Most Battlefield fans say this game is bad but this is the battlefield game that started my battlefield career and I love this game to death and this music is awesome.

This game had one of the most unique singleplayer experiences I've ever seen. You were not some super soldier, protected by plot and prioritized like James Bond. You were another one in your squad, another unit taking part. Defeat had another purpose, you were not supposed just to survive.

@@MrKrolik3000 The 360 version isn't a remake. The game was released at the tail end of the console generation, so they re-released it for the 360. Similar to how COD Ghosts was released on both the 360 and xbox one.

me favourite mission is defending weird factory against the train as chinese i think xd (when i think of bf2mc missions, to me some of them make no sense after these years of not playing them ex. exploding the bridge, might make sense but not knowing the purpuse makes no sense)
It is a good game, but in my opinion BF4 is more polished. Sure, it may have an inferior SP, but the MP is crisp and great for all of your battlefield moments. BF2:MC has the advantage of a better, more battlefield-ish Campaign, relying on the view of a soldier than 'the chosen one' type character. So, in conclusion, or TL;DR, BF2:MC has the better Campaign, BF4 has the better Multiplayer (in my opinion.)

This game got me into battlefield. This game actually got me into ps2 games in general along with scooby doo first frights! I remember getting stuck on the 3rd mission because I didn't know how to zoom in with the sniper (i was 11 don't judge me lol)
same, I loved that mission actually, but I was like 5 or 6 then but I learned how to aim so I completed it (remember getting to the first chinese mission where you are parachuting done but I think thats how far I manage to get)
Ohhhh the memories. But the sad part I've had this back in 2010 and when I first got introduced to online gaming and when I tried to go online with this game on xbox 360 and ps2 the servers completely shut down. I never played online on this game I freaked out sooo bad. ;-;
The maps were huge, you felt like you were playing a movie set piece. It was a true experience and not a gamey product full of D&D attributes and points and stuff going on

This was one of the first games I ever played. I never was able to get M rated games until a few years ago, but this game is what started my love for FPS games. I never really heard of this game from the community, so I didn’t really think much of it. Most of the time it was skipped over and never mentioned. I found the disc and all the memories came back. My 4 year old self never being able to get past the sniper mission, and having my dad do it for me. Having tanks roll in towards my position and taking out an AT4 and taking it out in three shots. This music that I remember from the menu is what I will never forget. Even though I’m more of a COD fan now, this song will always hold a special place in my heart.
11 Years and 8 games later, I'm still playing the Battlefield series. Battlefield 2 may objectively be the best game, and Bad Company is what kicked off my long lasting love for the series, but Modern Combat was my first, and I'll always have a little bit of love for that reason. Now I own every game from 1942 til Battlefield 4 - excluding 2142, and I don't regret a minute of it(except playing the BF4 campaign, that was ass) and all of it is thanks to this game. If only my PS2's memory didn't get corrupted half way through, BF2:MC may have ended up being the first game I ever finished... instead that title would go to Bad Company the next year when I finished it over the weekend on my grandma's 360.. Either way, Battlefield is deeply rooted in this gamer's blood.
The Arctic Gamer this was also my first battlefield game I was playing on the XBOX and loved the game compared to most game even more so then halo ce I was young and emotionless at the time so rage never appeared in this game ive done the last mission “Flying the Flag” it is not hard if you play the game as much as i did
This got me into battlefield and is still my favourite for one reason, there was no "story" campaign, you were just a regular flootslogger getting orders from a radio briefing in the loading screen, you just felt like an average soldier being sent out into it. Can't really get on with the newer battlefields, bad company is always gonna be a great one and battlefield 3's opening missions were awesome. But I never liked the hollywood blockbuster style to the story and the characters, you're suddenly at the centre of it and some big name guy in the story. Yknow the fact there has to be nukes and some big complicated war between the US and some generic expectable villain. Loved this game cos you were just playing frontline soldiers from both sides of the war, and no context or backstory or emotion. No cute cutscenes and quotes and memorable characters, just a "attention soldier, here are your orders" then the mission began. Felt more badass playing this then pretending to be in blackburn's shoes for bf3's campaign, or trying to care about the characters in bf4's campaign, this old modern combat's campaign is funnily the most memorable. And hotswapping! switching between different soldiers on the field, kinda made me think of the old star wars battlefronts with how you could change class without respawning. Used to use the hotswitch feature like an agent from the Matrix, whenever I was about to die i'd body swap with the nearest ally and counterattack. It was just one of those old cool games you don't see many of, every game tries to be the next big blockbuster with a killer story, but I think it's better when you keep it simple. As such I love this game more than bf3 and the other new bf titles (Yes I say that even though "going hunting" was an awesome mission in bf3, it doesnt have the same feeling this game gave me). I think it's mostly childhood nostalgia, but it did it for me, whereas most new titles ive already forgotten and won't be looking back on.
When i played Bf1 for the first time i remember thinking that all the missions in the game would be like the first one but that wasnt the case. The one blockbuster style camapaign i enjoyed was the Last Tiger from BFV but it wasnt the best either.
This was my first Battlefield game. I beat the Campaign many, many times and enjoyed every minute of it. This game needs to be Remastered. Just upgrade the graphics, don't change anything else.
I played BF2:MC on PS2 before I switched to PC version of BF2. Though original Battlefields such on PC are the best (Battlefield 2 on PC is the pinnacle of the series), Modern Combat was still extremely fun to play and in my opinion the best console Battlefield version ever made. BF3 and BF4 are both only shades of what BF series actually can do and that's where Modern Combat shines alongside classic PC Battlefields. Large map to play on, lots of room to flank and tactics unlike in BF3 and BF4. 5 classes, emphasis on taking flags and vehicles were funny to play and they were also powerful (as it should be).
No wonder Call of Duty is in so much competition! You can tell just by listening to the music! I equally love both Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare and Battlefield 4 to death. Those two franchises will always hold a special place in my heart.
I Love COD more than Battlefield Because 1.Battlefield games are made by EA so it is costly 2.COD has always had an more meaningful and heart touching story 3.COD may not have very impressive graphics like BF but I Really COD from the bottom of my heart Anyway Battlefield may have better campaigns than COD but COD has better characters and story
