The Moscow Mule is a super simple drink yet surprisingly flavourful. Grab a glass, pour and squeeze some lime and you've got an incredibly delicious mixed drink. The key to a great Mule is choosing a suitable ginger beer with a good amount of spice from the ginger - I recommend Bundaberg Ginger Beer.
The drink was named the Moscow Mule due to the 1940s American perception that vodka was a Russian spirit and its intense ginger kick (like a Mule). It was originally made with Smirnoff vodka.

INGREDIENTS
- 60ml Vodka (originally Smirnoff)
- 90ml Ginger Beer (Recommended: Bundaberg - bit.ly/bundaberg-ginger-beer)
- 15mL Fresh Lime Juice
HOW TO
1. Fill your copper mule mug with ice
2. Add the vodka, top with ginger beer and squeeze in the lime juice
3. Garnish with the spent lime wedges

Ginger ale is different than ginger beer.
Ginger beer not ginger ale - different drinks. Ginger ale is more for Jamieson whiskey.

In Brazil we make it just like the typical version but with a twist, we add ginger foam on top of it, makes it very creamy and light. So good! You guys should definitely look it up

I tried the cocktail for the first time this weekend at a bar and was looking for the recipe to recreate the drink at home. The one I had, had ginger and mint garnish as well.

The best mug is the Yeti lowball as my Yeti keeps the ice frozen and not melted like those copper mugs which transfer heat quickly and dilute the drink

I need to take a photo of it so drinking it makes quite a bit more work tasting it - trying to keep it streamlined as it averages out to 2 hours per day (filming, editing, posting, etc.) and I've already got a full workload before starting the vids :)

Can you substitute the lime for lemon juice? I’m asking because I don’t have any lime juice but I do have lemon juice.
Sure can! It will be different but it will still work nonetheless.. lemons have more sugar and less acidity FYI.

Really like your channel & have used several of your recipes. Recommended you, of course! I think you may have got the measurements wrong in this recipe. 60 mills of anything is a very small amount. 2 ounces is around 6,0000 mills.

Its similar to the Tequila Mule, which is made with tequila instead of Vodka.
It's also one of Justin Timberlakes fav.

Nice one! It’s normally served with ginger beer.. something spicy works best.. mint garnish also isn’t the norm but you can add it as a garnish if preferred..
