. The interruption resistance provided by Rain Swords, as you said, is invaluable for some of the top DPS units, and while C6 is a massive increase to his damage, his C2 with the Hydro Res% shred is no slouch either. However, what brings him up is how accessible he is. Not necessarily in terms of building him, but how easier it can be to get him compared to other top units. As a Liyue 4 star who debuted in 1.0, you’re guaranteed a copy of him from Lantern Rite, plus twice a year from Paimon’s Bargains.
But the first 3 characters on T0 is hydro, and Xing is now needed as much he was before Fontaine.
Now we can go fine without him. And for damage Yelan bring way more

I totally agree with Ayaka and Ganyu placements, its a shame freeze has been shit cuz hoyo refuses to make a good abyss for freeze and way to mobile and high damaging bosses for ganyu/zong to tank, because i rlly think Ganyu and Ayaka are still strong carries.
I think you should use this list as reference for future characters. When you make a guide, just say where there character would place in the list. That way, you will update it along the way and we will know how new characters fare compared to the rest of the cast. Keep up the good work !

I'd place Arle a tier below personally. Her dmg is really not that different comapred to other top dps characters and the reasoning behind having neuvilette in T0 was always that he brought so much ease of use and comfort while still dealing good aoe dmg from a distance but still not the best at it.
People really overrate her and I think it's a case of dmg per screenshot, they see big initial numbers but don't consider that you're only doing 4 or 5 n3 combos of which 33% will vape and give you probably the best front loaded dmg but it also falls of really quickly.
Unlike neuvillete she's also squishy, has survivability issues, wants zl for comfort but dmg suffers, less aoe and dependent on bennets circle which is enough of reasons to not put her in T0 imo.

XL was a HUGE boon to my account and she made 36 starring much more possible as I was moving into the end game. I have C4 now, and while it's objectively more so it's better, I don't think it's as necessary as people say. She's SO powerful, even without it

My favorite Raiden team too. Even if Raiden goes for usual Crit-oriented build, still good because Nahida+Baizhu boosts her HB dmg, cannot be interrupted, and Baizhu backup with a bit of interrupt res during support setup.

Warms my heart to see Klee and Sigewinne get some respect here, both are way too overhated/underrated.
I'm honestly convinced the only reason they get so much hate is people just not using them at all. Their trial stages are kinda awful, so I imagine a lot of people that never pulled either are biased because of them. Still love people pointing out C6 Sigewinne's DPS being about equal to C0 Neuvillette as a negative, as if one of the best healers being comparable to a T0 DPS is bad somehow.

I did find Klee too clunky when I tried her in reverse Vape, but as soon as I tried mono-Pyro, she bacame my favorite Pyro on-fielder and then only got better with Furina (Arlecchino came really close, but I still enjoy Klee's playstyle more). I got her C1 on the last regular character banner and then C2 on the chronicled banner and (despite losing 50/50 to Diluc for the 69th time) I have no regrets - I can now sometimes even use her as a support.
My C4R1 Siggy dps goes brrrrr (legit fastest out of any team I have and tried in current F12-1-1), while my cheap C0 Recurve Bow Siggy on my alt account is at least pretty good on Furina/Yelan mono-Hydro; the team feels much better to play than with Kokomi + lets me play Kokomi in Nilou Bloom again.
Imagine me starting the game again and after 3 months getting Furina on her last day with my last primogems. It was so wild. Best new player free to play experience. Now I have 90 wishes ready for the fire archon. I think furina+fire archon will make an insane team combo.
Not sure about Cheveruese over Xingqui. She only has limited teams xompared to XQ.
XQ has limited teams that are good though. He mainly has a lot of mid.
C6 Chevreuse is a staple for overload. Overload without Chevreuse is not worth running. Xingqiu however is replaceable.
Chev bring Benny AND kazuha levels of buff.

