A shower can go beyond basic hygiene and also be a fundamental part of overall self-care. For some people those few minutes in the shower is some of the only time alone they get to themselves during the day. A shower is a moment to refresh and reset. To belt out tunes you’d never let anyone hear. Somewhere to practice your pitch or come up with your best ideas. Or somewhere to forget about everything and just be.
If done right, it can also be the place you can care for and treat your skin to get it in the condition that you want it to be. So, in this video I want to go through 5 major things to focus on to get to the most effective, most pampering showers ever. If it’s not already, the shower might just become your favorite part of the day!

wonderful, especially the different showers! i have 4 different routines!
1. Summer showers: basically just hop in and wash off sweat with either just water or a bit of sensitive soap 2-3 minutes
2. Daily shower: I do basically the summer shower but properly lather up and wash without doing hair at all, this includes moisturising 5 odd minutes
3. Hair wash day: Daily shower plus washing hair normally, sometimes exfoliating and doing hair routine included 15-30 odd
4. Pamper shower: I shave, exfoliate, deep condition, feet scrub, mini mani pedi, use luxury products maybe etc this is usually a 1x a week thing depending on mood, time and energy. usually takes 1h plus and is followed by date night or going out with friends

When you said for some people a shower is the only alone time they get in a day, I felt that! I’m a new mom to twins and literally my shower is the only time I have to myself. You’ve really inspired me to take more time and pamper myself when I can in the shower/bath.

I love dry brushing and lymph massage…ladies lymph massage is a untaught game changer in cancer prevention…. It’s the lymph nodes (right arm pit called the tail of Spence) with antiperspirants it stops the ability to sweat causing toxins to build up there and the toxins building up causes a lump that festers into cancer…. Proper deodorant not antiperspirants!! Allow the natural sweat and followed by good lymph massage with get you ahead on prevention and routine self observation by lymph massages and very early detection can save your lives.
I had a lump and every year it was negative on the mamo and 3D sonograms…
They were just waiting for it to turn into cancer before helping me
I got another lump forming in the left arm pit….
Had lipo 360 that requires lymph massage….the guy I had massage me and in 3 days the left lump disappeared and the right one reduced in size
I continued to lymph massage myself as a part of my routine
I stopped the antiperspirants years ago and used baking soda mixed with coconut oil and it took 4-5 yrs for me to smell my natural funk and boy did it get strong😅but I was happy and living for my new fond discovery seeing it meant that I was finally releasing toxins as nature intended and my breast would be safe in the future
Since the right spongy lump had been there for 4yrs it taken 2yrs of consistent routine lymph massage in the hot shower and hot bath to reduce to back to normal soft tissue where it was dense spongy becoming my firm as years passed.
I can still see extra armpit fat where the lump used to be
So I know that will be a loose pocket where toxins can build again under the right circustances so I keep my dry brush by the tub and hit the shower to stand and focus on moving fluid and toxins out of my body.

I am sooo glad other women know about the lymphatic routines to get lymph flowing. Very thankful for your natural healing. Also I would just like to add that when during lymphatic routines to be sure to remember to alternate between hot water and cold water as much as you can tolerate. I’ve been doing these for years and had to work my way to tolerating very warm and cold water. Native works well for me if I ever need deodorant and is the only kind I use. I also use pure Castile soap and washes as well as homemade scrubs. Last thing… dedicate towels (or sponges) if normally use them for specific areas and do your best to not use the same one for face, body, and private areas. Another great video! Thank you for this great information and happy to hear you're naturally healing yourself! I also use native deodorant as I stopped using antiperspirants as well after reading the studies of our elders getting cancer due to the build up of deodorant over the years in the arm pits. This should certainly be discussed more.

Loving my exfoliating gloves - I have keratosis pilaris and added a salicylic acid wash- Nivea clear up -inexpensive foams well -my skin is so much smoother. For your tip of letting the product sit- I use Neutrogena wash & mask as a mask also with salicylic acid, for 10 mins before I shower 1-2 x a week.. Anecdotally the Nivea clear up wash contains sea salt and seems to help with psoriasis- for someone whose psoriasis improves after swimming in the sea. And loving my luxury showers.❤

Yup I have eczema and I cannot use a lot of scented products or even take long hot showers. As enjoyable as they feel, I end up damaging my skin. I highly recommend using shea butter and a dermatologist prescribed cream for it

Dove makes great body scrubs, btw! My fave scent is the coconut butter & brown sugar, but I like the white peach & rice kind better. I find that the white peach & rice has a much finer, gentler grit. It smells awesome too -- & I'm normally a die-hard gormand lover!
Small update: ngl, I've been playing with different kinds of scents (I was influenced by your love of fragrances) & I've found that I love fruity & slightly sweet scents just as much as I love gormands.

I love this video. Lol its so soothing. But every time i see that clip with 10,000 body scrubs in the shower i think about how that stuff will probably expire before that girl even gets to use all of them lol i scrub 3x a week which is the max reccomend amt and that thing lasts a while.😂😂
