Hello again. Interesting reference point (refueling at warning light on) ! I never tried this....might give it a try. Anyhow, in spite of the nowadays modern computer sophistication I kept a habit of keeping refueling records in my car's (Duster 2, 1.5 dci) log book that I put all the important observations (all the interventions and observations). I do it a bit differently, in a way that I refuel always to the top, and even that in a consistent manner - just one press on the gun after it automatically stops for the first time. I know that this also might be a bit variable but, all in all, surely under the 1 liter per one topping up. Topping up, in my case is almost always in the range of 20-40 liters of diesel. After a 40 000 km on the clock, out of the 20+ calculations (I missed many) I would say 90% of my fuel consumption is between 5,5 and 6,5 l/100. Roughly 1/5 of my mileage is city, 1/2 is highways and the rest is various 40-70 km pleasant driving on secondary roads (asphalt or makadam). Rarely have I engaged even auto mode, never lock mode, so, it's 2wd 99% of these 40 000+ kms. What I find misleading is the on board computer which ALWAYS shows less for an average consumption (in between 0.2 and 1 liter per 100 km. Also, I've kept experimenting for a while in comparing "eco mode" on and off, and I agree, the difference is negligible (if any?) provided you drive really carefully and in a non aggressive way (with eco mode on you are "deprived" by the car's computer so it only makes sense to use it for someone who is not used to drive with a "low consumption driving" attitude).
If you see carefully, the dashboard is continuously showing the car under a lowerspeed gear… (most certainly because the continuous speed function is on). That increases the fuel burning in a way that no reasonable experienced driver would perform...
I am a driving instructor and this is more or less the fuel consumption also when I teach my students.
Meaning that it is a really bad mileage for an experienced driver…

Have a 2wd version. Over 4000 miles it is averaging 58mpg, all road types. Motorway speeds 60mpg+, cross country rural, no motorway best seen 69mpg. Filled tank to tank, all fills and distances recorded. The avg mpg in computer is not that bad maybe 1-2 mpg over recording.
I'm interested in motorway consumption (I drive constant real 65MPH on cruise control) Lots of mileage.What does it use at that speed?
This is 40mpg overall, but isn't that absolutely terrible for any diesel except perhaps a large-capacity/ powerful BMW or Audi, even allowing for the low speeds? I would have thought most diesels could get closer to 50mpg even when driving around town. Is the Duster a particularly heavy car or something?

Adevărat, de la full la full se face consumul, de la aceeași pompa... Ce ai făcut tu acolo nu e exact... E la fel de aproximativ ca și al mașinii.
Ai dreptate dar in cazul Dusterului ,dupa ce sare prima data pistolul mai pun 15-16l timp de 5 minute pana este plin ochi. E aiurea sa stai atat in pompa si cel mai rau( in cazul meu 130TCE 130 cai 4x2) este faptul ca litrometrul nu citeste nivelul nou si nu-mi arata plinul.Daca nu fac plinul pana da afara nu este nici o problema. In fapt in carte scrie sa nu se faca plinul pana da afara pt a ramane o zona tampon de aer in rezervor.
Mult prea putini km în oraș (30parca) față de totalul km făcuți ca să-ți faci o idee pt un consum mixt. Estimez un consum de 6,5 /6,8 mixt la un condus normal pt motorul ăsta
Exact aceeași motorizare ca în video, consum de 6,8 în ultimii 3k de km, urban 30% și extraurban 70% dar drum cu diferența de nivel și dus și întors

What is best mode to drive in highways...auto, 2wd? I drive in auto mode mostly @ 80-100km/hr...is their any problem?
There is no problem in driving the auto mode on highways, just that the fuel consumption is higher on auto than it is on 2wd 😁.
@@DusterCoolTravels By the way is there ANY difference is auto vs 2wd ? The rear drive shaft constantly spins anyways since in transmission there must be a locked differential right? So even if i have auto vs 2wd the rear drive shaft never gets engaged to the read diff via the diff clutch maybe perhaps in low speeds in offroadright?
Or am i mistaken ?
@@DusterCoolTravels Wrong. In auto mode it engages 2wd at 60km/h. Do you do less than that in a highway? If you do it you should stop doing it. It is very dangerous.

