  • Learn More About SimpLESSity (my Declutter Your Home program) here: www.alejandra....
    ------------------------------------------------------------
In this video I explain how my own life became so overwhelming that it brought me to a near breaking point. I'll tell you how I got through it and come back on the other side feeling stronger than ever, and how you can too, if you feel overwhelmed by clutter.
In this video I give you the "short" story of my overwhelm since this video was getting a bit long :) But the full story with all the details can be found on my blog here: www.alejandra.t...
In the second half of this video, I give you a preview of my new decluttering program, SimpLESSity, in which I teach you how to declutter your home from top to bottom using my clear, simple, and easy-to-follow simplifying process!
    Here's What's Included:
    ------------------------------------------------------------
    150+ Pages of Training Material
    ------------------------------------------------------------
✓150+ pages of my exact step-by-step decluttering process to simplify your home.
✓Extremely easy-to-follow and filled with process guides, photos, graphics, colored charts, tables, and bulleted lists making the concepts simple to grasp and understand!
✓I walk you through my complete decluttering process from getting started to permanently removing your unwanted items out of your home - for good.
    ------------------------------------------------------------
28 Videos (7+ Hours of Training!)
    ------------------------------------------------------------
✓You’ll receive 28 videos that walk you through the SimpLESSity process every step of the way.
✓7+ hours of realistic video training. If you’ve ever sat down and gone through every single item inside your home, you know it’s a long process. This program is an accurate representation of how long the decluttering process actually takes! And if you begin to feel discouraged when you start decluttering your own home, use the videos as background inspiration to help you reach completion!
✓Videos are organized by space, so if you don’t need to declutter your office, simply skip the three “Simplify Your Office” videos.
✓Together we’ll declutter and simplify (on camera; talking through the process) my closet, my husband’s closet, the bathroom, the office, the kitchen, the linen closet, the coat closet, pet supplies, the media closet (all the dreaded wires and cables!), and books and games.
✓Two of the videos include packing the car and forever getting rid of our unwanted items! Together we’ll drive around town making donations and responsibly recycling all sorts of things that no longer serve us!
✓In the videos you’ll watch my husband and me get rid of 800+ pounds of clutter while only sending less than 1% directly to our local landfill. Everything else was sold, donated, or responsibly recycled or disposed!
    ------------------------------------------------------------
    9 Printable Checklists for Simplifying
    ------------------------------------------------------------
✓Included are 9 printable checklists for simplifying your home (these checklists are not available for purchase anywhere outside this program).
✓All printables have type-able fields which means you can type into your checklists before printing (or just save it on the computer for continual reuse).
    ------------------------------------------------------------
31-Page A-Z Chart on Where to Sell, Donate, & Responsibly Recycle Your Clutter
    ------------------------------------------------------------
✓Included you’ll receive access to my 31-page A-Z chart on where to sell, donate, and responsibly recycle your unwanted clutter!
✓Chart is extremely organized with 143 national (U.S.) resources on where to sell, donate, & recycle household items. However, if you live outside the U.S., you can still use the chart as a guide for making decisions. The program also includes more “generic” lists & ideas for how to responsibly get rid of your clutter which applies to anyone inside or outside the U.S.
✓All resources listed have clickable links.
    ------------------------------------------------------------
    Access to Private Facebook Group
    ------------------------------------------------------------
✓As a bonus, when you join SimpLESSity, you’ll get lifetime access to our private, invite-only, non-judgmental, Facebook group where you can discuss your decluttering journey with other members of the program, find support (and help others) to overcome challenges, find an accountability buddy, inspire others by posting photos of everything you’re letting go of, find motivation seeing other people’s progress, and celebrate your success with members while also celebrating the success of others!

Anthony Robbins says that we don't change until the pain of not changing becomes greater than the pain of changing. We purhased a vacation home 5 years ago and completely furnished it. We decided to move to it permanently about a year ago and sell our original home. We sold it furnished and only took our personal items and items we knew would have a proper place in the vacation home...paid for a dumpster at our old place to dispose of junk and left if for a week with the buyers to further discard anything they didn't want. We've not missed one single thing from that house - we just walked away and it's like a huge load has been lifted from our shoulders. Now this is one way to do it! xoxo patti 🎀

    • @rxstrmom

I think it depends on what one is walking away from. This was just stuff - nothing more. Obviously relationships are different - some we truly do need to walk away from. If something is not working for us and it harms no one in the process then if we need to make a change we should...that's my opinion...