But I already agree with you about Sigewinne. She heals really well with her skill, I have a Sacrificial bow so I can throw a second skill if needed (rarely, so might change her weapon for a simple Recurve Bow) and even though her buff to off field skill is limited, it's still a nice buff in a team with Nahida, Furina, Yae (all off field high DPS dmg)
Even if it's only 10 instance of damage, it's still quite powerful (and I can still use Sacrificial bow to refresh the 10 instance)
You IMMENSELY undervalue Hyperbloom Raiden. Kuki is literally only good for melee characters, while raiden procs and buffs everyone. Not to mention the fact Kuki can get one shot easily, and raiden batteries better. All while upping Ult DMG for the team, and having more than twice the skill uptime! Imaginarium theater was the first time in a LONG time, that i even used Kuki again... 🤷
I tried using Raiden as a hyperbloom trigger but ended up switching her back to DPS, i just don't find myself needing an electro trigger for both sides of the abyss. What characters do you think use Raiden better than Kuki for hyperbloom?
I do agree that she those has pros (but also a few cons - her skill doesn't proc on shielded enemies, she doesn't heal) compared to Kuki, but to me Hyperbloom Raiden always felt like a waste of a strong and fun to play on-fielder, when for the exact same purpose (and only a few slight inconveniences) you can just use a C0 4* character that's not really that great anywhere else (unfortunately). Ofc, if you enjoy playing it, great for you.

Kuki has 100% uptime at c2+, I think that's more than enough. She requires a bit better artifacts to not, as you say, get 1 shot tho. Leaving her on field for a second to absorb her first tick is often worth it, and if she heals for 3.5 - 4k per tick you're good to go. A lot of teams appreciate her healing too and the ranged proc vs. melee proc is a double edged sword. You have little control over where the proc happens with Raiden but it's predictable with Kuki, also if the enemy is off the ground Raiden literally can't hit the blooms. On the flip side if the enemy has a huge hitbox the blooms sometimes land outside of Kuki's range.
In a general tier list I think Kuki belongs slightly behind Raiden tho, and in a f2p/new player focused one Kuki is easily T0.
@@bjornnilsson2941 While you make some sound points, there's something to be said about Raidens comfort. You use her skill once and don't have to worry about it for 25 secs, she procs whether you're near the enemy or not. Her Ult can battery the team in a pinch, while also buffing your other units Ults. If Kazuha could 100% suck in all enemies, then I'd agree with her healing consolation gives her an edge. But with Nuev Hyperbloom being the strongest variant atm, range and comfort takes the lead.
I got c2 furina just because she's my favorite character, her personality, design, and voice lines are so loving and all this time I didn't know that she's so good in terms of buffing character (I'm using her as sub dps for Neuvi)😂
The problem with Chevreuse is you have to proc overload consistently and for an Electro on field team u have to use xinagling or thoma and you also need bennett with xinagling generally. So if u dont sant to use thoma u cant have another electro on the team. Exemple is Raiden Xiangling Bennett Chevreuse. If maybe pyro archon is 2 in 1 and can replace both Bennett and Xiangling we can put another electro there and the team would be really buffed imo.
im not really a fan of tierlists that put too much emphasis on "comfort" because realistically in a *meta* tierlist you would simply rate the characters on their irreplaceable and pure value on the best teams in the game. characters like shenhe, kokomi, venti, yae (to some extent) all deserve to be rated lower since nobody gets that irreplaceable value that I said earlier. theyre just a sidegrade, you really have to go out of your way to make use of them or have them giga-built to get the same value as another character.
it makes the tierlist inconsistent since you rated someone like klee purely on damage, but not taking her unfavorable playstyle into too much consideration. I wish more content creators would do that since it gives a way more fair rating instead of saying "guys i like kokomi so shes tier 1"

Comfort can be valuable in cases where it provides interruption resistance and poise (xingqiu, zhongli, raiden) which would yield higher damage in practice and is very valuable for players.
Otherwise you might as well not play the game at all and just rank characters based on their theoretical sheet dps and call it a day.
i do agree there are some bias in the tierlist, but in all honesty, klee is not the best example of being unfavorable playstyle, as there are many more not so likable playstyles, i do play klee and yea i think she definitely is a bit clunky but still very usable and fun to play is most case scenarios

I actually think the opposite about Alhaitham personally, at f2p investment Alhaitham has to be on a quickbloom team with Furina or else he can get outdamaged by other characters pretty easily. For example in his hyperbloom team with Nahida Xingqiu Kuki, replacing Alhaitham with Fischl and using Nahida on-field is generally better for overall damage while Fischl also deals ~9% more damage than Alhaitham. But if you ask me I have to say that Alhaitham's personal damage wasn't really that good at any point in the game, on quickbloom with Furina fine, his damage is considerable but without it his damage falls down quite surprisingly, Alhaitham's power mostly lies on his team compositions and character synergy too, as well as his AoE which is pretty nice.
Hyperbloom with Alhaitham is way better in AOE and multi waves from my experience.
I didn't seen a big difference in single target compare to double hydro.
@@Camelia437 Well the point is that his personal damage outside Furina variants is very mid and can get outclassed, it kind of reminds Rational, Raiden's power on the team is Xiangling. Anyways, I already mentioned that Alhaitham is good in AoE, multi wave too but it's not a huge upgrade, his powers are his comfiness and synergy which is very important for a dendro unit.

