Mantus Anchor setting in soft sand, while we expected all anchors to work in this bottom... we were surprised the Bruce, and Manson Boss had difficulty setting.

Unfair test! You are pulling the Mantus Anchor on a more horizontal line along the bottom from the start while comparing the other anchors you are pulling more vertically.

I bought a 17 lb Mantus and tested it in my back yard on the lawn. It works! It set within 2' of pulling it. No chain only rode.
Made a video of it too. "Playing with anchors in my back yard"
    These anchors rock!
I'm going to put two on each boat.

Chain is rode too. You dont know much. "Rode" can be anything.

    Mantus Anchor is No.1!
I bought an anchor mantus and it's the best.
Used and tested in the Adriatic Sea.
    Greetings from SLOVENIA.

It is suprising how much trouble various anchors can have! In a couple weeks are posting our video about the time that we had to ABANDON the boat anchor! Sailing has been a huge learning curve so far as we start our journey around the world and videos like this are a great help!

Let me guess....3 year later you are still in the marina like everyone who says they're going to "sail around the world" ?

@@SOLDOZER haha incorrect, my old partner and I took that boat ~5,000 nautical miles from Rhode Island to Grenada. I have since done a Pacific crossing and partial Atlantic crossing as crew and six months ago bought my own boat and have now gone nearly 3,000 nautical miles solo from Connecticut to Puerto Rico (where I just arrived yesterday). As you can see, I am not really the type of person who is all talk or just stays at the marina.

Mantus, Rocna, and Manson Supreme all work great, but being able to disasemble the Mantus for storage gives it the win. We have an 85 pound Mantus (and all chain rode) on our 42 foot, 40,000 pound motor yacht. We’re very happy with it.

just bought one to replace a 3 week old Rocna that a guy cut off first time out at the local raft up party. Anyway, the Rocna set instantly the 6 other times i tested it. I agree with the fake call here. I thought it was me but the Mantus clearly has like 2-4 times the chain. In the beach walking set videos, they hid the line too for the Mantus. I hop this smaller mantus works because I just need the replacement smalle enough to fit the anchor lochor instead of the roller. I hope it's at least as good as the Rocna I had just gotten.

I only have experience with my 33 pound Bruce. It just held my 15,000 pound boat in mud in a couple nasty storms in Florida with gusts up to 50 with lots of boat swinging. I have a hard time believing it cant even dig in some light mexico sand.

Who else loves the completely different angle of pull on the different anchors 😂😂
When you have to fake the results is when you know the product is utter shit. Next time pull them at the same angle.

It looks like the Mantus goes in very quickly, but then, once it is in - it looks like it just continues to plow (beneath the sand) rather than hold in one place. Maybe if the angle of the fluke were opened up a bit more away from the shank for more of a "face" to the sand?

Steve Ramsey no they pull the mantis at at a lower angle digging it much faster. The rest are pulled higher to not set on purpose. It's crap.

The anchor should never dig in, it is only as an extreme last resort (sudden hurricane etc ). The weight and drag of the chain alone must be sufficient to hold the boat.

FAKE !!!!! E' un filmato falso, forse a scopo pubblicitario. Si vede chiaramente che alle ancore che non tengono è stata data volutamente poca catena. La catena è quasi verticale.!!!!!! VERGOGNATEVI !
