What a disappointing release. Triumph would have updated the TFT display and added semi-automatic suspension along with a new exhaust. Existing Rocket 3 owners including myself would have upgraded . I will keep my 2020 R3.
I think it a bit wrong. Especially that GT has more equipment on board than R. On my local website of Triumph the "standard" Rocket 3 (2023) has dry weight in spec (291 kg) while the "Storm" has wet weight (R - 317 kg and GT - 320 kg). (Dry weight is such dumb value.)
I hope Triumph never changes the dual round headlights on the Rocket like they did with the Street and Speed triple, it's like they could never go back and find a design language afterwards.
@@sbabbaro1977 I just rode the new storm and I think there’s a lot a variables. Driver skill, bike settings, etc. I could see the rocket winning an 1/8th mile but the diavel reeling it in during a quarter
Panniers are a pure disaster. I have already returned one of them because of stuck zippers, they broke on vacation and would not close. Now I have new ones, but after every rain or ride in the dust I preventively shower the zippers first, because they get stuck again and then I open them. The locks are upside down, the numbers turn backwards - unnatural. The unlocking key from the bike is inserted differently on each side. The panniers do not hold their shape and are difficult to access, when zipping up if they are hanging on the bike it is a complete birth to close them at all. I have a 13" laptop and it fits in them so I have the corners torn off. Carrying capacity is 5,5 kg, which makes a person turn into a minimalist on a maximalist motorcycle. When I put my disc lock, camera and water bottle in the bag, I will exceed its carrying capacity. Besides, they're not waterproof. Did anyone think at all when designing and approving them? Or what more could we want for 1000 euros? PS: If you don't know, how to do it, ask BMW. Really, no joke.
@@ichbinmartin you have the paniers rack or mounting system in your bike so you can take or copy the mounting hardware from the paniers to use it on aftermarket soft or hard paniers. Everything with good measurements to ensure fitment and clearance is possible.

You're not taking into account that this engine is understressed and has a low compression ratio. Throttle tables are restricted well under 100% stock, and secondary throttle bodies are partially closed all the time. Only looking at power to displacement ratio is a juvenile rookie move anyway. There's 280whp n/a rockets from the previous gen. Turbocharged rockets can see 400whp. This engine is really made to last 250k+ miles, not have some ridiculous spec sheet
what the fuck is going on with this ad, some old man is talking nonsense all the time and at no point can you even hear the engine of this wonderful machine. Who let go and accepted it. If I wanted to watch 9 minutes of Grandpa in a pyjamas, I would turn on A Christmas Carol with Scroodge
Eegh Triumph ruined the new Speed Master making it the lamest grandpa bike ever, and cancelled the Thunderbird line, which was the most promising of the three cruisers they make, and have us another weird looking fat overweight one trick pony Rocket 🤦♂️🤡🤢🤮. For God sake Triumph get ride of your product manager. They are a numpty.
❤ Triumph for the Win!!

You can always get an aftermarket exhaust system that should drop several pounds and add a few horsepower.
Triumph makes the best bikes
294kg for the Storm GT vs 317kg for the Storm R. That is one helluva of reduction

I would have very small tail bag, only for raincover and disc lock. 3-4 liters would be perfect. Do you plan to do something?
Pefect🎉
Only thing I would change is the handle bars, I like them straight across
Drive-by-wire? Is the throttle not mechanically linked?
I hope Triumph never changes the dual round headlights on the Rocket like they did with the Street and Speed triple, it's like they could never go back and find a design language afterwards.
Why red line is on 6500 while the claimed max HP at 7000? Old software?
Monster bike.
"All new" means something quite different to what Triumph seem to think.
Just waiting for a half-fairing or a decent windshield to buy a GT.
I'd like to see if the increase in horsepower and torque really helps to leave the Ducati Diavel behind in a drag race
I have feeling it’s going to depend on the race. Dead stop, to 100mph or less Triumph. Rolling race… Ducati might take it!
@@omarbailey7243 both fun but I think the 0-100 and the quarter mile are the most classic. consider that Ducati is much lighter
What do u think?
have tuned ecu, 195hp, 240Nm, unrestrained 1,2,3 gears, TC OFF and now its Rocket. Cat and exh removed, sound is brutal.
This is a cruiser. The 1200 triple is their performance bike.

YOU WAIT UPDATE
The rocket doesn't need more power, its needs a bigger fuel tank!
if money was no object.
Yea no shit…. Anyone got an extra $30k laying around…?

With everything you said and for that price you should get or buy some aftermarket paniers
@@anonymous_PR unfortunately, there aren't any.

182ps and 225nm of torque for a 2500cc engine its pathetic lets be honest
That's too much cc to power ratio
Big engine with little stress is better than little engine with high stress.