clorinde (definitely should not be TWO tiers above keqing), sigewinne, faruzan, yelan (basically on par with c6 xingqiu, considering what they both bring to the table)
Ranked too low:
tighnari, beidou, layla, rosaria, diona, baizhu (i think he should be above the little anemo chunk in T1)
Either way, its a really well thought out tier list! But, I just wish some of the less popular characters could actually be seen for their full potential

Xiao/ Wanderer imo require a high investment team, if provided to Ayaka as well then she surprasses both, and this is coming from an Ayaka hater (for her personality). Her trial character in imaginarium theater while it was still with mid build, i still preferred her over the trash wanderer and Xiao they gave us.
If you gave both xiao and Ayaka high investment, in their best teams, Ayaka would not outperform xiao 💀💀 xiao premium is currently one of the best teams in the game whereas freeze will probably never be meta again

I use Arlecchino Yae as well. They both do a ton of damage together especially with Chevreuse. Arlecchino needing 5 seconds before you start doing dps stuff is a good window time to set up Yae's turrets and it's long enough for it to last til you clear the domain.

And even her healing is not that comfortable to use outside of freeze teams because enemies are very quick and constantly move

Only issue i see with the list is xiangling cannot be placed under tier 0.5 at most, many arguments can be made for tier 0 with highly invested artifacts. But i do hope the pyro archon puts her reign to a close lol.
Just going to correct this. Chiori does quite a large amount more damage than Yelan. The current ceiling for sub dps is Forward vape Furina, then XL (vape only). Followed by Emilie and then Chiori. After that is Yae and Fischl. Yelan and XQ actually average really low damage unless you dedicate the entire team to them doing damage. In most teams they won't even break 200k DPR.

if anything, XQ is a bit more useful for things like pyro lectors, because his hydro app is just superior to every off field hydro. and if it's dmg that's the problem.. it's not a problem lol. the utility matters more due to the abyss gimmicks.