I was actually thinking a few years ago, "I wonder if she will eventually go more minimalistic." Because I had already gotten to that point. When you evaluate the stuff in your life you realize you don't actually use as much stuff as you have. Plus, it takes a lot to manage. Like one person said, "50 pairs of shoes, no mater how organized, still looks like 50 pairs of shoes." I've been simplifying for years and making better systems.

    • @KBurns7
      @KBurns7 7 лет назад +4

imbonnie I was wondering that, too. I actually found her AFTER I had decluttered and minimized my life which is weird to be watching organizing videos, but it was all there was on simplifying back around 2011 or 2012. I really like her so I'm glad she's promoting voluntary simplicity.

I so appreciate you! I am newly retired ( tired ) Neonatal RN at 63. I've worked long 12-16 hours shifts most of my career, raised children and let the "stuff accumulate in our home~ that seemed to multiply on it's own? . I also inherited more "stuff" as well as grown kid "stuff" . My "stuff " just got pushed aside while I was working so hard for so many years and keeping up with day to day living and life. Now, I can breathe, rest, and for once in my life, I have time :). Since it was time now to purge and organize our home, I started looking at all of our rooms that need organizing ( and an overwhelming garage that I can hardly walk in~ literally ), I thought to search on the you tube for HELP . Thankfully I found you~ I love your videos, thank you so much. As I tackle each spot, or room , or closet , or anything here, I am looking at your videos as a resource. You have been such a blessing to watch and learn from~ thank you again. Patty from the NW.

I can't wait to be done to start the next phase. What I love most of all about her is the way she explains things in a way I can relate to and understand without feeling any guilt at all.

Alejandra, I have to tell you that you have changed my life. I was clinically depressed, overwhelmed, unhealthy, and exhausted, but still working, working, working -- all day long it seemed -- just to maintain my state of chaos. Everyone I reached out to just gave me what they had to offer, not what I really needed. The doctor gave me meds. The counsellor gave me "support". The naturopath gave me vitamins. It all helped a little, but it didn't do much to really transform the difficult life I was living. One day I stumbled upon your video, "The Most Organized Home in America". It look less than 20 minutes for me to watch it, but by the end, I knew I wasn't depressed anymore. You taught me the skill of really looking at my surroundings and paying attention to why they are not working. Then, you armed me with the tools, skills, and motivation I needed to start changing things, one little space at a time. Order is peace!! This truth is so underrated!! I wish every doctor who ever prescribed antidepressants first asked patients about the state of their home.... we are living in overwhelming times and most of us were not taught these essential skills to manage an increasingly unmanageable amount of stuff.
Also, I wanted to say that I am so proud of you as a person. Your personality really shines through in your videos, and I can see that you have put yourself out there with courage and vulnerability to spread this message that is helping so many. The change in YOU is so apparent! You have gone though a transformation by simplifying your life! It is encouraging and inspiring.
I have never been one to make big public comments like this, but of all the self-help resources I've turned to over the years, you have helped me more than anyone else. I couldn't let a gift like that come into my life without a proper thank-you. God bless you!

Thank you for having this new programme. i believe it will be a great help for a lot of people. 👍👍👍

I had 4 kids, all teenagers at the same time. I was overwhelmed every day. One thing I learned is that things do not have to be perfect all the time. You do what you need to do and the rest can wait until tomorrow. You get your priorities done. You cannot sweat the small stuff, like a little dirt on the floor, or toys all around, or whatever. Great video! My daughter is doing this to her house and self, simplifying everything.

I became overwhelmed watching organization videos. it really does depend on the person because somethings work for others and somethings don't. I learned that the hard way. I became flustered, I wanted to throw everything away. it seriously is causing sadness for me. I clean and clean and nothing seems to work. it really is nice to live simple. who needs a room full of things you might want to do later. thanks for all you do, you have certainly taught me many things.

Your video was made for me...After a 2 year separation from a 30 year marriage, there has been everything that was too much, relationship "stuff", relocating, moving, decluttering, trying to find a new home, figure what I needed for that home, meeting a " new" someone special, getting our families aquainted, + dealing w/ work, health problems, my mother's failing health, friendships, etc...the list goes on....this message rang true to my soul & simplyfying my life is the answer, as I am that crying breakdown stage....I'm ready for baby steps into a brand new world that I can create at my speed & w/ 1 choice at a time.

