EA Sports has been onto something really good with NBA Live 18 and 19 actually. My hope for them is that they've been continuing hard work behind the scenes to get ready for next-gen NBA Live and really come out with something new and fresh and with much-needed innovation in the genre. Would still love to see a sports game that doesn't come out each year and instead is released, and gets major updates over time.

It is funny how the people that play NBA 2k want EA to make a better basketball game. Meanwhile, the people that play Madden want 2k to make a football game.
12 years ago? Live's downfall started when they helped start 2k by telling Sega that they wanted the exclusive rights to basketball games on Dreamcast and saga said hell no and bought a small studio called Visual Concepts to make a basketball game for them.

They don't have a "hold" on it to let go, they just got the money to get all the licenses from the teams. It's not like american sports where the league/player associations negotiate the deals, a lot of the individual clubs do it. PES is a better soccer game, but it doesnt have the "myteam" card trading system, and is a few years behind fifa in terms of getting all the teams in the game. So it isn't as popular w/o the cards, and as of a few years ago, were still missing the rights of some teams the 2nd tier leagues. Basically if you had a billion dollars you could compete with FIFA and EA can't do anything about it.

Monty Dennis Madden and FIFA my g. Back in the day you’d be right, but they do have them. They call in the players and do multiple shoots for their face scans and there’s even footage on RUclips. Just search it up, you won’t be disappointed! :)
The only thing i won’t like if 2k took over a game like madden is that in career mode you would be using vc or whatever it currency they use instead of xp.

NFL street was amazing back then and if EA sees that Playgrounds is anything close to being successful best believe we'd get an NFL Street Remastered or a NFL Street 3. I'm all for it tho.
