I drove a 996 Turbo on the track. Even that much older Turbo had awesome aerodynamics. Braking hard at 150 mph the car was super stable, even on rough pavement, and had almost no noticeable dive or tracking error to correct. It really felt more solid and stable at 150 than most cars feel at 50. And that was a 996, ten years and two generations ago! I can only imagine the new 991 Turbo is more like a space ship than a car. Until you have driven a Turbo you have no idea!
Wow that is so nice! Love the looks of the active spoilers as well, nice that you can choose between the different modes! Looking forward to upgrading my 997 Turbo to a 991 in a few years :)
If I could have one car, for everything, it would be this without question. Sure, I love the McLaren F1 more than any other car, and I do love BMW for bigger more accessable, but this is economy when you want it as well. Comfort on long journeys. A terror on the track. It covers more bases than any other car, ever. Throw some snow tires on it, and you've got all seasons covered. For just me and 1 passenger, if I won't the lottery, this would be my first purchase.
awesome, way to go porsche! although there is one thing buzzed me up, earlier in highway mode u said that the front splitter goes upward and produces lower drag hence resulting lower fuel consumption..on the contrary the rear spoiler rise about 20mm and produces higher downforce(albeit more drag, compensating the "lower fuel consumption" advantage before.. ) any further explanation about this one?
A magnificent motor car, very likely the BEST high performance daily-driver in the world. I'd love one, a lifetime of driving tells me how good they really are. Sadly, I'd love the money to afford one too. WF
Did the ending say it gives it 2 seconds on the Nuerburgring? As in the nordschliefe? That's not much time at all (and it would be hard to measure). Also, the sign for the track at the 2:20 mark looks very different.