Thank you. The full thank has 50 litres, I made 300 km with 17 litres, I think I could make around 890 km with the full tank, in the same conditions. 😁
Salut. Am duster 2017, 1.5dci Diesel 4x4. Dupa calculele mele, azi pe extra urban mi-a scos in jur de 12l/100km cu auto mode on si schimbat peste 3500 turatii, aer pornit pe 2 sau 3. E normal? Cam 670km m-a tinut un plin@@DusterCoolTravels
Salut, de ce nu ai făcut plin - plin pe distanta asta!? Și alimentat la aceiași pompa. Cat mai fură și pompa🤫. Sa vedem un consum real.
Salut,interesant video,eu detin un model ca al tau,dupa ce am vazut in video inseamna ca ceea ce indica in bord este foarte apropiat de consumul facut plin la plin,eu o tin mai tot timpul pe AUTO si imi da un consum de 6.0-6.3 /l,chiar si in autostrada cu viteze intre 120-140 mai mult de 6.6/l nu a urcat.....zic eu ca este foarte ok....
Da, ai un consum foarte în aceste condiții. Dacă ai folosi mașina doar în 2WD mode cred că ai avea un consum și mai bun.
Stefan Aurel ia reseteaza consumul si mergi pana la Constanta si inapoi cu 120-140 si vezi care e consumul real. S-ar putea sa te sperii.
@@cornelpetrom Consumul facut in comentariul meu l-am facut facand 300 km numai autostrada,dar intradevar nu am resetat la 0 ,o sa incerc sa fac si asa cum zici tu.....
@@cornelpetrom am facut eu tot cu 1.5 Blue dci (4x4),Constanta Bucuresti si retur pe pilot 130 km/ ora si am avut 6.1( instantul fluctua intre 5,8 si 6.3) vreme excelenta fara vant.

pai computerul dupa oprirea motorului inca mai ia in considerare cam o ora...deci posibil sa fi facut drumul in etape scurte cu pauze intre.

Cati litri de ad-blue consuma de la revizie la revizie si in valoare de cati lei?
Aproximativ 1 l la 1000 km. Depinde de mai mulți factori. Ad-blue găsești la mai multe prețuri. Media ar fi 50 ron 10 L. Prea mari costuri nu implică sistemul ad-blue.

This is true if the distance the car tells you is accurate.
Why it shouldn't be true the distance the car shows?😁
@@DusterCoolTravels If the tires are worn just a little bit you get another reading. If the size is bigger or smallet than stock even worse. But I do as you when I check consumption. But best is to go for a ride that you know how far it is.
@@conio58 ok, it's a good idea to go on a distance already known, but how do you measure the amount of fuel used?
@@DusterCoolTravels you top it up before you start then go.. then top it up and see how much fuel is needed to fill up again.. but the problem is that you cant be totally accurate with shorter distances and you cant measure mixed driving (city, highway) if the distance is between 2 citys on highway for ex. Btw good work with videos and drone shots.. love my Duster..
@@conio58 it's a good idea but it's very hard to do an accurate distance, especially here, where I live, because we have no highway 😄
Eu am mers cu eco pe auto si am scos pe autostrada la 90 km/ora 4,5 litri/100Km. Pe mine ma intereseaza cat ma arde la buzunar nu sa merg sportiv cum au spus altii.

Domnule,terminati cu prostiile astea....eco ...eu am megane din 2005 ,nu are nici un eco si scot 4.6 la 130km/h,acuma,de acord nu in Romania,nu stiu cum sunt autostrazile acolo....dar totusi,cum sa mergi mai nene cu 90 pe autostrada??? Incearca asta in Spania sa vezi ce repede vei fi tras pe dreapta.
@@draculakickyourass Am mers in Germania si nu m-a tras nimeni pe dreapta. Pe banda 1 merg in general tirurile care sunt setate intre 85 si 90 la ora. Care este problema ?? In Germania prima banda in weekend este plina de pensionari cu rulote si merg cu 90 la ora.

Pai daca-ti pune pe ecran consumul mediu,la ce te mai chinui sa calculezi??? diferenta dintre ce spune masina si calculul tau e ceea ce te-au furat la pompa,hahaha
Yea maybe in suburban areas, let's do a test in morning and afternoon traffic jams in big cities, with stop and go traffic. Where majority of people will use this like a daily driver. Don't believe that consumption will be below 9l per 100km.

It’s the way I drive my Duster on the everyday use. No highways here, just one lane roads with many speed restrictions.😒
