- The best game song ever!!! I do not own any rights to this song, I just wanted to give people what they want with this 1 hour och constant and uninterrupted song of awesomeness.

Battlefield 1942: A game released in 2002, were you could since be a captain of a ship like Yamato, the largest battleship ever lauched to a simple destroyer or even a submarine.
Were you could pilot a stuka or a B17, the flying fortress, a Spitfire or a BF109. A game were you could order artillery from your sniper. Were you could invade islands and beachs with anphibious vehicles. A game were you had a lot of variety of weapons and factions, a lot of diferent maps.
WTF happened to the today's games? I continue to play modern games and I can't find the same enviroment that BF1942 had, no matter how simple the graphics were.
I miss playing this game a lot, would take it any day over all the new games released these days...

I know right, in todays games you can never find any game like battlefield 1942 honestly masterpiece. I love it so much I play it everyday hit me up if you wanna do a 1v1
You're honestly overstating the ability to pilot ships in BF1942 - it's pure nostalgia. The guns were often wrong, the maps were facsimiles of the real locations, the ships and carriers were shrunk down - and for tech reasons which makes sense but don't let nostalgia override your sense of reality - it was a nice coat of WWII paint on a very fun arcade-style multiplayer game. That's it.
i just feel sorry for all the kids today who never got to experience what we old gamer's did :)

Agreed. And they took forever too. Also note. This track became a STAPLE of battlefield. There hasn't been a Single BF track, (besides BC, I never really played Bad Company so idk,) released that hasn't had a varient of this theme.

Yep. I'm sick of vehicle classes with insane skill ceilings that don't add to the game (jets) (although it's debatable how much of that is skill, to be fair, considering how it's about abusing the jet physics, lol), gimicky shit that seems to count as significant content when it's not (swimming, active radar, even SRAW), and instant kill clone-esque weapons (although I'd say DICE did a decent job, considering the limitations modern weapons puts on them).
Epic Gamerz I agree, that is not Battlefield and doesn't deserve the series title. But it's not like BF was headed in a good direction before Hardline. Vehicle spawns on flags? Active radar? Even worse attack chopper balance? I expect BF5 to be just as bad as BF4 if not worse. Only good thing I've seen DICE doing is working on server and engine issues such as tickrate.
The first 1 hours was my favourite ^_^

Ever since I played Battlefield 1942 game this song has been stuck in my head, and that's been over 8 years ago, and in my own opinion, the new Battlefields will never be as good as the originals (this is also my opinion on Call of Duty) , assuming they continue making games like the are nowadays.

I've played 3 and 4 and i've already forgotten the background music, it was so fucking mediocre.
I first played this game around 8 years ago and I still remember this tune perfectly. I even hum it from time to time without realizing.
I always thought that the one thing our generation did right was videogames, but seeing how both Ubisoft and EA are simply putting out the same old shit over and over i might have to rethink that.
I guess i should look into the indipendent producers like Bethesda and From Software for more quality work.

Battlefield 1942 is the best battlefield series because you play the game with A.I. not human on controlling anything you like tanks, plane, etc. Playing with human you get killed in just few minutes time. And this song is playing during the game bring another +50% of the excitement.

Yah know, every time a new JRPG comes out and I get mesmorized by an amazing soundtrack, start thinking Japan will always be better at video-game soundtracks, I remember the battlefield 1942 theme. Never have I seen such a catchy, perfectly fitting and well made song. Its one of the few songs I cant help but smile to.

Man, this brings back some memories:
- getting banned from a 1942 Demo server for being overly competent in an Aichi Val bomber.
- swooping low in a Spitfire and dipping the wing to "collision" kill a man on the ground.
- entering a vertical loop, ejecting, free-falling, and re-entering the looping Bf-109.
- ramming jeeps into the back of tanks to destroy them.
- Desert Combat mod.
What a time to have been a gamer. Kids will never know...