People will roast you on Sigwienne because they never even gave her a chance. I like Kokomi and her versatility more but Sigewinne is an excellent Furina driver, the problem is that's her only team.
I'm starting to feel people are biased against chibi characters. Nahida is an exception because she is too obviously broken, but Klee has been so underrated all the time and now people don't see any value in Siggy.
I see a lot of you who thinks clorinde is a mediocre character, I personally disagree with it. I don't know where or who you got the impression from, but she's far from being a mediocre character. If you want to say compare to the likes of neuvillette and arlecchino she's mediocre, then pretty much everyone else is also mediocre 💀 If you're saying she's mediocre because she's not better than alhaitham or keqing, then hell no. Who the hell said that 💀
First of all, I think you got the impression that she isn't better than alhaitham and only slightly better than keqing from the excel sheets under specific scenarios. Namely comparing dps in hyperbloom alhaitham and aggravate keqing. But the thing is, clorinde has way more teams than that
She isn't a character that pretty much only have 1 team to fit in, she works in taser and overload, heck even mono electro as well. And all these team her dps is about the same. "Huh? Doesn't that make her worse??" No, it means that some characters dps in their best team is the same level as her on every team that she can fit. For example, keqing in aggravate can compare with clorinde, but she can't if she's in taser, overload, mono electro. You see what I mean now?
Second, she heals herself. Even alhaitham & keqing couldn't do that. "Just bring a healer you dumbass" Well you see, being able to do it yourself is better than not being able to do it at all. Well yes, you'd still die if you couldn't dodge for shit, but having self healing makes it so that you have more rooms to play around with not having healer in your team
Combined her self healing with how she doesn't rely on reactions that much, makes her a self sufficient character. "Imagine calling a character with 7.5s downtime a self sufficient character 💀" Well her 7.5s downtime doesn't make her a team reliant character. A better example of being team reliant would be raiden shogun. She needs a team to build resolve stacks for her and she couldn't do that all by herself. Clorinde however needs a team to fill the downtime and that's pretty much it. You see the difference? Plus if you do actually play clorinde you'd realize that the downtime really isn't an issue at all because you'd barely notice it due to burst animations, swapping, moving around etc etc
Ok, she's a self sufficient character. So? What's my point? Does that make her good? Yes, absolutely. Being more self sufficient means that you can easily get away with not having much unit to pair with, and not having the best team. Especially in the early game. On top of that it means she's more favorable in scenarios that favors the self sufficient characters, like imaginarium theater for example. If you don't think imaginarium theater favors self sufficient character ask yourself this: Would you prefer having clorinde on your team or keqing on your team in imaginarium theater? The same can be said if you swap keqing with alhaitham if you ask me
Tldr she definitely isn't a "slightly better keqing" or worse than alhaitham as some people sell her to be. She's way better than that. More self sufficient, more flexible, more team choice etc etc. So she's definitely far from being mediocre, unless like I said you compare her to the likes of neuvillette and arlecchino
can i be real for a second... i know that you're a raiden main (or at least were pre-clorinde) and i too am a raiden main (and simp). and i feel like you undervalue raiden hyperbloom a bit because the raiden you know and love is a dps and i understand that 100% like i don't like it when people say she's better build for hyperbloom than damage lol. i don't play raiden hyperbloom but i know that a lot of people do so it's kind of funny/strange to me how quickly you gloss over it and don't even really factor it in to your placement (which i agree with btw). i just feel like she can do the job of hyperblooming as well as kuki, which is maybe influenced by my lack of some characters/cons (don't have nahida yet so i run yaoyao in hyperbloom and thus already have a healer; don't have kuki c2 so raiden's uptime would be way better). even with those things though people still prefer to use raiden for the larger range, longer uptime, burst dmg, and battery if they use her burst.
idk why i'm writing an essay basically advocating for raiden hyperbloom lmao because as i said, whenever people say she's better as a hyperbloom trigger or support than dps i'm like grrrr. but i guess it's just because i don't think your lack of consideration of her hyperbloom build and playstyle is actually unbiased. but like as a raiden main i get it. however, genuinely asking, have you tested raiden in hyperbloom with the same amount of thoroughness and open-mindedness that you do in your testing for all the characters? and then compared her teams' performances with kuki's?

