I remember buying from Mars to Sirius in high school having never heard of them, that album blew me away. Since then they have only progressed and refined and are easily one of the best bands active today.
I haven't seen Gojira since they toured with Slayer back in 2013 and JESUS CHRIST they were one of the top 3 performances of my life. They tracks are hit and miss for the most part when you listen to their music, but they are one of the best (definitely top 3) bands I have EVER seen in my life!!!
France produced some decent metal bands in the 80s but this is beyond all of them. Such crazy music and such global success. Waw. Mario is a beast. What a joy to watch.
J’ai eu la chance de les voir plusieurs fois, mais cette fois j’ai dû attendre plus de 2 ans pour les revoir avec les reports de la tournée. 2 ans sans concert de métal, c’est long! Je pense que je suis pas le seul dans ce cas-là, et du coup, dans la fosse, on a donné tout ce qu’on avait! Incroyable! Les mecs, les nanas, les vieux comme moi, on a lâché prise et vécu ce moment à fond ensemble. Des bleus partout, plus de voix, mais quel beau souvenir!🤘🏻
J'ai 56 ans, j'y étais avec ma fille de 19 ans que j'ai fait découvrir le métal et GOJIRA, le concert était grandiose, on a hâte de les revoir à Nîmes🤘 !

Avec cet angle on peut vraiment s’apercevoir de l'énergie, de la puissance, de la technicité, et du rythme parfait de Mario Duplantier du début à la fin du concert ! Il est vraiment impressionnant à regarder. C'est clairement un musicien exceptionnel qui excelle dans son art et qui marquera la musique métal !
Did mario actually just do a harder versions of some songs? The man is a madman. 8:00 fucking triplets or wtf is that. Sounds killer. 10:45 the 2x speed double bass. Fucking master at his craft this man
Actually no at 8:00 he’s missing his other pedal or something goes wrong. He actually seems nervous for the first few tracks, lots of little mistakes and forgetting where he is in the songs - doing fills to cover the bar until he can join back in where he is supposed to be. I love Mario! I really get a nervous vibe for the first few tracks, his playing has that forgetful out of body kinda of playing going on.

He's pushed himself hard, and it seems his left leg is struggling a bit. That said, he is still absolutely one of the top 10 drummers in metal.

Guys, this was their first headline show at the most prestigious arena in all of France in front of a sold out 16.000 audience. It's not that Mario is getting old. They mentioned that playing here was something that finally earned some of their father's respect. Of course they were nervous... He picked himself during the show, which is hard to do, once the mistakes have been rolling the first few songs. True sportsman mentality.

I attended the show but left it right after they finished off playing "L'enfant sauvage" i was kinda disappointed they didn't play "Oroborus" as it's was included in the setlist of previous shows, but all in all amazing show, thanks for uploading this video

Y’a que ma copine et moi qui avont trouvé le son immonde ? Ok le concert était énorme dans sa globalité mais nous avons était ultra frustrés par la qualité du son qui donnait peine à reconnaitre certains riffs ou qui gachait certains breaks ou transitions. Juste savoir si nous avons été les seuls 😅…

Premier concert métal pour moi. J'étais allé voir les Red Hot au SDF en juillet et le son m'avait déçu. J'ai plus ou moins ressenti la même chose ici. Le son était quand même mieux qu'au SDF, mais effectivement les enceintes semblaient saturées, on avait du mal à distinguer les différents instruments. Aux deux concerts j'étais dans la fosse entre 10 et 50 mètres de la scène. Me demande si leurs autres concerts, dans d'autres salles, sonnent pareil. Ils n'ont pas le réputation de mal sonner en live. En tt cas c'était quand même très cool, gojira oblige !
@@hdl897 Non non c’est bien la salle car c’était mon 5ème concert de Gojira depuis From Mars to Sirius Tour dans d’autres salles de Paris et de France et je confirme le son etait à chaque fois d’une puissance et d’une netteté ahurissante. C’est donc pour ça que j’ai emmené ma copine (en carré or svp 81€ o.O) qui les voyait pour la premiere fois en lui promettant monts et merveilles. Résultat nous n’etions pas si bien placé (ça valait pas le prix) donc deçu de ce point de vue et le son était dégueu, nous sortant même du concert parfois et gachant notre plaisir. Bref c’etait GOJIRA quand meme dont le show dans sa globalité etait plaisant (taille - ambiance - scéno) mais pour ma part c’est de tres loin le moins bien niveau son et donc niveau « immersion » de tous les concerts que j’ai fait de ce groupe. Ça serait à refaire je referai. Mais pas en carré or 😅 car le rapport qualité prix en a affecté peu mon jugement global.

