    Since June 2023, I’ve been driving the Tesla Model Y SR with the BYD battery from Grünheide. During our August journey from Munich (Germany) to Greece via Ancona (Italy), the charging speed was faster than the time needed for meals or bathroom breaks. The SR MIG not only enhanced our travel experience but also proved to be remarkably time-saving. ❤️

      @evkx 10 месяцев назад +2

      @@bjornnyland thats why your 1000km is so important. To see how the cars behave in the wild. In a ideal world you counted the time from leaving the highway until your back. But that would require the exact same conditions and distance from highway.

    I really appreciate the 800V System of my Ioniq6, but Tesla‘s new configuration impresses deeply: small battery, high efficiency combined with a high and flat charging curve… these 3 features are for me the only way of a smart e Mobility. Would be great to test some narrow and tall tires like 195/60R18, 215/55R18 or even best option 215/65R17 with that beast and break the record clearly even in winter. They offer 10% better energy consumption.

      That would be a really interesting test. I'd argue that the differences would be a lot smaller if the only difference would be the tire size - ruclips.net/video/6wAJAOxh8LE/видео.html explains really well how wider tires don't actually have such a larger contact patch compared to narrower tires. It would probably be mostly impacted by the weight difference (both tire & wheel)

    My wife and I are debating if we should get the SR vs LR, where we live it doesn’t really snow “sometimes” during winter but eventually we might go a road trip during the colder months and we’re afraid that the SR is not good enough. Ive been watching your videos and it seems like the SR handles just fine. What would be your recommendation? Cheers!

    Does all new MY RWD have the BYD battery now? Both Shanghai and Berlin? or how can you see which battery you will get?
    Does the new M3 RWD Highland also have the BYD battery?

      Only Model Y from Berlin has the BYD battery. You can see if the car has a VIN starting with XP7, M3 Highland has the oldest CATL LFP of all Teslas, they have not upgraded anything.

    @Teslabjørn did you do a run with TMY on autobahn to check whats the quickest speed for long travel? (most effective speed in travel time).
    I remember you did it in Model 3 and it was very high there.
    Driving the YP 2023 VIN from Berlin from bergen>kristiansand>ferry to DK I felt it used very little energy at "higher speeds".
    But didnt do autobahn this summer. In 2019 I had the 3P on the Autobahn, maxing out at 180 +-km/h. but often stau!

    • @Zedus-rl9hp
      @Zedus-rl9hp 10 месяцев назад

      Sweet spot for TMY is maybe around 150 km/h i would say. TM3 was ~ 170 km/h

      I also got the MYP 2023, downgraded the 21" uberturbines to 18" lightweight wheels. It took away about 40kg of total car weight! Range improved nicely even if these are winter tyres while uberturbines was summer tyres. But testing in summertime with 18" summer will tell me a much better story. So the consumption will be better than 19" long range model Y.