Tier 1.5
Never before have I even considered the Furina, Xiangling, Bennett trio for Ganyu.
I always use her with Zhongli, Xiangling/Kazuha, Bennett as a team, depending on wether it's single target, or I need CC. Well, Kazuha usually works better, sometimes if I can circle impact properly, even for single target. The one time I tried Furina with Ganyu, I was pretty happy with everything freezing over, it was nice and easy to kill stuff, but it can't freeze bosses, so it's kinda useless in boss rooms, and without a good healer on the team, Furina doesn't add as much as she could, meaning I have to put a good healer on the same team as her if I want her numbers to pop off, and who'dI put there? Xianyun? Jean? Bennett? Those 3 are my only real options. Maybe Diona or Charlotte, but I don't think Dionas healings 3 ticks or so would work too well for Furina fanfair stacking.
Melt Ganyu, with the traditional Zhongli team mentioned above still kills everything nicely. I'd definietly recommend her to anyone not playing with a controller. (I mean, anyone with a mouse and keyboard. Touchscreen is even worse than a controller)
Chiori seems to me like Albedo 2.0 for Navia teams, because no constructs. kind of a disappointment really, I was expecting her to be a great Navia support when she was announced. I was wrong.
You can use Childe in Neuvillette hypercarry. For his passive. He won't even hit the field. Just give Neuvillette that 1 level bonus for his crowned blastoise cannon.
It might just be me being really bad with Gaming, but what the hell is he doing that high? He's like a worse budget Diluc in my opinion... Diluc is WAY better than Gaming as far as i can see. For instance, Diluc doesn't have to rely on plunge attacks to deal decent damage. Gaming does. And plunge is f*cking shitty as far as gameplay goes... Xianyun version does hit hard, but it won't make it more enjoyable than Liyue's pogostickboy, who's probably the 3rd oldest Genshin character that I don't have, and the oldest I don't mind not having, who I won't even ever pull for.
Wriothesley? best Cryo? laughable. He's a disappointment, is what he is. Like Mika, total regret. His fighting style looks good, similar to Heizou, which was a big boon when he was released, but it feels very damn clunky at best, again, similarly to Heizou. I'd consider a low end tier 2, or even tier 3 for him :/ Than again, you put Mika in tier 2 for some reason, who's more like bottom of tier 5, because he's not even on the best team of the 1 character he was meant to support, (at least based on the numbers I personally managed with my Eula,) so meh... you have some interesting opinions about some characters.
While I agree that Sucrose is great, especially her character design, I didn't even raise her to 90. Yet. I had better options to level up. Including 7 other 4 star units. As great as she is, she's been powercrept by both Venti and Kazuha when it comes to CC, and that's her main functionality. Well, there's also VV shred, but all 3 does that.
Tier 1
Xiao... yeah well, as you said too, plunge is cringe, and shitty gameplay. I'd much rather use Wanderer for anemo damage. My C6 Faruzan and my Wanderer work pretty well together, even if I hardly ever use him, so my rotations probably suck, as I have no practice on those teams.
Hu Tao has been evading me on all of her banners consistently. So much in fact, that I gave up on her after farming together all the boss materials for her. I'll just go for Yoimiya or Arlechino instead. Heck, if Arlecchino and Yoimiya weren't waifu material, maybe even Lyney would be an option for me. I pre-farmed the boss materials for all of them except Arlecchino back in the day. My Gaming kinda ate the materials prefarmed for Lyney though.
Raiden: fun trick, you can use her + 1 more on field carry who relies on burst simultaniously on the same team, using the 2 onfielders one after another, because Raiden refills the energy for the other one too. She can also function as a great Hyperbloom trigger. She's a very versatyle character. Recommended, must pull category.
Navia is one of my most comfortable teams, Navia+Zhongli+Xiangling+Bennett. I can facetank anything with all the crystalize shields and the Zhongli shield. Really good unit. I'dnever disgrace her with using her in plunge though.
Xiangling is the real pyro archon. Deal with it. Definietly must raise to C4 or above, and build her properly.
As good as Shinobu is, she takes her own HP to run her healing circle, making her a glasscannon. I'd generally not use her for any teams that don't have a lot of healing for off-field units.
Fischl C6 is insane. on C5, I'd pick C0 Yae Miko over her any day. That C6 makes her insanely powerful for characters that have a high attack speed and use normal attacks.
Nilou's a redhead waifu, that's totally pullworthy. My one issue is, that I really don't like dendro teams, and I only use hyperbloom for fast easy abyss clears. I don't use dendro for anything else.
Chevreuse is a great buffer, but her healing is pretty mediocre sadly. Just put her on a team with Arlecchino and C6 Fischl, done.
Tier 0
Furina: Yeah, We know she's great. But I'd say her constellations can't take top spot as she does as a character. I think the best C2 still goes to Raiden, and the best C1 to Bennett. But hey, She's pretty close on both fronts.
C2 raiden is just a normal con for fontaine units and her c1 is way weaker.
Not sure if you have cons on your furina but her c2 is truly absurd and c1 is also good.

