Mr Galante writes the most intricate, most beautiful pieces for all skill levels. That's what makes his pieces so accessible. No matter if it's a grade 2 or a grade 5 piece such as this, they all retain the incredible lush harmonies. By far, he is my favorite composer/arranger in this style of music.
I'm playing this in my high school band (flute) and it is so hard! I have to practice so much just to get the first page down!!! Definitely RIP woodwinds!!!!!! Gah! But it is so beautiful! I love rossano galantes music!! ❤️❤️❤️ 🎼🎼🎼
As a 1st cornet part playing this piece for All-State, this will for sure give me a run for my money. This is a fantastic piece and there are so many great aspects about every part of it!
I wish I could convince our band director to play this in our Junior College Wind Symphony but RIP Woodwinds. Edit: it is December 22, 2020, I have managed to convinced my band director to play this piece in our college wind symphony for Spring 2020 but due to COVID it has been postponed to Spring 2021. I'm super excited to play this piece. Another Edit: We got to play this piece finally Spring 2021
Wow junior in college? Im curretly a sophomore in high school and im playing this. (But i am in the highest band we have and this is one of the hardest songs our school has ever played sooo)
I think that Rossano Galante's scores all sound similar because most of their scores are in this grand, proud style that I love. Too bad it all sounds similar. (Although that means that all of their pieces will sound good I guess.)
While yes, his works do sound similar, theyre each different and unique in their own way, and each have a unique story and inspiration. Like you said, consistency is good, as all his pieces are amazing
We all know Hal Leonard got studio workers on mics making sure the music is always the right balance. Tell me where i can find a recordings like these in real life lmao. Don't matter how good ur band is.
this is rushed the beginning tho, they are playing probably closer to 140 bpm. The song as a whole was the right length tho, so they dragged at another point, not gonna bother figuring out where.
Ryan Horwitz Yeah! I need it to be similar to The Planets. Also, it would be this: 1 Piccolo 2 Flutes 2 Oboes 1 English Horn 6 Clarinets 1 Bass Clarinet 2 Bassoons 1 Contrabassoon 6 Horns 5 Trumpets 4 Trombones (3rd and 4th dbl. Bass Trombone) 2 Euphoniums 2 Tubas Timpani Percussion Violins 1 Violins 2 Violas Violoncelli Contrabasses (the same as the concert band arrangement)

So true
whenever i want to remember all my band memories, i go back to this piece. i would give anything to play this piece again
Rossano Galante never ceases to amaze me! His melodies and countermelodies and harmonies soar like none other! One of my favorite composers!
definitely one of his most difficult. RIP woodwinds
uh... rip everyone? brass is absurdly difficult
Half the time the Bass, Bari, and Basson have the hardest part lmao... I love it!
horns dont have it too bad lol
RIP Everyone. Especially the woodwinds and brass
It's hard but just listen to the beauty of it all
Possibly one of the most beautiful pieces ever composed for concert band.
well, there it is - the best concert band piece ever written
I preferred Red Rock Mountain
No matter how many times I listen to this, it never gets boring
I like 0:00 through 5:49
Personally I prefer 0:00 through 5:50 but yeah
@@danielgiometti5522 how about -0:01 through 5:50

Wow! How have I never heard this piece of beauty until today? This is great!
This is music. I could listen to this all day. Thank you, Mr. Gallante. Your pieces are so wonderful on every level you write them in.
The middle section gives me goose bumps every time… phenomenal piece
The fanfare at 3:13 .......... chills every single time.

0:55 Is so magnificent.
Dat piccolo
It's certainly one of the most beautiful passages in modern band music, I think. Mr. Galante knows how to write things this melodic and moving.
as a piccolo player i love this part 😭
The ONE time bari sax can execute fun runs while still supporting bass line
That trumpet solo is beautiful
I love it. It's grand, fast-paced, and beautiful.

Missouri all-state?
@ralphyarl7346 Yeah, first year in the band. You're a bass clarinet, right?
@@asherlairmore Yeah! This piece is certainly nothing like anything I've played on bass, but I'm all for it 😁
@ralphyarl7346 I'd imagine that we would play it as our opener considering the current songs we have lined-up.

That’s like saying every book written by the same author is the same.
While yes, his works do sound similar, theyre each different and unique in their own way, and each have a unique story and inspiration. Like you said, consistency is good, as all his pieces are amazing
Red rock mountain and this literally are the same peice😂
Go have a look at Land of The Healing Waters......... You might find it being a little different at 1.53 - 5.00
Fabukous. I’ll never play it or conduct it but I look forward to hearing it!
This will forever be my favorite
I played the Piccolo part in this song and it's much harder than it looks!
Mark Bernard Was omg ikr
Our All-Region played this piece. It was so fun. What a remarkable piece.
Rossano Galante needs to make an orchestral version of this piece (with the euphonium).
3:23 I love it! 😭😍
Played this piece at my senior concert and it was so fun to play! Our brass was amazing!
one of my favourite works from Rossano
His music really sounds futuristic and space like i always thought. It sounds a hella lot like the music you hear if you go to Epcot
Ahh I love Rossano Galante's work. They are all so beautiful. But rip everyone in this piece it seems so hard lol. But definitely a fun piece.
piccolo definitely has a part😀👍
played this in concert band in high school and I had to re-visit
I did this piece in highschool concert band
major goosebumps. dear lord. I can't wait to play this one at All District, I 'm a flute play and I think Ima die
why can't clarinets get the melody
why does he hate clarinets
why does he hate me

I know right! Ya know what? Sometimes I just want the melody cuz why not? Why can't we get the melody just once? 😭😭
@@gabrielabonal6478 b-but y'all always have the melody... try being a bassoon player
@@twitchkillaaa nah, trumpets always get the melody. For some reason. Why can't we get the melody? Pass it over to the clarinets or bassoons!
Aj Amuah clarinets get Melody all the time. Time for bass clarinet to shine now 🥰😂😂
That flute Hugh note love it
I was expecting a page to turn to reveal a huge photo of Indiana Jones!! Must be great fun to play and the musicians did a fine job.

I know everything by Galante sounds the same, but it sounds so good 🥰
Great score. Just can't hear 1st cornet part in this recording.
Beautiful....
Gussy Rikh you should listen to minimally speaking PART 2 it's so calming and peaceful!

What is your favorite part? Mine is the Piccolo at 1:35.
Start of the Lively section
Loved: A Transcendent Journey is the title of my book I had no idea there was a song with a similar name I have to say it does fit pretty nicely
I aspire to have the shaker chops that the guy in the recording has
why does the trupet at 3:26 sound like a french horn!?
Idk what you're talking about
Why does his pieces remind me of riding Soarin’ at Epcot?
RG helps write Disney music. Probably influenced him without thinking about it
all of his music sounds like superhero music
They should make something like this for a gigantic orchestra.
ABFan2019 it would be similar to the planets
Ryan Horwitz Yeah! I need it to be similar to The Planets. Also, it would be this:
1 Piccolo
2 Flutes
2 Oboes
1 English Horn
6 Clarinets
1 Bass Clarinet
2 Bassoons
1 Contrabassoon
6 Horns
5 Trumpets
4 Trombones (3rd and 4th dbl. Bass Trombone)
2 Euphoniums
2 Tubas

Good piece, surprised there was no e-flat clarinet. But the oboes, English horn, and low woodwinds will hate this piece.
Well... it's very 'American'... Which film score is this from...?
It's not from any film. It's written in a film score style
