This happened in 1983. By the time that 1985 rolled around, though, "Superstar" Bill Dundee and Jerry "The King" Lawler were at each other's throats again! "Superstar" Bill Dundee started that war, though, and things got really ugly, vas I recall. Bill even teamed up with Buddy Landell, and these two went on a tear, dropping their opponents, left and right!
I think they were doing a sneaky plug there. Because back then, the Memphis AA baseball was affiliated with Kansas City and they were called the Memphis Chicks. Do you suppose Jimmy Hart had to wear that suit to some of their games?
Now all we need is KFC (or Kentucky Fried Chicken at the time). This would have been great for one of their commercials, or at least Jimmy Hart would have made a great spokes chicken for it. ;)
lvw100 The Fantastics (Tommy Rogers & Bobby Fulton) later became a popular tag-team in Memphis and in the other wrestling territories in the WWCW (World Class Championship Wrestling and in the NWA (National Wrestling Alliance, Jim Crockett Promotions).
5:47 When Lance dials the number, you can see him dial "1-2-1-6" at the start. 216 is the area code for Cleveland, so I suppose that means the call was legit. I wonder if the Jerry Lawler Show episode(s) he talked about still exist.

Lawler later brought in the San Diego Chicken as his special manager in a match against Jesse Ventura with Jimmy Hart.
I remember that!!! The GOVERNOR (venture) quote: that FUNKY CHICKEN. At first I thought he said " fucking chicken "
when troy graham slaps bill dundee, the look on dundee's face is priceless.

From 1983 to 1993.
Jimmy Hart never looked as good as he did in this video...just like Bobby Heenan and the weasel suit
thanks
Damn that looks just like Kimbo Slice!
mrbobevans Yep, that was wrestler Porkchop Cash who look just like Kimbo Slice.
They weren’t reunited for long.
Yeah. That's because egos got in the way.
was that Kimbo Slice?
Actually, that was Porkchop Cash
Thanks. It does look like Kimbo though!
Dundee and Lawler didn't like each other at the time so one reaching out to the other was kind of a big deal in Memphis.
That was Graham? He looks mean and lean. Looks like a different person.
Alex Batey Yes, that was Troy Graham (Dream Machine).
So, what’s up with the chicken suit?