Your absolute correct, theirs no need to purchase their, so call simplicity program when theirs plenty of RUclips video for free, it's sooo obvious that they're hurting for money, this just another "get quick rich gimmick scheme, only idiots who have to much time on their hands will fall for this trick...Alejandra honey tricks are for kids, but I ain't one of them...bye Alejandra it was fun while it lasted.
unfortunately I ain't no one ginny pig...her RUclips rating must be hurting, perhaps it time for both her husband and her to come back to reality land and find some real nine to five JOB's instead of trying to have RUclipsr's people support your wanna be fabulous lifestyle with your get quick gimmicks and schemes..this Alejandro ain't falling for it, not today, tomorrow or the day after tomorrow...C Yaaaa don't want to be yayyyy✌🏼️✌🏼✌🏼...next fool in line.

Adoboman Goyaman If ppl are willing to pay for a service, what's it to you whether they do it through RUclips or not? This service has value. I'm not personally willing to pay for it, but I know others value her information & content. What's the difference between what she's offering and a book? They both provide information, a book just has more words you have to read & frankly I don't have enough time in the day to go through all that. Some ppl with busy lives prefer a condensed, shortcut version that provides you the checklists & researched resources of national decluttering programs. I'm sick of this mentality that anything else but a 9-5, that gets you stuck behind a desk, doesn't count as an actual job. Just bc you don't see the behind-the-scenes, doesn't mean any less time researching, content-organizing, editing, shooting, re-shooting, editing some more, and setting up websites, distribution, SEO, contact management, etc isn't also required. Brands don't just fall out of the sky, they take effort to build.
This is my 1st time seeing her & I looked at the 45 min on the video and thought who the hell has time to watch all this? Is it worth it? But I peeked at the comments & you only have to look at the response she's getting to know she provides ppl alot of value & inspiration. We're so spoiled as a society of getting information for free online, we don't realize how much time goes into that stuff. But nothing is free, all that available info is meant to sell you on the idea so that you can invest further down line. She has put out enough free content, it looks like hours & hours of it that I think she's owed her due. Btw RUclips isn't that easy to make money bc the market is saturated so competition is steep. You're living off of ad revenue alone & most ppl skip ads or have ad-blocker so it's not really the best way of making income. That's why most RUclips channels have side ventures like blogs or programs like the one she's offering.
The fool is the one who looks at what she's offered ppl all this time & dismisses it as some quick get-rich scheme. If you had a following like her with ppl in the comments ASKING you to write a book bc they're willing to pay, you're telling me that you wouldn't take that opportunity to make money off your skills? Even if they're requesting to PAY? LIES---you know, you would. Any smart person would. Nobody should throw away good service like that, especially if your followers are encouraging you & giving permission. It only took me scrolling thru freaking comments to be impressed by this woman I've never seen before. She's obviously got something powerful. Don't you dare put her down for offering her time & service to ppl. You can tell she's genuine just from 5 min of watching this video. Now I may not have time or money to invest in her, but I sure as hell am not gonna hate or knock her for seeing value in herself. Everybody has a purpose in this life ---and no, it's not a 9 to 5 enslaved desk job.

I know exactly what you are talking about and as scary as it is to do it is the best thing that we can do for ourselves...truly. After i lost my mother, my husband and I started a whole new chapter of our marriage, moved from east coast to west coast ( San Diego) got rid of so many things, and left so much behind and reclaimed OUR lives...some people thought we were crazy,or even selfish but we all only get one life....and at some point you have to live and make it happen !!!!! I love your videos and am so glad I found you. Much love and happiness in your marriage. We just celebrated our 35th anniversary and we are happier than ever.

Since I started watching your video's on utube I have done the declutter and got everything organized. I love waking up each day knowing what my day consists of. My house is so clean and looks amazing and I love having it this way. I never had a dirty house and everything was always pretty clean just not clean enough. I have gave away and donated many things and now my closets and dresser drawers are so much neater. The cabinets in the kitchen and bathroom are now all organized and looks so good. I just love having everything in a place. I was always like this but I also got overwhelmed and let things get out of hand. Thanks so much for all your videos and advice

'How I got out of my breaking point... I decided not to be upset anymore'. Wish it could be that simple for someone with mental illnesses like depression or PTSD or anxiety (of which I have all three) what you explained as your lowest point is every day life for someone like me. I'm glad you're feeling better, it's rare to find someone like you and I was sad to hear you were struggling. Your videos make me feel better if only just for a little while. I have the problem where I have a need for everything to be organised and clean but physically cannot make myself get it done because of my mental illness and my medical illness as well- it's incredibly frustrating. I'm hoping that this year my plan to start over fresh with my kids will make things better for us as a family. I have no idea why I'm babbling... I tend to do that. Congratulations on getting your life back on track, and thank you for helping me feel a bit better of a night when I'm at my lowest and giving me ideas for the new house I plan to move into this year and build a new life from scratch.

