This is awesome. I got ES that is obviously the BYD blade battery. I can notice a huge difference. I got a loaner car (LR model) for a week. When it was -20c, the CATL battery struggled to charge with 1-phase 12A. I could get only 10% over the night. When I got my new SR with the BYD blade battery, i can charge 30% easily over the night when it was also -20c. The efficiency is noticable.

I just ordered one (midnight cherry red)
I had no way to impact the battery type - so I got an F which is CATL.
    Initially I was annoyed.
But there is one other benefit than the 2 kWh. As it charges slightly slower by reducing the charge speed earlier - it should wear slightly less.
(We also have a model 3 LR awd which we could use if we want fast chargibg - it takes 250 kW no problem with the Panasonic cells).

    • @RoamingNorway

Have one Berlin Y 2024 much better than our 2020 M3 regarding noice and charging speed. Went for Tesla 2013, 2014 and 2015 and still have these three S cars that work great and some of them have been driven over 360.000 km and still feel almost as new. We have free SuC on 3 of our cars. • @RoamingNorway

Not off topic at all! Juniper will probably make the Y a more luxury car and make it compete in even more segments. I’m sure it’ll fit the car, and will be worth waiting for.
For this purchase, the Y with comfort suspension is pretty great! And it has stalks, which I think is a good thing. Also the car was needed right now.

Did you also drive in the Highland already?
