Thanks, Gary. I use iCloud a LOT, but missed this interface update till now 👍 really like it. Works fine on Firefox and any Chrome-based browsers, and works perfectly, just as expected, in Linux too, which as a software engineer I use all the time when not at home, and using my normal Apple devices.

Great video. I was on a job recently and wanted to add a note to my phone, but didn't want to get the phone out, so figured i surely can do this via iCloud on the web - and yes, it works great! Very impressed with iCloud on the web and I'm sure there will be more features added over time.

There also doesn't seem to be a way of uploading an entire folder or to move a sub-folder into a different higher-level folder, although I've just had my Mac Mini 2020 for less than a week so this might also be true if I was working on the Mac and not one of my Linux or Windows machines. If I had my choice, though, I'd rather see a list view before being able to do anything I have already mentioned. Great videos, Gary; I'm learning MacOS from you. Thanks!

Hi Gary, thank you for this great video. This is an improvement. But still, after all these years, Apple still doesn’t understand users by not providing simple options as a list view. Apparently they never bothered to look at how great and user friendly the Dropbox web UI is. Lot’s of greetings, Dennis 🇳🇱

@@shemmac4700 That was “fast”. But look at how they have implemented this. So few space for showing the full filename., just because the columns cannot be resized, the width of the columns is all the same and this shared column that I do not use but can’t remove. Very poor UI design. In my opinion, Apple has lost it’s connection with their users.

Do you have an episode that explains how one could disconnect from the Apple ecosystem as far as Photos is concerned? I would like to see how it would be to be in this world without being connected to the iCloud photo library. Couldn't I just take photos and connect back to a computer and download them off like it was way back in iTunes?

It isn't easy to do and I have never done it (I just have a large enough drive so I have Optimize turned off anyway). You'd probably need to start a new library on your external, then set that to the System Library, then let everything download to it with Optimize turned off. Lots of pitfalls along the way.