This made me cry. My husband and I get so down and stressed out by our jobs and then after moving almost a year ago we haven't had the drive or energy to finish unpacking. Both spare bedrooms are packed with boxes! It's so hard for us to give away things we spent money on, thinking we will need it some day but knowing it doesn't have to go in the trash but go to someone else who may need it now (instead of me holding it for possibly using it down the road and never using it!). This has inspired me and not feel so alone in the stress of clutter. It truly is a major factor that ppl don't even consider. Our back hallway is stacked with boxes we haven't unpacked because we don't need or use the stuff but can't seem to separate ourselves from it all. Because of this we haven't been able to use it properly to put our shoes, boots, hang our coats, etc...and have had to put them up on our table to keep them from becoming chew toys for the dog! That's so ridiculous now to me after watching this to think that was a huge selling point to have that huge mud room and we haven't even used it yet! Why!?!? Knowing there are places out there that will take it and get it to the proper ppl is very much inspiring to let it go! I'm so glad I found this video and you (and your hubby, can't forget him! It's huge to have that support from your partner!) I'm sending this video to my husband and since we moved to the country to help clear our " minds" of mental "city stress" he will be able to listen to the video on the hour ride home tonight. I could go on and on about how this is going to change our lives but I'm sure you know already. I'm very excited to get started! Side note-I have a bunch of the little containers you organized in the up cycled Saran Wrap box! That's so smart! I'm going to do that for mine because they are just all over in the drawer. The ideas from your other videos are so great! The cake pans with marbles to make a lazy Susan I love too! So many ideas! Can't wait to get started. Now I have a actual use for the cool new designs of duct tape! (My father called duct tape "Jesus tape" growing up because he claimed it created miracles when using it for so many things! Lol). Thank you again for sharing your own personal struggles with the world! Such a private thing that shows us we aren't alone, you aren't alone! I look forward to sharing before and afters on your face book and get inspired by others. Now I'm off to begin my life changing decluttering.... xo

Alejandra, my life's been crazy and up and down like that for almost 2 years now and I think I'm finally getting over the hump of all the difficult things. I moved into an apartment with my fiance on my birthday, my 26th birthday, and EVERYTHING changed. Insurances, credit cards, even my raise kicked in...It's been so hard and I've been trying to organize and tidy the whole time...I spent about the first year cleaning up a hoard essentially and just putting categories together in boxes, and moved twice...all while having health issues...I had my gall bladder removed 1.5 yr ago, and had my wisdom teeth pulled this past summer which was really ROUGH, and I broke my foot between moves....it's been a lot...This helped me feel validated on why I've been slacking personally, and made me feel a lot better. Thank you so much, I always love your videos, they always help motivate me and give me ideas for things I need in my own life. NEED.

This is beautiful! I'm at the beginning of getting up. I just bought a few new furniture organizing things because I was frustrated and with no storage whatsoever. Plus I just got diagnosed with Crohn's disease a few yrs back so it hard to believe in myself. I have small closets, barely a few cabinets, no shelves, no desk, no cubes, no living room tables, nothing. Still I have nothing except the two new cube organizers I just bought, one at a time, for my living room and 2 yr olds room. My husband wants one for our room. I think I have something going here. It's just going to be a slow process buying them financially but slowly as we get them we are decluttering and purging one area and boxed corner at a time. Thanks to you and clutterbug cas. I keep my inspiration going with your guys videos each time I get a new piece of furniture. You guys are my heroes literally.

Alejandra, You're right where I am today. Well I'm a little past the desperate part now. After moving from CA to KY two years ago, my first year was exhausting and I was very depressed and over whelmed by everything even the simplest though, emotion and life! Losing my friends, family, and familiar surroundings, I just didn't know If I could go through another year. Being cooped up all winter, no friends, nothing familiar and in a much smaller home that wasn't even my own, just exaggerated and made every thing much worse then what it really was. I'm came to grips with most of this and now I'm almost myself and now wanting to purge, declutter, and reorganized into what you so eloquently call SimpLessity! Thank you for your encouragement, enthusiasm, energy, and awesome advise.
