It's amazing how much sound affects our emotions, communication, and perceptions.
I wanted to test the differences between inexpensive, popular, and semi-professional microphones to see how they compared to each other.
Here's a comparison of how microphones sound ranging from an everyday device such as an iPhone to a studio microphone which would be used in broadcast talk shows.

Hey nice meeting you today i feel like we sit in the same boat
It was great meeting you Fitzaey - lets get together again!
Sure! Just let me know when and where i always lock to hang or collab :)
Few thoughts afterward I wanted to mention:
- Sound, like video, is subjective and these are my opinions- I'm by no means an authority.
- The Sennheiser XSW-D wireless kit (my main mic) is ridiculously HOT / sensitive- this was recorded with the input level on the Sony A7iii set to ONE!
- No editing or limiters were used for any of the mics input / output other than equalizing the levels in Final Cut Pro X for output
- I refuse to buy the Rode Video Micro or any of the Rode Pro models because I don't believe they properly supported the people who paid for the flawed VideoMic Go (releasing another product doesn't solve the problem)
- I don't have a studio shotgun mic because I haven't had the need for one yet (there's always 2020 for an updated microphone comparison so who knows)
Again, thank you for watching and I welcome comments, questions, and feedback!
