Not only have been inflicting numerous injuries, but he has a whole bunch of flying leeches forcibly attached to him. These leeches are both sucking away at his life and forcing energy into him. His attacks are probably just as much to get the Qurio energy out of his system as it is to get you to stop attacking him.
Weird how I used to not really like malzeno too much and now I do (a lot) then the opposite happened with primordial, when he first showed up I really liked him then I started to like him less and less after a bit
I love how when primordial Malzeno reaches his final stage, his roar changes and sounds more like a scream
