You’re not the only one that relieved! There’s 119,000 subscribers with a collective sigh of relief!! Well done Chopsy lad…👌👌👌🙌
"The ZXR will be rebuilt over the winter.." He said
"How many winters?" We all replied 😂😂
Good work, Chops mate. Can't wait to see the 1st ride 👍🏾
He didn't specify which winter, you know 😅
Its always positive first when connecting/fitting a battery, then earth removed first when removing/disconnecting… less likely to short something out 👍
Great point! 👍
An easy mnemonic I use for the battery goes as follows; Removing the battery is a negative (-) thing, placing a battery is a positive (+) thing. :)
@@caspar4121i like that, thank you
@@caspar4121Really useful! I always have to check. Thank you.
1. Copaslip on the exhaust nuts too.
2. Mineral oil is the best for start up and 1st 100 miles running in.
3. You done good my son.
Way to bring it on home Chops! Very nice. Looking forward to the first ride!
Nelly can put his price up now 😊. Good work, chops.
I love these older bikes❤
Well Done Chopsey,Great series 👊
The bike looks fantastic, you've obviously spent a lot of time and money making it look better than when it left the factory. Great vid Chops.👍👍👍👍👍
Brilliant, so chuffed for you , we can certainly feel your excitement. Looking forward to the test ride.
Superb! Never thought it would see the light of day again. Looks and sounds top drawer. #Beastie2 😊
Chopsy! The joy on your face says it all! You must be so chuffed! Especially after all this time. Great work sir!!
Awesome 👌 love this rebuild!
Hate first start up done loads but still get first night nerves 😂
Good work chopsy
Congrats! Your disbelief at it all going well is so relatable haha It looks fantastic.
Bring on the ZXR!!!!
It looks really good and now it's alive !! I've been using LiFePO4 batteries for 9 or 10 years, if your charging system is working properly they're brilliant, you can leave them for a year and they still have loads of charge...love them 😎
ZXR Next 🙌
Fantastic Chopsy, so glad it fired into life!!! Brilliant build series and can't wait for the winter Kawasaki project to begin
It's Alive !!!
About bloody time !😂
WOOOO HOOOOO!
Well done Chops, what a difference, looks mint now ❤
What a beautiful job u guys have done looks mint Karl from NewZealand
Brilliant… winter is coming!
Brilliant achievement 😊
This was orgasmic, give us more!
Chopsy! Bravo sir 👏
The 2 valve air cooled motor is such a reliable fun engine
Great to see!! Congrats! :D
Totally awesome!
Well done, Chops - great job, mate !
Guess you're not looking for Halfords sponsorship 😅
Haha Yeah, it's a bit harsh. There's probably nothing wrong with the oil. It's all got to meet a standard.
Yeah they do higher quality oil to be fair... haha was a bit harsh 😅
You can see why manufacturers moved away from dry clutches. Well done anyway smiles for miles on the way 👍
Yay!
Nice one.
Don't forget you can change the HYM RACING PWR scrolling text to whatever you want 👍🏻
This is the joy I’m also hoping for soon after a 3 year but & bolt resto of a cr125. Awesome 👏🏼
Bloody brilliant stuff,, it's a mint motorcycle and so worth the wait for us all,, better than taking any short cuts ☘️☘️☘️☘️☘️ worth the effort chops,,
A few months = 48+. Just like my dog projects. Looks amazing well done
And 3,...always spin the fresh motor with all plugs pulled - saves the starter and turns over much faster. Especially on old classics with only a kickstarter...😅
First time, the pro's can't even do that, What a bloody legend. Chopsy for Prime Minister.
AHH CHOPSY!!! You want to check that the starter motor isn't still engaged when it starts mate looks like the button is sticking or the solenoid is sticking?
It's fine. The Hypermotard has "servo start" where the starter continues to turn after the button has been pressed either for five seconds or until the motor fires, whichever comes first.
@@luddite6239 funny that my brother had the 1100 multistrada of the same year and that didn't have that "servo start"? You had to hold the button and I'm sure Chopsy had to do that before he stripped the bike down?
No I think it does certainly have servo assisted start.. might have more extras being the S version..
@tracktime1196 All the DS motor Multistrada versions had, (or should have had), the "servoignition" system. It's certainly shown in the owner's manuals. The thing is, if you press and hold the button as normal, you would never know it had it, as it only activates if it's pressed and released before the engine catches.
@@luddite6239 oh wow I never realised and when I think about it I did always just kept my thumb on it when I borrowed it and it was never talked about between us? Everyday is a school day lol
Brilliant Chops well done dude top work.. looking and sounding awesome whoo 👍👍😊❤ Pete
Well done mate. Pleased for ya! I've followed this project from day one and that was a big step. Look forward to the final jobs....
I bought a new HM1100 back in 2008. Great bike! Only had one issue with the rear cylinder round side head timing cover (?) leaking oil. Ducati had a TSB for this being a problem and the temporary fix was silicone sealant as the o-ring that sealed the cover was not the issue as it was the same as the other cylinder. The mechanic thought it could be the head machining was oversized and the o-ring wasn’t able to properly seal the port.
excellent chopsy , i had a hyper 1100 great bikes , yours is how ducati should have built it
That sounds like a very healthy desmo twin to my ear. Congratulations Chopsy! That bike is beautiful.
