It was fun making this one and as for editing, for a Seadoo video, it wasn't that bad as many seadoo videos take ages to edit, but this one had a story from the start, Mark calling the island Monkey Island when infact it was Main Duck Island. Once we figured that the day went smoothly
Very nice. You are spot on about exploring in a Sea Doo. Took my Sea Doo in to be winterized this week. My first ride was on April 15th. Good season here in Rhode Island. Thanks for sharing.
Another enjoyable video! 😀 If you’re ever back in Kingston I highly recommend the tours they do of the Kingston Pen, it’s well worth the money! Very unique tour! 👍👍😄
Hi Nigel, hope all is well. Nice to see you on Adam Hidden Jackpots live in Port Colborne. Also love Kingston to. Been there a few times to. Thank you for sharing Kingston 👍
Hello Nigel. Fantastic video again. The history and everything about being there in your video are the fantastic parts to watching what you have seen. Thanks for bringing us along. Don
Thanks Dan, I try not to just visually show things, I personally think commonatary of what is going on or what we see helps engage with those watching like yourself.
Wouldn’t do for everyone to like the same thing. I like your Seadoo adventures, but I wouldn’t want to go in the water on one. I only do water from a laptop. Have a super weekend Nigel. Looking forward to see watch you have in store for us xx
No word of a lie, it was genuine, as i started filming, Mark was nowhere in sight, It will be interesting to see if he was filming when he came around the corner and found me standing there filming.
Nice adventure, creepy indeed. That shallow area gives me high anxiety. Can you elaborate on your shallow water techniques, please or is there already a video of yours? Thanks 👍
Sure, usually, if there are no markers around, then there shouldn't ve any surprises. Always take it slow and stand up so you can keep scanning everything in front and at the side of you. This particular shallow water was a majority of flat bed rock and no loose stone or small rocks, so there was very little chance of sucking a rock up. Once I get to about 1 ft of water, I kill the engine and walk it in. Note, can't do the above if it's windy as it will cause ripples on the water making it hard to see. Now on the way back, I follow the track on my GPS to get myself out of the shallows
It looks like a boiler of a boat that got grounded there a long time ago or it washed up there but I bet it's from a old wooden boat that ran aground and broke apart through the years and that's all that is left of it.
@@NigelHay Nigel, if you're ever around the Scarborough Bluffs, there's a 100 year old steamship wreck easily visible. Wreckage is scattered long about a kilometre east of bluffers park, off the Doris McCarthy trail. Ship ran aground in a storm and the crew got off, but the cargo was stolen by passersby before the ship broke up.
If memory serves me correct, I fueled up 51 liters that evening and Mark was 51 and half liters. On the next video, we went further and both got back with alarms beeping. 1 bar left on gage, took 60 liters
The water is crystal clear thanks to the invasion of zebra mussels. The little clams filter the water very well and in a lot of places on the lake you can see to the bottom. Unfortunately so can sunlight causing to much plant growth Wich is dangerous to any lake! Amarite?
What a terrific episode! Will watch it again tonight. Thanks

Wonderful video Thks for the tour. What a great way to get out and explore the waters. Really enjoyed 😊
Thanks Debbie, I am glad you enjoyed our adventure.
Quite an adventure, Really enjoyed this and learned a few things! Great video!! 👍
every trip is a learning experience for me, I am glad you came along for the ride.
We used to vacation at Cape Vincent for many years. Great boating & fishing all around. Thanks for bringing back fond family memories !!
We had our fishing gear in our vehicles at the launch, we ended up being so busy that we never had time to fish
What an awesome adventure, thanks for bringing us along.
Our pleasure! glad you enjoyed it

That was one of the things I wanted to do, I will defiantly be back

Thanks Mark, it was good to finally meet Adam
Cool trip !😊

I would absolutely love to live in the “spooky” house. Thank you Nigel xx
I wouldn't even spend a night there

You go through the Trent-Severn Waterway it's a cool trip and many locks and you go one the Peterborough Lift Lock if you have never seen it
I keep meaning to do that. I'll get there eventually
Your best video so far. 😃
Oh wow, thanks for this, I really appreciate the compliment
“I thought you got killed…” lol good one.

Very interesting, we boated in the Thousand Islands for a few years. Endless adventures
I will be back next year and go further!
That was cool! Thanks for sharing your adventure!
Very cool video!
Great video of day 1 of the trip my friend!
OMG, day 2 will be fun editing. This Castle is not a Castle!

Excellent video. You sure have gotten your money's worth out of that Sea Doo.
I sure have, it's got a lot of hours on it that is for sure, a lot of great memories.
Main Duck is a cool place. That harbor is usually full of boats in the summer months. The clear water at the east end of the lake is normal thing.
It was brilliant, I really enjoyed going out there and enjoyed learning more about the place before I started editing this video
What cool place to camp.
That's a no from me
@@NigelHay lol comon nigel live a little.
Never been to Main Duck, but made it to False Duck Island last year. Just a little further West.
There is a place actually called "False Duck Island".?
Nice video Nigel.
Many thanks!
That’s a boiler from a ship wreck. Supposedly there are several ship wrecks in the area hence the lighthouse.😂
100% a boiler
we found one wreck,

Hi Nigel, how much fuel did you use for that trip? Cheers
If memory serves me correct, I fueled up 51 liters that evening and Mark was 51 and half liters.

I forgot, I added 10L during the ride so total was 61L used

Hence the big algae blooms we frequently get on Lake Erie
Gtreay Vlog!
This was one, if not my favourite ride of the season.
Since when is Mark on a fish pro?
I think that was his first outing on it.
I'm sure he'll mention it in his video.
Too cold to swim?
No, it was a little warmer around the island than what it was in Kingston
Those blueberries are wild grapes.
I am glad to say that I am no gardner lol
Ok. nigel😊
As you get older mosquitoes do more damage to your skin.
do something exciting like put a downrigger on your ski and go get some big erie walleyes !

I suck at fishing, I keep trying. I caught 3 Gobbies the other day, horrible things