It seems like Joe's having to rely on playback during the high pitched "Get me out of here" in The Cell like 22:14. Noticed this when I saw them in Cardiff last month. It must be too much strain.
La vidéo ne rend pas hommage au concert. C'était énorme, quelle énergie, quelle public, quelle ambiance ! Par contre oui on entendait très mal sa voix.
I was a huge Metallica fan until they did Jason dirty no one loved that band more than Jason it was bad enough that lars virtually mixed him out of injustice for all but, it was way worse the way they chose to let Him go from the band or as they like to believe that he quit 🤣 the band because they are ashamed of the scumbag way they chose to be about it, the only member at the time that was bringing all the energy to the band it really hurt his feelings and that they didn't do right by him even after realizing the scumbag moves they made in the process, I was done with. The 2 prima Donna members of Metallica is say f*** those rich A holes in the neck they don't deserve the title given to them by the fans they deserve to be second to Megadeth actually but, that's another argument for another day they did the one member that loved that band more than they did wrong and I'm not forgetting or forgiving that fact.
Le son était en effet très fort, ce que je ne trouve pas trop problématique une fois de temps en temps ça ne va pas nous tuer, mais surtout il était un peu brouillon, saturé. Ca c'était plus chiant.
Problème de mixage de voix au fond de la salle, mais pas vraiment "fort", pour une grande salle ça aurait pu être pire, et c'est normal de sortir avec des acouphènes, faut juste pas qu'ils durent plus de 3 jours quoi
Déçu par le son de ce concert. Lead vocal trop faible. Guitares parfois. Cymbales dégueulasses. Pas de ride, crash pas terribles. Caisse claire trop mat. Le son tournait. On sait que Bercy c'est vraiment mauvais au niveau du son mais là il y avait aussi des problèmes de balances.
J'imagine assez bien le désespoir et la tristesse que ces musiciens trimballent dans leur coeur. Je les plains, sincèrement. Oui, je sais c'est subjectif (comme tous les commentaires d'ailleurs...)!
depuis 2006 je rêve de les voir je n'est jamais pu concretiser l'occasion, pas d'argent ou travaille ou l'inverse. j'ignorais qu'il passais a paris :( je désespère la!🤯🫀🥺😭😭😭

J'ai toujours cru que Mike Portnoy était un des meilleurs batteurs, mais je dois mettre Mario sur cette liste. Une machine le mec!!!

I was a huge Metallica fan until they did Jason dirty no one loved that band more than Jason it was bad enough that lars virtually mixed him out of injustice for all but, it was way worse the way they chose to let Him go from the band or as they like to believe that he quit 🤣 the band because they are ashamed of the scumbag way they chose to be about it, the only member at the time that was bringing all the energy to the band it really hurt his feelings and that they didn't do right by him even after realizing the scumbag moves they made in the process, I was done with. The 2 prima Donna members of Metallica is say f*** those rich A holes in the neck they don't deserve the title given to them by the fans they deserve to be second to Megadeth actually but, that's another argument for another day they did the one member that loved that band more than they did wrong and I'm not forgetting or forgiving that fact.

Le son était pareil en vrai. Je suis sorti complètement sourd. Faut virer l'ingé son sur ce coup là.
Le son était en effet très fort, ce que je ne trouve pas trop problématique une fois de temps en temps ça ne va pas nous tuer, mais surtout il était un peu brouillon, saturé. Ca c'était plus chiant.
Problème de mixage de voix au fond de la salle, mais pas vraiment "fort", pour une grande salle ça aurait pu être pire, et c'est normal de sortir avec des acouphènes, faut juste pas qu'ils durent plus de 3 jours quoi
J'étais en balcon pas très loin des enceintes et j'ai débrouillé

I wore earplugs as I always do for metal shows; they are a hearing saver for sure; filter sound very well. 100% recommend

Déçu par le son de ce concert. Lead vocal trop faible. Guitares parfois. Cymbales dégueulasses. Pas de ride, crash pas terribles. Caisse claire trop mat. Le son tournait. On sait que Bercy c'est vraiment mauvais au niveau du son mais là il y avait aussi des problèmes de balances.
J'imagine assez bien le désespoir et la tristesse que ces musiciens trimballent dans leur coeur. Je les plains, sincèrement. Oui, je sais c'est subjectif (comme tous les commentaires d'ailleurs...)!