Ducati and Termignon. Combination as good as Beer and Crisps!
Well done Chops 👍🎉 bike looks brilliant and it started 1st time
Sounds great to
Cant wait for 1st road ride👍👍👍🏍
Awesome job 👍 can't wait to see the Hyper out and about, and to think all done without Mavis getting her two bobs worth in😂 👍👍
Superb chopsy , great to hear it run 👍👍👍 those dry clutches are terrible sounding 😮 well worth the four year wait mate . Be some bike once all tidied up and bolted together .Great effort .👍👍
Engine startup of the year 👏 👏 👏 👏 alright I want to see this puppy run in, dyno tuned and then enjoyed. What an absolutely amazing build pops!
Now you have had your practice on the Hyper, I have a S2R Monster which can use the same treatment! 😂
Great vid, well done mate, sterling job in the end. Looking forward to the first ride review. ; )
Finally. When test ride? Are you keeping this over the ktm?
Mate I was so nervous, now I'm so happy
What's happening to me.. 😁
And 4, i prefer acorn nuts on correct length ex studs for no threads showing for tuture hassle free no seizure of fasteners.
Carry on...
I should do this to mine, but it's working too nice and also my only bike... 😢😂
This bike brought me to your channel
Well done buddy
Its a good job you have a dry clutch… using a car oil in a bike is normally the end of the clutch due to the friction modifiers used… nearly had a heart attack until I spotted the nice red dry clutch 😅
The cranking pwr is too low. You need at least 270
have you ever used engine flush before oil change chops? I do every time.
Had to laugh when it turned over the first time, made you jump Lol 😅good work mate and to all that helped make it happen!
48 months ish is a few months ! just needs a good run
Brilliant can’t wait for completed bike vid and first ride .
Open a garage mate ditch the day job : ) great technical skills
Cracking mate it's always an awesome feeling starting up a project after a long wait, fair play bet you can't wait to get out on it 😎
I thought BInky the mini was going to get finished before this😂😂
Well chuffed for you Chopsy.
Just got home. Streaming now ..
That must have been a great moment when it started for you, but then again we’ve all seen it’s been done right!
I hope I get to see this at a chance encounter at Loomies maybe, fantastic restoration top job 🎉
A lot of those types of bike are 1 press on the button and they crank themselves till they start ,no need too hold the button .
But (irony mode) what about the Ducati build!
Really happy for you Chops, knew it was a case of when not if 👍🏻
Great stuff, looking forward to the first ride. :)
A special tool just to turn the engine over ? Cmon ducati
go the chops👍
Well done mr chops lol 😂
Great vid as always my man all the best 👍
heat cycles rev to 5k then 7 k 7 heat cycles dont hold one place seat valves ! Dont be afraid once brole in rev it ! its better for it!
Buy a lottery ticket after that bit of luck lad. Well worth the wait.
Congratulations on four years work chops
I couldn’t click on this fast enough!
HE'S DONE IT, HES FINALLY DONE IT - WOOWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW
So good to see. Really chuffed for you mate.
Excellent really happy for you ❤❤
She's Alive! ALIVE! So chuffed to see it running again. Looking forward to that first ride vid now. As a Ducati owner, I know that every start of the button is more of a question, than a statement - but hopefully many miles of Ducati smiles to come. Nice one Chopsy! 👍
Iv been there
Well done chops that's awesome 👍
Thank fuck it's finished 😳🔧😂
Congrats 🙌 on an interesting project
Good job. What a beauty! ❤️🤘
🎉🎉🎉🎉😁👍 arrhh .. fantastic to hear 🙌
🥳🥳🥳Wow... I had the good fortune to discover EP01 just a couple of days ago, and proceeded to binge watch the lot over the last 2 days, not knowing until now whether the project had made it as far as firing up the motor. HOORAH!!! It's been bloody brilliant seeing one of my favourite motorcycles of all time being dismantled, put in boxes, moving house, and being reassembled, and seeing behind the scenes at some of the little cottage industries that make these projects possible. Having seen the care that went into this, and espeically the engine rebuild, there was never a doubt in my mind that it was going to fire up first prod. Awesome job!! Can't wait for the next episode now.
Downside: I have serious garage envy now.
Thanks very much Chris, quite the journey 👍
That oil from Halfords is actually pretty good. My 2005 SV650 has had a diet of that for the last ten years and 60,000 miles all year round biking can attest to it's efficacy! People had problems with clutch slip from more "premium" oils.
Yeah I know, I just mean it's the cheaper selection 👍
That looks excellent! Well done! That's something to be proud of 👍
And your bike lift is wicked. Shame they didn't sponsor you.
And you connect the positive battery terminal first, then the negative. And reverse order when disconnecting 😉
Nice to see it finally alive again 👍😎
Thanks to your help buddy 👍
Congratulations on first start and run !. The bike looks awesome 👍. Looking forward to the next instalment and first ride.
Thanks! Alan 👍
Well done Chopsie, what a journey. Presumably there will be a final episode of the bike out on the roads etc??
Yes absolutely there will be a final episode with a road test 👍
Well done Chops! Looks awesome
Top Job!
Well done Chops 😁👍
🎉🎉🎉🎉. Excited for the zx7