aaand I just found another description where a decimal point wasn't there, and suddenly it makes sense why you'd call it broken... Well, with a proper HP focused build at least, if you have a team that can gain a crapton of stacks fast, like Neuvillette. That 140% looks much nicer than the 14.0% that I found in the first description of that constellation. This also means that there's actually a point to that first half of the C2, unlike what it seemed at first. Damn, this makes her buffing insane...
Difference is, this is not going to be seen as much on her personal damage (25-30% or so) but on her buffing ability; while Raiden's C2 shows on her own damage output as a huge bonus. What was the number that people said when She came out? 60% bonus?
@@Wortigon2000Raiden C2 has fallen off. Her damage at C0 is mediocre and C2 just makes it serviceable. Furina's C2 more than triples her fanfare generation on top of the 140% HP increase after you reach max stacks. The fanfare generation basically allows you to almost instantly gain full stacks with even a mediocre healer, allowing for longer buff uptime and the use of more offensive healers like bennet without any of the downsides.
And no, Raiden C2 ignores enemy defense by 60%. It's not a 60% dmg increase, but about 40%.
Eh, I prefer Ganyu, XL, Kazuha, Bennett (and actually using Ganyu's burst in this team).
I think you undervalue Sucrose's buffing capabilities. Other than VV shred... C6 20% dmg bonus buff may be a bit clunky to get in some teams, but EM buffing is great where it works and she's a catalyst, so you can give her TTDS if your team benefits from %Atk buff (especially if it's an Atk scaling hypercarry team), Hakushin in Taser/Aggravate teams, Sac for more EM (+ one more skill use, so a bit better grouping), Wandering Evenstar if your team benefits from %Atk buff on more than 1 character (and also a bit more EM).
More or less (after you discovered how broken C2 Furina is 🤣) agree with the rest (except the Dendro teams take; this is entirely subjective, but I am the exact opposite - I hate (double/fast Hydro) Hyperbloom, but love most of the other Dendro teams 😂).
@@doug3454 I still consider Sucrose one of the best 4 star units, I'm just saying that Kazuha is basically Sucrose on steroids, while Venti does the main aspect of what Sucrose was for back in the day (grouping) better than her.
Her buffing is in fact way better than Venti, as Venti doesn't buff the team.
That said, my anemo character roster has enough level 90 units, not sure about leveling up Sucrose there as well. I mean, Xianyun, Kazuha, Venti, Wanderer, Jean already all at 90, Sucrose at 81, to raise her slightly higher on the character list than the fodder characters (characters I never use, or simply not use anymore) I keep at 80/90,
As for the dendro team take, the part I disliked about it was how overpowered dendro was when it was first released. Dendro-based teams wastly overpowered the rest of the options on similar investment levels. Hyperbloom was simply something I put together as a way to make my Neuvillette pop up more numbers while beating stuff up with him. Still, he's really good in tazer too. So swapping out Nahida for an anemo unit, like Xianyun/Jean who both work really well with Furina could be an option, Kazuha/Venti are options, as Neuvillette can heal himself, no need for a healer oh his teams, etc.

i seriously don't understand how faruzan is better than sucrose when she can only buff one element,yes the buff faruzan gives is really good but at the samw time she can be used only with xiao wanderer and heizou while sucrose c6 gives elemental mastery to the whole team,with c1 she can act as a battery,she can cc and at c6 she gives 20% elemental damage based on what element her burst is infused

It's because Sucrose isn't vital to any specific team comp. She's great, but not vital or necessary and so she doesn't get that bump. There's other ways to VV or buff EM or deal with crowd control.
@@pr0ntab acting as if faruzan is vital to any team comp,there are only two characters in the game that gives em and they are sucrose and nahida. Nahida is really good but locked in dendro teams(not a problem since dendro is THE meta) and sucrose is better than kazuha in Childe, Hu Tao and aggravate team. But let's say that you don't have kazuha and you need VV you can still use sucrose since she can hold ttds and still cc a bit
@@mactartaglia It's just that Childe works fine with Kazuha (even if double swirl is more jank) and Hu Tao doesn't even necessarly need VV... but the anemo hypercarry teams basically do not work at all without Faruzan. She's non-negotiable.
So she got grouped with the anemo boys that are in lockstep with her. Meanwhile Sucrose is being evaluated on the whole but she's just not as critical to any comp. She has role consolidation and good driving potential which puts her in the upper tiers but you can always but Instructors on someone if you need an EM buff, you know?
Im with you with Clorinde, she over performs vs her sheet data in practice. If its just because she is consistent thats fine, thats a strength in its own right its why so many still use Zhongli despite "damage loss" meme
My hot take will continue to be that XL is overrated. I'd put her in T1.5, but I also acknowledge I am just a full hater in that regard. Great video.
I'm a hater (more accurately, I hate the lack of alternatives, not really XL herself), but I do think she's actually great.

Very good tier list. I doubt you're xiao is well built if he's performing worse than navia plunge she does mathematically less dps. Are you timing you're collision plunges and normal cancels. Xiao's build can also be deceiving because he needs a lot more attack percent and crit than you would expect and well built faruzan support. Death match is worse than blackcliff and pjws is worse than homa. So actually now that I think about it most people will probably get faster clears with navia if they're not xiao experts. Good tier list
No actually I have them too navia clears faster against bosses due to her frontloaded damage. Xiao gets worse the sweatier you play in general.

My friend runs a 90 seconds top half on his navia my equally invested team does like sub 70 seconds. I have better artifacts but as long as you don't use pjws xiao having no frontload is a myth. I literally simmed it xiao does like 78k dps per rotation navia should only do 73k at equal investment including cheating a rotation.

I can defend his takes cause in his server, where we livestream our clears, xiao doesn’t always win as muh top dps. We have more proof then you un less you want to hop in the server and show us your gameplay.
