- I have to say that the look of Walnut and Maple together like this is just so visually pleasing to me. I really enjoy the maple high lights and subtle color changes.
I loved this board so much I almost just kept it. But alas it had a customer, which means onto the next one!

Nice job!
Thank you
I commend you on your closet workshop.... non heated, how did the board hold up? Looks great!
Heat went in this last winter (thank God) I was happy with the board and helped it find a new home.
You used edge grain maple for your second glue up. You have to use end grain , like the rest of the cutting board.
If I remember correctly none of the mortar is end grain it's all edge grain
Also I believe because it is thin enough, grain movement should be no issue at all.
I could be wrong on the movement though
The first mortar is edge grain but becomes end grain once you flip them, as does the rest of the board.
What sized stock are you using? Looks like 6/4 or 8/4.
Good eye, yes typically I end up using 6/4
DID SOMEONE ELSE DO THE JUICE GROOVE?
Nope, all done in my shop.
