We had a National Church Conference in Cincinnati. Across the street from the Conference Hall was Chase Bank. The manager said "You people keep coming in here getting cash. How do we know that you all even have accounts?" I told him "You have computers to verify all of our accounts but if you would like, my husband who is one of the main ministers can make an announcement tonight for all of us to come in tomorrow to close out all of our bank accounts nationwide." He quickly changed his mind and attitude.

Videos like this have been popping up on my feed today. I'm glad that they have. Besides this video, I have seen a carpenter who's employers bank refused to cash his check. Fifteen white employers from the same company had no problem. The Mayor of Mt. Vernon, NY had the police called on him while trying to deposit a large check. He had to go to court to get the full access to the accounts that he was entitled to as a mayor. I'm Canadian. I've been watching in horror as the protests have gone on over the last few weeks. You guys are lucky that these people haven't burned your entire country down by now with the way that you treat them. I say that those protesters have shown great restraint. . Unbelievable.

I experienced racism at Chase as well. I went to reopen a account in a very racist town that I was living in, and was told that I could only have the liquid account. The previous one was closed because it was hacked twice. My sister and significant other called me in reference to money while in her office. She asked what I did for a living and I told her I owned a business as a small batch manufacturer. She allowed me to only open a liquid account and add funds. After I left the account was flagged. I tried to do a zelle to my sister for a rental car and I was told to go into the nearest branch and bring my proof of ID. That was done immediately. I still did not have access to my funds. I went into a branch in a major city the following day and tried to add more funds again and was denied. I spoke with a representative and they refused to talk to me and had me wait for someone on the phone. The lady informed the representative to refund my money and they did not want to do business with me. I'm not sure what the lady in Hammond, Louisiana put in the system. I asked why and was told "We just don't want to do business with you!" I don't know if they thought it was a drug deal or laundering (which is the vibes I was getting), but she just needed a damn rental car. Mind you I have a shopping cart set up through WePay which is a Chase product for my website. There is plenty proof of my occupation. I will never recommend Chase.

I'm so excited for a black man to be intellectual, educated well spoken but still carry himself as he would around his people. I try to tell my friends that they dont have to abandon their culture and try to fit in. It doesn't let the outsiders know that people look and dress like Mr. Kenny Kennedy can be a successful educated person.

You should be interviewing the Chase CEO about this.
He has no defense for his bank's actions.
The Chase CEO should resign as well as the Board of directors.

Jimmy, brother we are so proud of you. Keep standing up for your rights man. Your brain is so much more powerful than your body will ever be. It is not about how these people try to treat us because they may never stop the foolishness. It is about how we treat ourselves. God has called us to be Kings...... Be that King brother.

Well said!!!! It is more about not giving it any power and make it known when this happens. They may not care but the fact they have to wiggle in their chairs coming up with an apology gives me a little grin.

Chase misapplied four of my mortgage payments and attempted to foreclosure and admitted it. This has been going on since 2017. I need to get an attorney. Atlanta GA

Their Chase branches are also dong the same. They refused to open account for a doctor and told her that her salary cheque was a fraud, with out checking with her employer!
